Friendly and attentive service! Good quality food...in a nice cosy environment! Would recommend it ;)
Superb meal and service. Love this place, always a great atmosphere and lovely service
The service was extremely good, the staff were friendly & very attentive .
The food was excellent and good value.
The location was perfect.
Perfect pre-theatre meal. The set menu is excellent value with a good selection which both my daughter and I enjoyed. The Chicken Schnitzel I had was especially good and my daughter particularly liked the Lemon Tart. Everything was delivered promptly so we were able to enjoy a 3 course meal in less than 90 minutes and get to our show on time.
Love the atmosphere at Brasserie Max and hope to return again sometime soon.
We had a lovely tea for four. Enjoyed the service, the setting and the food. Would definitely return for tea at Brasserie Max -- Covent Garden or for another meal!
unfortunately they seemed to be too busy and were unable to serve us two courses despite having a pre arranged pre theatre booking for 5.45 we were still waiting on our second course at 7.10 and had to cancel it in order to be in Theatre by 7.30. Our waitress explained it was because their " special pre theatre menu`s" had been so successful!!! Which is kind of ironic!
Very good service and food
Good value meal in nice ambience situated near seven dials. Good service and price very good. We had to ask to see set menu which included glass of wine for 3 courses and was excellent standard. I would recommend this restaurant .
Very nice food and drinks
Excellent location and good value for money. Atmosphere was busy and bustling and vibrant which is what we enjoyed for a girls night out in London! Lovely attentive staff, very friendly. Service slick and yet unobtrusive!! Really enjoyed evening here!! Would recommend and come again.
Unfortunately sat next to a very noisy table, which spoilt the ambiance as we could barely hear ourselves speak. Shame as beautiful place.
Amazing food but the wine was overpriced.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Had a lovely time. Food was delicious and waiters were fast, friendly and attentive. Drinks are pretty pricey with £15+ for a glass of wine.
Amazing ambience, food was perfect, george our waiter was very approachable and just good fun! Best restaurant I’ve been to for a long time.
Great coffee and breakfast
Great place for a business meeting and service excellent
Sunday lunch in between theartre shows.
It was not busy for a Sunday afternoon, which made a perfect setting for afternoon lunch with my partner.
From arrivind through to departing, the staff were professional and genuinely welcoming and not over the top, leaving us to enjoy our meal in peace.
The menu, although limited, produced some fantastic food. My partner settled for the lamb which was not fatty and melted in your mouth. I ordered the duck breast medium rare which was cooked beautifully.
The sides that we ordered complimented the mains and were not swimming in butter or oil.
We ordered the Argentinian Malbec, (Although I am no wine connoisseur I do enjoy a glass of red) while it accompanied the dishes beautifully, I can not recommend on its own.
Overall the whole experience was wonderful and we would return.
Bit noisy in bar for pre dinner drinjs; this improved once the pre theatre crowd had left and we were seated at our table which was very well situated with plenty of room around it.
Took my mum here before the theatre. The pre theatre menu is very good value but the food was pretty average and a little bland. The staff were lovely and the restaurant is beautiful.
Lovely pre theatre dinner! Had the 3 course set menu and glass of wine deal for £25, every course was delicious and good choice on the menu
Brilliant food and excellent service
Bit expensive but very enjoyable
everything is perfect
Absolutely superb, service was excellent
Went for breakfast on a Sunday. Service was slow, although everyone was very polite and friendly. The food was fine but ridiculously expensive for what it was. One plate came with 1 rasher of bacon while the others came with two. Wasn’t consistent and was just a fine breakfast - certainly not worth the charge.
A big thank you to the full team at Brasserie Max for the thoughtful arrangement of my mum’s lovely birthday surprise. We had a wonderful family celebration this afternoon, and shall return again very soon.
We had a brilliant pre theatre dinner on a Friday night. The food from the 3 course set menu was delicious and all good portion sizes. It was our anniversary and we received a complimentary glass of champagne which was a lovely extra. I’d definitely return to Brasserie Max.
Booked the 5* Covent Garden Hotel restaurant for a birthday lunch - just the two of us. The service was excellent, friendly, un-rushed and professional with "specials" explained. We had a nice table at the window and had no qualms about paying the service charge. The restaurant was busy but not too noisy and seemed to have a mix of hotel residents, business customers, families and girlfriends having an afternoon tea. We ordered from the A la carte menu. They do set meals too. A starter of lobster and crab linguini was a bit expensive but very tasty, as was the boar pappardelle. Lamb shank with cheddar mash was very good as a mains but, and this was disappointing, the monk fish wrapped in Parma ham was dry and far too salty. One dessert between two of us. A nice touch was a complementary cake/candle at the end on a chocolate decorated plate. We thought it was a bit expensive ( lobster/crab linguini was £23 as a starter) but we knew it would be when we booked it because we had already seen the menu online. With a couple of beers it came to £120 including service. Now, this is not bad considering the excellent service and it is in the heart of the West End - and it is much cheaper than both Claridges and The Savoy for lunch; which have a bit more panache - but you certainly pay more for . Absolutely nothing wrong with The Brasserie and if you are in the area we would recommend it.
We really enjoyed our evening at brasserie Max – the service was exceptionally good. The food was also really tasty. The only quibble I have is that the set menu is good value but any extras are expensive. For example £8.99 for a rocket and parmesan salad - which was actually quite small. So be prepared!
We always eat here when we are in London. Just love it can’t find anything to complain about. It’s all so good
Quality food in Central London - worth the experience!
Service is deficient
Wine references very limited
We had dinner here for my sisters birthday. Before dinner we went to the Theatre to watch Thriller Live. The restaurant is a 5 min drive from the Lyric Theatre or a 10 min walk, very good location and less than 5 mins walk from Covent Garden tube station. The restaurant is beautiful inside, lovely for an intimate meal for two or afternoon tea or a meal with the ladies or with family. The service was lovely, we were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the food was lovely, staff were friendly and the ambiance was relaxed but formal. When it was time to leave, our coats were brought to us from the clock room and a lovely member of staff even held it whilst I put it on, very chivalrous. The only let down was the pudding, I ordered a chocolate fondant but it wasn’t soft in the middle and we were left to eat it as if that was how it was supposed to be. On the whole an excellent experience, will definitely visit again.
Amazing eclectic interior in bistro, great friendly service, ambience and atmosphere. Wasn’t too busy when we went but recommend to Book table In case which is easily done online. Food and cocktails were really great and no issues at all but we loved polpo more as it was more our style. Taking nothing away from this place though. Would highly recommend for dinner or drinks at the bar. Never had the chance to have lunch there but assume it would be terrific. thanks for a great evening.
We love Firmdale hotels so decided to try Brasserie Max for breakfast. Usual lovely setting and good quality food. The breakfast buffet was of the usual high standard.
Thank you great experience food was small but enough as it was a three course meal!
Very good and smooth service
Excellent service. Food good or average. Pasta with boar was overcooked and, consequently too dry.
The atmosphere is very cosy! the menu offers delicious plate. On Sunday, the traditional "roast" is on the menu. The service is friendly and professional.
We were met with a very warm welcome, excellent friendly service throughout.
The food was fantastic and the portion sizes perfect.
There was nothing we did not like about our visit and would highly recommend.
Excellent relaxed atmosphere
Expected a great service but was disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm by the staff apart from the main host who was the manner of the restaurant.
Ontbijt. Was goed, wel prijzig maar zeer mooie sfeer
