Sometimes one good idea leads to another. Such is the case with Bridges. With the success of Music on the Square, we began imagining what could happen next. The location next door (19 North Indiana) was up for sale, so we bought it and began thinking of what would be complementary. We started imagining Bridges as a wine bar offering interesting wines to Greencastle. But we soon added a wood burning pizza oven from Italy and more of a restaurant evolved. Ultimately, the idea of Bridges Wine Bar was born. The basement has become a private dining room called The Cellar, an open terrace area on top of the building, which will be used in nice weather, called The Rooftop, and there will be three fully furnished rental apartments which we call The Lofts at Bridges.
We hope you will like our addition to the Square of Greencastle.

We had a great evening at Bridges. We took friends from out of town (Charolette). We’ve been there several times but had not been seated in the cellar. We really enjoyed it. We love the rooftop in the summer too! We all had pasta and it was great. The seafood fondue was delish too! The service is always great too. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed the wedge salad, charcuterie board, but our spaghetti and meatballs were not good. The meatballs were so dried out. We’ve gotten them before and they were delicious so not sure if it’s a new recipe, or what…The wine was good, and we love the atmosphere. Will try again a different time.

Seafood fondue as good as any restaurant in Switzerland. Grilled romaine is one of my favorites. Enjoyed a fungi and wise guy pizzas great. Had friends from Indianapolis join us, commented that it wouldn’t be there last visit!

Up until this visit, I felt that Bridges ranked every bit with the best restaurants in Indianapolis. This time, there was a noticeable decline. Other than an exceptional bottle of wine, the quality of the food was not of the standard I expected. I sense I am not the only one who has experienced this as the restaurant was not bustling as it had during all of our previous visits. As a foodie, my next visit experience will need to improve.

Love this place! Drive an hour from Indy to go here. Food, service and ambiance top notch. Better than most restaurants in Indy and larger cities. Calamari usually has lemon slices in it which are AMAZING. Au gratin cauliflower is delicious. Have not had anything that disappointed in 4 trips here.

Bridges is a favorite of mine. Their brick oven pizza is wonderful. They have an amazing wine list, with some of my favorite wines on tap. The staff is always knowledgeable and ready to help you pick the right wine for your meal. I had the basil risotto on this visit and it was good. The risotto needed a little more seasoning, but the prawns were cooked and seasoned well.

Celebrating New Year’s Eve, expecting some extra touches but there were none. We also celebrated New Year’s Eve last year at bridges. That dinner, the service was outstanding. Lastly, the after dinner coffee seemed different. Last year the coffee was strong and excellent. This year the coffee was weak and didn’t stay hot for long. Sorry to say this because I’ve eaten at bridges many times and have always thought it was first class.

Everything I've ever ordered here is delicious. Not only is this the best restaurant in Greencastle, it's one of the best restaurants in Indiana and surrounding area. Their oxtail poutine was fabulous; their salads are crisp and fresh; the wise guy pizza has an amazing bacon jam on it. I highly recommend this place.
