We booked this restaurant to celebrate a birthday (and indicated this in the booking notes). Upon arrival, the host appeared disheveled and frantic. We were seated and only given 1 children’s menu (despite having 2 children in the party) and then proceeded to be ignored for over 15 minutes. In this time, 1 server repeatedly walked past and commented how stressed she was and that she felt like she should [unalive] herself. Her constant negativity and unprofessional remarks really should have been the clue that we should leave- however, this restaurant had such high reviews, we stayed. Eventually another server approached and took our order- but did alert us that due to their staffing shortages, it could be a lengthy wait for drinks especially (1 soda, 1 juice, 1 cocktail). Within a few minutes of ordering, 1 child’s meal was delivered. Everything else was in fact a very lengthy wait. The chateaubriand that was meant to be a birthday treat was flavorless. The meat was not seasoned or tender and the accompanying sauce lacked any resemblance to peppercorn sauce- I even wondered if it was mayonnaise based- it was that bad. Again, due to the celebratory reason for dining out, we had to order dessert. Choosing the signature pistachio souffle seemed like a wise choice- it was overtaken by a cocoa powder dusting in the ramekin, resulting in no trace of pistachios at all. Other patrons were queuing behind us to pay their own bills because service was so slow and the frantic waitress constantly remarked how they were short-staffed and needed patience. She even frequently turned away diners that walked in without a reservation stating that they would have a terrible experience given the situation. There was zero consolation given to us diners having to endure the awful vibe and service. The food was definitely not anything we would return for either. Absolutely awful from start to finish.

The Irish maître d'hôtel was amazing and made us feel so comfortable (my mother isz 85 and he changed out table so we were not near the door). The food and wine was of a very high standard and all the staff could not do enough for us.

Lovely lunch with attentive waiter who helped make our experience really nice. We had out of town guests with us and they really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Food was lovely but there was some confusion over the bill where the staff added the steak night deal when we had just ordered two steaks, after we had finished dining and paid the bill a waitress brought over a selection of dips and then tried to tell us we had drank a bottle of red wine that we had not, with a second waiter then telling us the bottle of red wine was on the side for us, again we had not ordered or wanted this. It felt a bit gaslighty and put a downer on an otherwise pleasant evening.

We visited here Friday 4pm. Lunch time service is up to 6pm and it's reasonable, authentic and tasty. It's also including a glass of gin&tonic. Large comfortable space, facing to River Thames, very stylish and romantic.

Lovely spot on the river , restaurant is bright and spacious even on a very dull day . One of the dog friendly places which was most appreciated by our restaurant loving Cockapoo. I had driven all the way down from Cheshire to meet my son who lives in London so a welcoming place to meet was essential . Food when it arrived was very good , we can highly recommend the Duck . There was a bit of a wait but the staff took the service charge off our bill without us even mentioning the wait as they felt it had been too long . Great recognition by them , Would highly recommend a visit here .

Excellent food ! The soufflé cheese starter and pistachio soufflé were excellent ! Very impressed. I also had cod as a main which was delicious. Great location great ambiance and will definitely go again ! Thank you Btw cosmopolitan was yum ! Perfect

A very nice place to come for a meal. The staff are lovely and the surroundings very comfortable. dWe have been twice now and enjoyed both visits. The souffle desert deserves a special mention YUM. I am sure we will be back.
