Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Brewsters Monday afternoon with my husband, son and daughter-in-law. The service is excellent, the food is outstanding and the surroundings are beautiful. I love the natural light in the bar dining room. The outdoor seating is also lovely, each table private and inviting. Fabulous experience.

Everything about the restaurant makes for an unforgettable experience when it comes to dining. I highly recommend Brewster’s to anyone in the area. There are not many restaurants as excellent as Brewster’s.

This place has gone downhill. It was a nice, family-oriented, reasonably priced, friendly restaurant...always our "go-to". Now they threaten to charge your credit card when you make a reservation. But if you stop in without reservation, they say they are full with many tables open. And watch out for all the extra charges: Charge for extra bread? Automatic service charge? Wanna tip the wait staff AND the cooks? Dinner for two and order a pizza outside the boundaries, extra charge! Your bill will most likely be more than you expect. We eat here about one quarter of what we used to...and as year-round residents, we don't expect to be back in the winter when they are "starving" for guests after your "summer of arrogance".

Seated on time with our reservation. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Enjoyed the dinner for two— a great value, by the way— and the food was outstanding— from the tasty shrimp chowder and generous house salad, pizza and lasagna! Topped off with a great cup of coffee and no pressure or rush to clear the table! Enjoyed the entire meal and experience. Definitely would return when in the area again.

You can't beat Brewster's for ambiance and service. Our server could not have been better. The food is very good though not exceptional. We were put off by suggestion on the bill for additional tip for the chef. What?

Roosters is one of my favorite places to die! Cannot be topped with the ambience of the outdoor seating, and that Queen Victoria salad, one of our favorites in the past was the pasta Primavera, and was disappointed that that was not offered. Please bring it back!

Seated within 5 minutes of reservation but after the drink order everything slowed down. Took 45 minutes to get our meal and one had to be sent back because it was cold. Food for the most part was pretty tasty seasoning wise with a couple exceptions. Bolognese was bland and salmon on the specialty salad was cardboard hard.

Overall, Brewster’s is a great place for lunch or dinner in New Buffalo. Especially their outdoor seating which is lovely. My family of three had dinner a few nights ago and our server was extremely good at her job, very friendly and the food was excellent as usual. This particular evening we were seated in a nice spot inside the restaurant. But about halfway through our meal, a bachelorette party was seated next to us with 15 excited young women. I’m all for a fun party, but in the small space with all wood floors and walls, the noise was positively deafening. It spoiled the rest of our meal. I love Brewsters, but I think they should work to create a dedicated space for larger groups.

The lunch items were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were, however, in the search of brunch. It would have been great it the reservation service Open Table could have told us that the brunch items stopped being served at 11:30. We would have gone elsewhere.

Spur of the moment decisions led us to a nearby cocktails bar with a super limited snacks menu. Looking for something more substantive, we managed a booking here and it was a GREAT choice. Excellent service, delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced (always expected we would find Chicago/tourist rates) food, PLUS their cocktails were superior to our first stop. Really couldn’t say enough nice things about the experience.

We had a lovely experience at Brewster's. The outdoor patio is a lovely space to enjoy a nice evening. The service was excellent, drinks were spot on (extra points for making a proper dirty martini and an excellent gimlet), and the food was simply perfect. We will be back again soon.

Our first trip here was a delight. The food was great and the ambience was perfect, but this time, our waiter was very slow and had such a strange manner. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the table, then another 15 for our drinks. not worth it. disappointed.

After we had made plans to visit New Buffalo, a friend posted on Facebook that they were visiiting their favorite restaurant on their way to Chicago. The restaurant was Brewster's Italian Cafe. I looked at their menu online and immediately made a reservation! The food was delicious, our server was beyond compare (wish I could remember her name), and it was a wonderful dining experience. We took a chance and tried to go back the next night, but they were booked up. I would definitely dine here again and recommend to anybody and everybody!
