A beautiful, locally owned restaurant located in downtown New Buffalo, Michigan; Brewster’s New Buffalo puts a modern twist on traditional Italian fare. Our Chef uses a wide variety of fresh, innovative ingredients to create dishes. Our sommelier and bar manager take pride in curating the finest selection of liquor, beer and wine, including wonderful locally and Michigan made specialties.

We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every day, all year round! (Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day)

When we walked there were two young ladies at the desk, looking down doing something. My husband and I stepped up to the counter, neither one looked up or acknowledged us. They continued to complete whatever task they were doing. One of the ladies did eventually acknowledge us. I cannot remember what exactly she said but it was not said in a welcoming tone nor did either one even say hello and welcome us. I told her my name and that I had a reservation. She looked at her tablet/computer, grabbed two menus and told us to follow her to our seats. She and the other young lady were very dismissive and overall rude to us. When we entered there were no other patrons waiting to be helped, so it wasn't because they were busy. The only thing that saved our experience there was our waitress was amazing (I wish I could remember her name but honestly I was so upset over our initial treatment I didn't remember her name) and very friendly and the food was great. If I had to rate by first impressions, I would give a negative star if possible. First impressions mean a lot. I would give the rest of the service and food 5 stars and recommend to anyone to eat there. I just hope you are treated better when you first arrive than we were.

Caroline was a great server. A smile, friendly, attentive but not too, timing of plating was perfect. Drinks and food was superb. Best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had. Loved the facility renovation. We’ll be back!

My boyfriend and I tried Brewster’s for the first time on our 1 year anniversary. The staff really embraced that and celebrated with us. Recommend sitting outside. The courtyard is beautiful. It actually down poured while we were there, but luckily we were ones that didn’t get soaked and embraced the rain and found it even more romantic. The wait staff acted like the rain didn’t phase them. They were great! Food was tasty, a little pricey, but we found it worth it, especially for a special occasion. We definitely want to go back.

We always enjoy this great restaurant as the host and service staff always welcome us and treat us so well. We love the charcuterie board and the pasta bolognese is super. We had the special for two and it was a great deal, and the first time we had their pizza. It is outstanding. Drinks and wine list are reasonably priced and the newly redecorated restaurant really looks nice. Many thanks for another great time.

Always a treat to go to Brewster’s. Excellent service (Breanna), lovely pasta and salad lunches. Relaxed atmosphere and charming garden setting.

Brewsters normally gets huge rating but not on this night.. Service was just so so. Water with no straws had to ask twice, Appitizer showed up with no plates to use, GF had tri- colored tortellini that was a third tomato chunks and I had a NY Strip that was awesome but small for $39. They also remodeled which is very nice but front door very congested With large check in desk. Drinks were awesome and very tasty!! Food quality was highest rating possible!! We will go back because this is normally 5 stars across the board..just an off night i hope
