Cooked oysters were amazing!
Brenners was great! The food was good, but the atmosphere was really pretty. Very romantic dinner.
Love this place. Unfortunately the indoor seating did not abide by social distancing protocols.
I really enjoyed myself. It was my husband's birthday and our first time there. We were very pleased with our waiter and how we was so helpful and informative and very knowledgeable of the menu and the bar. From the drinks he made us to the food he recommended was superb. Even the host that sat us down, she was the sweetest and professional. The only thing I was VERY UPSET about, which is not a reflection on the restaurant was valet services. It was raining cats and dogs when we left and they had my window down and the passengers seat and inside of the door was LITERALLY soak and wet. I expressed to the valet worker how upset I was and so did my husband. My husband had to sit in a wet seat all the way home and we live 40 minutes from there. My husband had to ask if they had paper towels to try to get some of the water up. I was very disappointed with that. I would definitely be back and refer others to this restaurant, but I would definitely tell them to park themselves.
One of the BEST places for a romantic dinner...A+ / extremely clean restrooms........
Definitely going back
NICE VIEW, NICE ENVIRONMENT, REALLY TALENTED STAFF, GOOD DAY OUT WITH THE FAMILY.
Service was excellent and food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent all around except for the part where I forgot my wallet and the wife had to pay for her own birthday dinner...
Waiter was amazing. Entree, appetizer, and side dishes amazing. Unfortunately, the creme brulee and raspberry souffle were extremely bland in flavor.
We enjoyed our time but definitely felt like the value was lacking. The food was good but it’s always disappointing when you walk away thinking you could have had just as good of a meal for a lot less money. The atmosphere was lovely though.
Our waitress was great. Guess i just ordered the wrong thing the red snapper had a few bones and was bland. Then the appetizer don't know it should have been hot or cold was cold fried green tomatoes with cocktail shrimp on top. But they did not charge me for the snapper since i was not happy with it
Dadrian and Noel were exceptional servers. Top notch. Probably some of the best fine dining service I’ve ever had while out to eat.
Outstanding service and good service always. Definitely needed after the winter storm. The staff was professional and hospitable.
It was an awesome experience. The foods was excellent. The waitress was was very friendly and professional.
Great Service and quality food. Make sure to get the roasted oysters!
Everything was fantastic! The food, ambiance, and energy at Brenner’s was a perfect getaway after a hectic week!
We celebrated a beautiful anniversary and are so happy we got to spend it at Brenner’s!
Great food and service. Outside view of the bayou is also very nice.
Great food. Terrible Arnold Palmer drink.
Great service, nice atmosphere.
We decided to eat outside after we were seated in a small room with 4 or 5 other tables. There was no social distancing being enforced and being in that small space with other tables (couples) sitting so close made us uncomfortable. We were cold outside but felt safer since there were a lot less people.
Brenner’s on the Bayou is a terrific place to dine. Cozy dining areas, excellent food and great service.
My first time at Brenners. We were seated in a small room...unfortunately, no ambience. We should have insisted to be seated in the protected patio area. It looks much nicer. The lobster bisque was served luke warm with no crackers. The food was okay, but does not justify the high prices.
I went with my husband on Sunday 02-14-2021 to celebrate valentine and his birthday. We went early at 11:15 am for brunch/ early lunch, and I reserved via open table. When I got there, I was surprised that there is no elevator no ram for limited mobility customers, and I had to struggle to get up the high stairs to get to the restaurant. I had a 1 heels which I just wear for an occasion, but I wouldn’t if I know that I have to use stairs. The hostess took us to our « reserved « table which was in a corner closed area , so we asked her to change it to a window view, so we had to use the stairs again! The waiter was super nice, friendly and helpful and she is the only reason that I am giving two stars review, otherwise would be minus one. The Benedict that I ordered was over cooked. When we were done, I was asked to leave the restaurant by the side door ( it was 30 degree outside!), so I don’t have to use the stairs again, but the steps outdoor were actually higher than the actual stairs, and it caused severe pain for me that lasted several days. I don’t believe that a restaurant like this will not have accommodations for limited mobility customers. I thought this is a law that every restaurant has to follow!
Valentine’s dinner was great all around.
Disappointed to sit in the bar for valentines day. Food was OK, nothing special. The oysters were tiny. Waited to long to get my car in the 30 degree temps, and there were 25 more behind us. Fertita has ruined another good restaraunt
Our waiter was very attentive for such a busy night. The tables weren’t social distanced but when we asked to be reseated, we were quickly accommodated. The food was spectacular. The soufflé is amazing!!! My husband and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Date night very much and we’ll definitely be back!
Great seating location, amazing food and great customer service
Valentines
The place is beautiful, it has a cozy cabin feel and amazing views of the garden. Food is excellent.
My wife and had the lobster bisque and dessert because we already had dinner and it was phenomenal. Morgan and Von brought our food out and made us feel special. This was our third time and beat yet!
Where to begin. From getting there and having the first round of drinks spilt on me. Next no one comes and helps is cleaned up I had to ask for napkins and a half and I saw wiping off the table when I say am I really doing this in stock.
I hadn’t ever been to Brenner’s so I was excited to try it for our Valentine’s date.
First of all, it was packed. If you’re trying to be careful with Covid, I wouldn’t go here during a prime dining out timeframe. The tables were quite close together and the bar was completely full. People touching shoulder to shoulder.
Our waiter was really nice, but he was super slow. We ordered a second glass of wine before getting our meal and still hadn’t been brought the wine by the time we were finished.
On multiple occasions, we had food brought to us that wasn’t ours. It was so disorganized.
I personally want to give them the benefit of the doubt with Covid and how hard it must be to manage all the expectations.
We’ll give it another shot but not for quite some time.
a completely wonderful dinning experience. Beautiful atmosphere and Great service. It a very romantic place to eat. Can't wait to go again. You can't go wrong with dining indoors out out. Spectacular views. It was a very comfortable experience. Even the valet service was top notch. It was a very cold night and our valet fellow went and got our vehicle right away.
The food here is great, and for the quality of restaurant it is the prices are quite reasonable. Cocktails were on point and well done. I love the venue itself and the pre dinner drink on the deck was a really nice start to the evening.
It has Good atmosphere, server did not want to be there.
Overall wonderful experience. The fire pits in bar were perfect ending. Alexis was great. Will definitely recommend.
Please choose a different table bread. Overall the food was delicious, but that sourdough bread cut up in little pieces was disgusting. The restaurant was to nice and expensive to serve that kind of starter food! Hopefully this message makes it to the top and hopefully you all make a better bread selection!
Brenner’s was a top quality restaurant in Houston. It certainly ranks among the best, though I have had better meals for a more moderate price. A few elements of our meal were slightly off. The quail was just slightly burnt and the soufflé was slightly over baked. However, our steaks were outstanding and the side dishes were expertly prepared. Service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect. Overall, we had an outstanding time. I would recommend this restaurant to someone, though perhaps among other top quality restaurants to someone looking for a very nice evening.
Great food and ambience! Perfect spot to celebrate special occasions. HIGHLY recommended!
Service wasn’t spectacular. Ran out of drinks more than once and our overall dining experience took almost 2 hours. There was a long wait between Appetizers and Dinner. The steaks were okay. Definitely not the best we’ve had. All sides were delicious.
For somewhere that enforces a dress code, we were expecting closer to fine dining. The football was playing on the TVs and it had more of a steakhouse/sportsbar feel. Not what we were expecting at all.
