Great service by Maurice
Great experience!!
Absolutely perfect in every way! I can’t wait to return for my birthday.
We had a wonderful experience! Our waiter Ray was so great! Told us a lot about the restaurant, menu, was great with recommendations as he listened to our wants for the evening. Everything was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back again for another date night.
Amazing food, amazing experience! Yvette was our impeccable server. Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend, the flavors were spot on. I had the Branzino, my husband had Filet mignon. We had the crab & salt cod appetizer (had to ask for more crostini) as it was a generous portion. Then we had the pear dessert. Everything was so fabulous!
Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is so good! So happy to have another great restaurant at the Pearl, love the guys that opened this spot just like Southerleigh. The French onion soup is top notch and the lobster bisque with puff pastry is one of the best! I had the lobster for dinner a few weeks back and it was fabulous, cooked perfectly! I plan to try the rotisserie chicken next, it looks wonderful. Georgia is an awesome server and hope to visit with her again next time! Check it out you, will not be disappointed.
We came to the restaurant relatively late (8:45) on a Wednesday night. The place was still full and, in fact, a bit loud. Since seating is kind of spread out due to COVID, I can only imagine how full and loud it can get at full capacity. The interior and ambience were nice but the floor tiles and couch seating along the wall evoked “the best” of diners or NYC restaurants.
Fortunately, everything else was top notch. The service was on the point, attentive but not intrusive; knowledgeable too. The food was excellent: both creative and tasty. From the appetizers I’d recommend the raclette sandwich - it’s a bit heavy but oh so good. For main courses we had the duck confit and the rabbit in mustard sauce. Both were amazing and I cannot pick a favorite. A bit of bummer that the default side for the duck is fries but you can ask to replace. For the dessert we had the crem brûlée which was tasty but unfortunately appeared refrigerated.
As a French restaurant the wine list is extensive and can cater to every taste. We had a very good French cab but there is also plenty of domestics. The dessert port was amazing too.
Definitely worth visiting / coming back but beware of crowds. Reservations are not only recommended but pretty much mandatory and need to be done several days in advance.
Absolute best experience, food and service!
Great decor! Good service! Good wine selection! Appetizers were great. The steak frites was superb! The green beans were so flavorful. Desert was superb. Staff was extremely responsive to our requests. Will come again very often. Thanks.
Great food, the service needs some help. Hopefully it gets better
I think the service was excellent from the host, to the Bar, our awesome server and the chef and manager checking in with us. The food was excellent and I will definitely endeavor to make it back soon.
My second visit to this incredible jewel of a restaurant… Only one word suffices:magnifique !
The noise level has been very good because I haven’t been able to get a reservation before 6 o’clock because it is so popular and so extremely crowded —-although socially distanced tables are appreciated!
Brasserie Mon Chou Chou is a true San Antonio gem. The place, ambience and food make you feel in the backstreets of Blvd. St. Germain. Simply wonderful, keep up the good service!
Lovely spot! Felt very festive and fun! Great service and ambiance - we will be back!
Was a exquisite experience, from the moment we walked in to the food to every single service that was provided was exceptional. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would love to experience quality service. This establishment represents fine dining!
Excellent food, wanted to try other items but couldn’t find room.
The food was excellent; the service was exceptional and we can’t wait to go again!
Sat outside. Even though it was a cool night they had heaters and it was enough with a sweater on. They are reservation only, so the crowd was controlled and it didn't seem like too many people. We chose to sit outside just to be more cautious but the inside tables were spaced out too. The food was delicious and the wine selection was good. Would definitely go back.
Excellent experience can’t wait to return! Filet and escargot were outstanding. Impressive dessert menu
Brasserie Mon Chou Chou was everything we hoped it to be. Our server, Flora, was on point with all of her recommendations. We tried the raclet, lobster bisque, Mediterranean Sea bass and steak filet. Everything was perfect! The tables are spread far apart and wait staff all have masks and gloves. Make a reservation today. You will not regret it.
