   We've returned to Brassie L'Ecole many times over the years, and it remains one of Victoria's most superb dining experiences. The quality and attention to detail is evident in every bite, and we look forward to many future visits!

   We reserved here last minute and took bar seating but when we arrived we were able to get a table. We had a very nice cocktail before dinner. Would recommend the French 75 or Boulevardier. My appie was the chicken liver mousse with apple slices and endive as I am gluten free. Was delicious. The French onion soup was a meal in itself. Maybe too heavy on the bread and cheese. I had the trout which was well prepared and nicely done. My husband enjoyed the Bavette and we shared an ample order of French fries. Was a nice venue and would recommend.

   This was the first time we've been since re-opening and we went with friends. Loved that we could make a reservation! Amie was our server and what a pro! Def recommend you sit in her section. The french onion soup was excellent as was the country pate; the warm olives - not so much according to our friend. The gnocchi was a huge hit - creamy and flavourful. We will be going back just for that. The strip loin steak was cooked to perfection and freshly grated horseradish was available on request. Our only disappointment was the beef short rib - way, way too salty! Although the meat was tender any part of it, or the rest of the plate that was in the jus was simply inedible. We had drinks and desserts - all great. My only wish there was that there was more than one non-alcoholic wine available. A red would be nice to pair with the beef.

   We had such a wonderful time, we came back again the following week. Every dish was delicious -- you know where you find yourself still thinking about it days later -- and the service is so friendly (but still absolutely professional & attentive).

   Definitely some of the best french food I've had since moving from Montreal, highly recommend the tartar, the halibut, and the gnocchi and the burger!! Everything beat expectations.

   A bit disappointed with our dining experience last night. The service was very slow, we waited and hour for our main dish which we’ve never had to do at this particular restaurant before. My friend had some serious allergy requests when ordering and they brought out food that she could not eat and had to remake part of it. It was extremely loud in the room and felt chaotic. The food was so/so.

    It had been sometime since we had been at Brasserie but it was great to be back. The service and food was at the high standard we have always appreciated.
