We came for the early bird special. The menu was not provided so we had to ask for the special menu. While the waiter was attentive, we got the impression that he was less interested in us when he realized the tip would be less because of the lower bill. Overall we would return and recommend Brentwood.
We enjoyed Restaurant Week with a visit to Brentwood. Three courses for $33 and 2 glasses of wine (Chef’s Choice) for $12. We each ordered different items and enjoyed everything. A couple of notes: the Escargot tasted a little burnt. Our coffee with dessert was old. We mentioned it to our waitress. She said “that’s terrible, had I known I would have made fresh coffee.” You could smell the coffee from a distance. Small things make a huge difference when considering restaurants.
We visited during restaurant week and they were very busy. Once finally seated Lisa took great care of us. Lisa checked back with us several times to make sure we are were happy with all our courses. Great place as always!
It was a great meal, great service. We will be going again in the future.
Overall, disappointing experience. Our waiter had too many tables & forgot to bring my daughter in law's wine. For the price paid, the portions were extremely small (the dessert was a bigger portion than the entree!). Probably will not return.
We went with friends for Restaurant Week. Everything was great - we all enjoyed our meal and the service was great. Loved the ambiance too. And when we arrived we told the hostess we had not been there before and she took the time to give us a tour of the different rooms. We will definitely be back.
The service is outstanding. I was a little disappointed when I arrived and realized they had a limited menu for Restaurant Week but as it turned out, both of our meals were excellent. They also have an extensive wine list which is great when celebrating a special occasion.
The Restaurant Week menu was wider than expected and both our meals were Excellent. The service was equally wonderful. The only thing that was less than perfect was the frequent, loud movement of furniture in the room directly above our dining room. Hopefully, this was an unusual occurrence.
Wonderful dinner with excellent service. A bargain for such a nice dinner.
Kim, Eric and their staff do an amazing job to make you feel welcomed. The Brentwood has become one of our favorite restaurants!
We had a delicious meal. The service was very good! It was a really nice experience.
Went during restaurant week. Food was very good. Service was ok-not great, not terrible, just mediocre. I had short ribs and husband had osso bucco. Would order both again. French onion soup was very good, salad barely had enough lettuce to cover the plate!!
Erik was the best server and made our dining experience amazing.
We dined here during “restaurant week” with a predetermined menu. The wine pairing for some of the courses listed “Napa Cabernet”... but the waitress said they were out! Upon further discussion we found that they had Cabernets, but none of their private label ones they were serving for this menu. So instead of offering a different Cabernet, they offered their Merlot or Pinot noir. But would not accommodate us with a Cabernet! It was not as good as it should have been. The whole idea of restaurant week is to show potential customers what you can do isn’t it?
We were disappointed with the attitude more than with the meal.
They have an upcoming Valentines special menu dinner ... also lists a special Napa Cabernet for one of the entrees... but will you really get it if you go? Ha!
Have eaten at The Brentwood many times and it never disappoints !! Food and service is always excellent ! Highly recommend that if you haven't tried The Brentwood definitely GO !!
We are always comfortable at Brentwood. Excellent service and SC Restaurant Week menu is always enjoyable. Chef's wine selections are wonderful complements to the dinner.
Always very pleased with service and quality of wine and food. They also have a great Happy Hour and Ghost Dinner.
Great place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
Trying to be a French restaurant, but not making it.
We have eaten at the Brentwood many times and the food and ambiance are always excellent! It is a great place for an elegant dining experience.
Food was outstanding 👌 I wished they had a better selection of wines.
it was really loud in the large downstairs dining room, with multiple large parties. The cork walls were lovely but more is needed! Otherwise great food and service. We will return!
Tried this restaurant first time during restaurant week 2020
This place knows how to I introduce first timers and retain them. The food was delicious served and presented professionally. Would recommend for everyone to try I don’t believe you will be disappointed
We will add The Brentwood to our list of fine dining places to go. (Limited places in Myrtle). This is a gem!!
Fantastic dinner from entering to exiting. Great food great service and wonderful environment. Missed the ghost but maybe next time! Food was out of this world ! ♡♡♡♡
Disappointed in food and service. Waiter did not have time for us. Food was ok but just very fair. We all had something different. I was hoping it would be memorable, it was not!
I will give it one more try.
excellent evening. we went for the restaurant week menu and were not disappointed! top notch on everything! the chef also visited our table whitewash a very nice touch of added personal service!
We had an excellent restaurant week meal. A 3 course meal for $32 can't be beat. My wife had the short rib and I had the pork Osso Buco. Both were great. Excellent service.
Wonderful food and service.
Dinner was quite good but salmon dish not as described. Noise level high - Restaurant week pricing quite reasonable
Hayley was our server and she was great, as was all staff members we interacted with. The food was excellent. Overall a Five Star experience!
Lovely restaurant for a special occasion. The server was attentive and ambience was great.
Entire experience was wonderful. Dined here twice previously and never been even slightly disappointed.
Lovely old restored home with a delightful wine list. However, although our server was very good he appeared distracted and unhappy. The food is only average. My husband ordered the filet which was cooked to order but without much flavor. My poached pear and goat cheese salad had one small bite of pear and very little goat cheese. Must say the French onion soup was delicious. Would I give this restaurant another try? Only maybe.
Excellent service from Taylor and Micha! food was delicious. my bulliobase was amazing and my wife loved her lamb chops! well worth the trip from Murrells Inlet and can't wait to return
What a wonderful evening! Everyone we encountered was a delight and the wonderful service really enhanced the meal. Excellent wine selection and the chocolate soufflé was to die for! Can’t wait to go back again.
We had a wonderful experience at the Brentwood. We were seated in a small room with a glowing fireplace and only a few tables. We were a party of five and all had exceptional meals.
Very fine meal...Service poor.. In restaurant fo 2 hours......20+ minutes between main course and desert....
Stone crab not properly cracked.
Have eaten here many times and will continue ....Staff needs some re training.
We recommended this restaurant to the concierge at our hotel as soon as we got back. The trip from myrtle beach was a little tricky but with gps we were there in no time. Coming back seemed even shorter. The food was very tasty and seemed quite authentic French cuisine. My husband had the duck confit, which we have all over the world and he thought it was the best ever. The bouillabaisse did not disappoint. This was really a shot in the dark but was actually a diamond in the rough!
Great place for a special night. French Chef. Warm, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere
