One meal was really good the other was kinda bad. They were unexpectedly busy so they were short staffed and it was a bit slow. I will go back hopefully at a time when the service is a little better.
We visited Brasserie du Parc on the day before Valentine’s Day. My wife and I both ordered the French Onion Soup and I ordered the fish of the day, the Chilean Sea Bass. I felt that the French Onion Soup tasted like it was old and just thawed out. The fish of the day was fishy smelling on presentation which made me think that it wasn’t so fresh. Overall, it made me think that the restaurant should not have their full menu if they were focusing on Valentine’s Day pre-fixe. Additionally, champagne cocktail had to be sent back because champagne was flat and had to ask for napkins when we sat down. Generally think that the food and service was mediocre on this day. Maybe the quality is better when they don’t need to focus on the Valentine’s Day rush.
Great ambiance and food. Loved the staff! A must try out if you are @ Houston
Fabulous good and service. Truly exceptional.
Amazing food. A true gem.
Lovely staff and deliciously prepared cuisine. Sommelier was helpful and the service was timely.
The atmosphere and ambience was perfect for a Roman birthday dinner! All of our food was delicious, the short ribs were cooked perfectly! The waitstaff was very attentive but also gave us time to ourselves!
Sat at the bar. Food was good. Steak was a little over cooked for being medium.
Excellent as always. Went Friday January 15 at 6:30. Place was pretty much empty. Tried the escargot! Wow, simply the best although you may have to ask for more bread for dipping. Also had Risotto Shrimp dish. Again, made to excellence. A little disappointed with one request. Asked waiter if we could personally thank chef and chef declined. This has never happened to me at a restaurant. It was a very slow night so thought he would come out. I saw as the waiter asked, and also saw the chef decline. Only downer in a great night.
Very nice service, and food was excellent. Very pretty restaurant, and fun to see the bustle of the city through the big windows!
Brassier Du Parc is a wonderful restaurant. The food is excellent, service is outstanding and the atmosphere is quiet/romantic. Great view looking onto Discovery Green Park.
All food except the steaks too chewy and rough. The drinks could be better. Otherwidse great food
We had snails and soup as starters and they both were excellent. The main courses we had a pork crepe and a grilled salmon both we very good. The service was good and Paul in the bar is always so friendly and we send on our congratulations to him for achieving to get his Mixology License. We have been here a few times before and we intend to go back many more.
I loved it. The food was good and prices reasonable. Great location downtown.
Exceptional French restaurant in downtown Houston! We had the three course Christmas Eve meal. Each course we ordered was both delicious and visually appetizing. The cocktails (Old fashioned and ?spicy mule) were very good. I will definitely go back again.
Top notch restaurant in Houston. One of the best French restaurants in town. Outstanding in every way. Great location for a walk in the park afterwards. Just, simply perfect. Outstanding Management - made everything right. Can't wait to come back.
Always a great place to go for lunch or dinner. Even with the short version of the menu during Covid the food is always great!
The place is across Discovery Green Park, and we went on a Sunday so it was a noisy as Downtown was very energetic that night. The food was pretty good! We ordered escargots for appetizers, and it was my first time trying this French delicacy and it was also pretty good. Do I recommend this place? If you are super hungry, I don't because the food portion is fair. But if you are looking for authentic good French food, I highly recommend.
If you are looking for a Parisien brasserie experience, Brasserie du Parc comes close to it. The menu is brasserie fare, so don't expect fusion type of food, but expect same pomme frites as in France. Service level is good, not fast, but not slow as in France.
The restaurant is located in a walking area in the city (not many of them) so you will get that French atmosphere. We sat at the covered patio area and the tables were distanced very well; we did not feel apprehensive sitting there. The noise level was very low even though most tables were occupied.
I see the restaurant as a neighborhood restaurant where you have a place to go every weekend to dine with your family, and I feel the menu is priced accordingly. We will continue visiting Brasserie du Parc for that neighborhood Parisien bistro experience.
Food was delicious - the manager (sorry i didn't catch his name ) and lucas were both amazing and made the experience unforgettable. the next time i'm in town i will definitely go back!
Best Foie Gras in Houston hands down. Excellent service, most other French restaurants need to experience dining at Brasserie du Parc and take notes.
We will be back ... it was a fabulous meal ... hats off to the chef ! Outstanding
My husband and I decided to try their Thanksgiving dinner ($42 each). I had the traditional turkey dinner, and he had the salmon. We were served cold French bread with whipped butter which was followed by my butternut squash soup and his salad, both which were very good. My turkey dinner with gravy, green beans and dressing was quite good. The turkey was very moist and easy to eat. However, the chef clearly does not know what dressing is. What I got were little unseasoned bread cubes that were more like croutons than anything else. My husband's salmon came with a special sauce that was very good. For dessert we chose the chocolate pecan tart a la mode. It was wonderful! Overall, a great experience! I just hope they learn what dressing is before the next Thanksgiving!
One of the best restaurants that I've ever been to. I cannot wait to take others here, it was so wonderful. The filet was absolutely perfect, and I cannot get over how delicious the french onion soup was - highly recommend.
Everything was great.
Great restaurant
Good menu of French classics, well-prepared and fairly priced. Wine list had nice variety, both by the glass and by the bottle. Also fairly priced. Service was attentive. Crowd was modest on a Wednesday night, but weekends presumably busier. We look forward to our next visit.
Tony and Mylan were absolutely perfect hosts. Tony provided fantastic insight on our champagne choice and new style of glass. Mylan is sweet and offered great recommendations.
As French persons, we can say that this was the best French restaurant we had in the US!
Great location, great service, good food options, and a good meal
Great meal - great setting. Convenient to all downtown venues.
We celebrated my birthday and had such an amazing time! The ambiance and the view is very nice and the food was so great! We had the escargot and foie gras, as well as the filet and ended with the banana and nutella crepe --- yummy! We are definitely going back!
We are fans of Etoile, the main restaurant at Uptown Park. but unfortunately the same service and ambiance is not here at Brasserie Du Parc. Our waitress was very disinterested and not attentive to our needs at all. Wine isn’t consistent with what is on the wine menu. The ambiance is non existent, it felt very cold and blah and does not portray the atmosphere a French Bistro should have. Thankfully our food was good, otherwise the whole evening would have been ruined.
service was fine. food was good- chef came out and "mansplained " about the temperatures of meat when I sent back a tough overcooked piece. Would have been an otherwise nice experience- I can see why they are empty when people act like this
The food was mediocre. Onion soup was salty and not prepared with traditional gruyere. The entrecôte was tough. The bernaise sauce needed more egg yolks and tarragon. It had a hint of horseradish. The truffle grits were good. Service was OK. The fact that they charge for 2+ refills of soda or ice tea is annoying for a high end restaurant. If you want authentic French food skip this one
Wonderful service, real french menu. Everything was delicious.
La Creperie du Parc only offers sweet pancakes: a little disappointing, it seems to me that they had savory pancakes also a while ago.
Beautiful visual and sound atmosphere, impeccable service and pampering.
For a French, the dishes are good: however too salty for my taste.
I tested the snails: perfect!
In summary: a good place to eat French with a view of Discovery Green
happy to see the neighborhood restaurant returning. service and food were both great.
Ate on a recent Friday evening. It was our 4th time here. Dining room half full and service was great. Salmon and ravioli were fab. Wine list is good.
