   My husband & I recently celebrated our 31st anniversary at Brave New Restaurant (BNR). The scallops (from Massachusetts!) were sublime & the deck seating by the Arkansas River provided the perfect backdrop for our date 😊 We’ll definitely go back for future celebrations & delicious meals 🍽️

   Had heard good things about Brave New so expectations were very high. We’ve been in central Arkansas for a year and have spent the last 10 months searching for a really great restaurant…we are still searching! The service staff is really attentive and good but the food didn’t meet our expectations, especially for the price. There were four in our party and all chose a different entree. We all came away thinking our meals were ok but definitely not to the level we were expecting.

   Probably top dinner I have ever had in the state of Arkansas. Every single item we ordered was top notch and full of flavor. We ordered the specials: Walleye and Tuna-both phenomenal. Will return and bring friends!

   Wow! Arriving at the Brave New Restaurant is a magical experience. Like making your way through hidden passageways into a hip prohibition-era speakeasy, you park at an office building, take an elevator up to an ordinary hallway, and when you get half way to the end of it, you begin to hear and smell what will completely mesmerize you when you turn the corner at the end of the hallway, a beautiful view of the river behind a perfectly appointed dining room. And the food. Wow! The chef is amazing. I'm speechless. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Little Rock, but I know I will remember this rare experience of someone's passion.

   We had a great experience. We started with the Louisiana half shell oysters. I had the avocado shrimp appetizer, loved the presentation. The mix of avocado and shrimp with a light dressing was perfect. The mixed grill was enjoyed by my husband. I had the special hole fish with a lovely butter sauce. The fish was cooked exactly the way I like it, melt in your mouth. We shared the butterscotch ice cream! Overall, great service by Ryan. Plus, the owner/manager was greeting clientele and asked if we enjoyed our dinner. Absolutely!

    Food is always consistently good. The pork tenderloin was outstanding, though the brussell sprouts were overcooked. Would love them to get a bigger local or regional beer list.

    Eating at Brave is always a fun experience. We enjoy talking to Peter when he makes his rounds at the tables. We like the unique offerings and the atmosphere. This time, we ate out on the deck with a great view of the river and it was lovely. The wine list is very good.

    Everything was so fresh. Salmon and Walleye were fantastic.. made to perfection! The fresh baked ciabatta bread was addictive, and the grilled peaches were a refreshing surprise on the salad! Enjoyed the outdoor deck seating, so nice to watch the lovely birds while we dined.

    The outdoor seating at Brave New Restaurant is one of the best in LR. The only traffic noise is that of a barge floating down the river. The view is beautiful and the seating is very comfortable. On our most recent visit we had a larger group so we were seated at the end of the outdoor space with a nice distance from other diners providing our party with privacy. The food, wine and service were excellent as always. Our family has celebrated many special occasions at Brave New over the years. The use of local produce, quality food, beautiful presentation and professional servers are just a few of the things we appreciate here and will keep us coming back.

    We have always enjoyed our experiences at Brave New but last night was exceptional. I ordered the Chicken Risotto, a relatively new item on the menu, and it was love at first bite! What an incredible addition to the menu!

    Best restaurant in the area for consistently high quality food and service. Great location looking out over the Arkansas RIver. The location is somewhat difficult to find on your first visit, even with GPS, but well worth the effort. BNR is a high-end restaurant and we generally eat there on special occasions. We are more than willing to pay the price for exceptional food and service. If you are fortunate to have nice weather and can be seated on the outside deck, it makes the experience even more special.

    Great ambiance. Service started out friendly and efficient. However, something happened with our food order and instead of letting us know, the waitress started avoiding our table. We waited an hour for our food and ended up being there two hours and 30 minutes total.

    Celebrating a significant anniversary my husband & I chose Brave New Restaurant. I had an unusual but very delicious scallop and strawberry salad accompanied by a tasty tomato basil soup & Brave New’s outstanding bread. Knowing my fondness for sweets, my husband requested a dessert tray-one of each of their desserts including their homemade ice creams. If you’ve ever been to that restaurant, you know they do not have a dessert cart or dessert tray. However, our attentive server went way out of her way to assemble a beautiful tray of desserts Of course the chocolate crème brûlée was to die for (my fav), closely following by the rack of 6 tiny ice cream cones, one in each their flavors.     I would not order a steak again. It was tough and gristly and had very little flavor. I was very disappointed. Also did not care for the salad. Would much rather have a Caesar salad. I've always loved my meals here, but it's not the place to order a steak.

    Service was outstanding! Some menu items and wine selections were limited, but the suggested replacements were excellent. Enjoyed the mixed grill. The duck sausage is spiced with anise and very good. Would absolutely recommend Brave New. Can't wait for my next visit!
