The food & service were good, but they were out of Chardonnay and both of the courses that my wife wanted.

Very nice staff, however, we went there for the halibut & chips & they didn’t have halibut. Overheard another customer say the last time she was a few weeks ago there they we out of halibut then too. Hmmmm...wonder what the issue is. I let our waitress know my fries were cold and she promptly brought me fresh, hot fries. I would go again if they have halibut:-)

My family of four ate dinner at Brian's Pourhouse after a day of rafting the Deschutes in Maupin. Our reservation was at 7:45, and they were able to seat us when we arrived at about 7:30. That was great. Unfortunately, we went 10 minutes without seeing a server; when she arrived, she was fantastic...but we only saw her two more times throughout the night. Our food took nearly 35 minutes to get, so we were beyond hungry when it made it to our table. I ordered the vodka shrimp cavatappi – awesome. Sons' burger and chicken Caesar fair, and my husband's fish & chips yummy though scanty in portion size. Bill was $91. The restaurant just didn't seem ready to handle the volume of guests they had (it was the night before Labor Day). Overall, I've had a hard time finding a good meal in Hood River that doesn't take a really long time to get to the table. And everyone's there being active and is worn out, ready to eat! Brian's Pourhouse is cool and quaint, but I can't wholeheartedly recommend it because of the long wait.

Great Place! It was a Thursday night and pretty quiet, but it get busy on weekends in the summer.

New owners. Good, but not quite the same. Memorial Day weekend, and the place was pretty quiet when all of the other restaurants were packed.