We started with the onion soup and the lobster bisque; both good -- the onion soup was better. Then I had the bouillabaisse and my dining companion had the coq au vin. I had two pieces of fish -- very good. 3 clam shells and 2 clams. Two head on shrimp (I guess -- I couldn't find anything to eat in the shells.) and two shrimp. The broth was tasty -- but it was awfully expensive for not very much food. My companion's chicken was good. If we go again we'll both have the steak. The wines by the glass were very good.
Loved the food and ambiance! Can’t wait to go again!
The food is phenomenal and the service was exceptional! Thank you Flora for your attentive service and warm demeanor throughout our experience!!!! This is hands down the place to eat in San Antonio, TX 2021.... Must try for everyone!!!

Server polished and polite. Very good at taking care of ua.
Yummy menu, great atmosphere. Service spot on! Will be back soon.
Nice little place for a date because of the ambience but food wise, I have tasted better French Cuisine. Portions are a bit small. It wasn't for me but it may be for somebody else.
We pleased and really enjoyable
Delicious meal and very attentive service
I can not wait to return
Our first time, ordered a mixed bread basket and 3 cheese plate for appetizer and our waiter was nice enough to add a few things. I had duck ,delicious with REAL French fries. Salad wasn't much, just a few drops of dressing and $16. Others had branzino fish, rabbit and co co mon chicken in ren wine, all wonderful.
A bit disappointed with the Chef'S decision to pair french fries as the side for Duck Confit...other than that, everything is good 👍
Very enjoyable experience--excellent food, service and atmosphere. Appreciated that the restaurant was not excessively noisy and had good ambient music.
Amazing place to eat! Angela was very knowledgeable! Will definitely come back!’
La comida es muy buena y abundante, excelente relación calidad precio, el restaurante está muy bien ambientado y el servicio es bastante bueno, sin duda volveré una y otra vez a probar más
On the whole, dinner at Brasserie Mon Chou Chou was a delight! The raclette appetizer was divine and the rabbit and duck dishes were very good. Our one disappointment was the Salade Lyonnaise, which we were comparing to the one we had a few years ago at Au Lyonnais in Paris, which is owned by celebrity chef Alain Ducasse. That particular salad was topped with miniature poached quail eggs and had a fabulous tangy dijon dressing. In contrast, we could barely taste any dressing on the Mon Chou Chou salad. Our disappointment disappeared, however, with one bite of the fabulous Valhrona chocolate cake with a decadent bittersweet molten filling. The service and ambience were excellent, and we loved the atsmospheric music. Definitely a place we plan to return to!
We absolutely loved our dinner! Delicious food, excellent service and romantic ambiance! Loved the music playing throughout our meal.
Fabulous. Great ambiance. Menu Highlights: escargot, mushroom tart (my favorite!) and the duck. The frites are worth the drive by themselves. We were all very pleased with our choices. We all agreed that creme brûlée was a little eggy and grainy, but all-in-all a fantastic experience! Will definitely return.
Food and service was superb! The experience was excellent. Such a great addition to SA, actually felt like I was dining in another city...
Cocktails were very well crafted. Started with COQUILLAGES À LA NORMANDE with scallops and mussels. Pro tip, order bread for the garlic cream sauce and thank us later😄
Hard to decide on an entree with so many delicious options, but we settled on CONFIT DE CANARD AU POIVRE VERT and LAPIN À LA MOUTARDE AVEC TAGLIATELLES. The Somm recommended a fantastic wine that paired really well with both our dishes.
Make sure to leave room for dessert bc the POIRE AU VIN is well worth it.
Loved everything about this place and can’t wait to go back🤤
Where do I begin??? Everything was delicious. The burger—WOW!! We still talk about the burger. The layers of flavor!! The Bisque—the pastry was so flakey and buttery. The Duck Confit practically fell off of the bone and was so tasty. Again, all of the food was wonderful. And the service!! Samuel was super attentive, friendly, and helpful. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Food was absolutely delicious and moderately priced. Service was perfect I will definitely be coming back!
The ambience and service was fantastic. The food was really good, but a bit pricey. I think it was worth the money paid. We had two Stella Artois on draft, the raclette, lobster bisque, steak tartar and a slice of cheesecake and we were stuffed! We will definitely go back!
