Food was very good and the price was appropriate for the quality. No complaints about a single thing aside from the service. Our server was not the best. She routinely skipped over our table and served the table in front of us first despite us having been sat 5 minutes prior. The staff is quite pleasant, but they were a tad aloof for my liking. I still give this restaurant 4 stars but diners should know about a somewhat lackluster wait staff.

Met family from out of town for Sunday brunch and had a beautiful reunion. Our orders were served together; we didn’t have to wait for anyone’s plate to be served. The meals were well presented and, for the most part, met expectations. My daughter, however, ordered the burger and was unimpressed. She said it seemed like a ‘cooked from frozen’ patty. “It wasn’t bad but I expected better, fresher,” she said. No one ordered dessert but two of us had hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, chocolate and a cookie. It was a tasty treat! This is my second visit to Brasserie 701 and I’ll definitely go back again. It is elegant and sophisticated but not at all pretentious. We were quite comfortable and never rushed; we leisurely enjoyed our brunch. And the restaurant’s location is perfect to walk off the extra calories in the Old Port. Mille mercis Brasserie 701 and best wishes for continued success.

Belle expérience, nourriture excellente de l'entrée au dessert. C'est assez bruyant, mais cela est normal, c'est la grosse période de vacances, il y a bcp de monde. Vivement recommandé!

The experience was very underwhelming for a high end French restaurant. The food was just ok. Some of the flavors in our dishes did not make sense. My friend ordered the sea bass: Sea Bass Fillet Seared sea bass, braised leeks and sautéed spinach, lime pea purée, buttered peas, marinated radishes The lime pea purée and braised leaks did not taste good and the presentation was lacking. It looked like a piece of fish with baby food on top. Not worth $39. I love duck and I usually order duck when I go to a French restaurant. I ordered the Duck L’orange Duck Breast à l'Orange Roasted duck breast, carrot and orange purée, julienned apples, date compote, braised carrots, star anis, dill and duck jus The carrot and orange purée and the dill did not taste good. Leave traditional dishes alone please. Definitely not worth $42. The service was inconsistent. Our server was nice but a bit hot and cold. Overall the experience was underwhelming and not worth the price we paid.

Nice setting and overall good service. All dinners were lacking. Flank steak was very fatty, and lamb chops were tasteless. Wine list was somewhat limited for white wines, particularly in the under $100 per bottle range.

Three friends and I had an absolutely wonderful brunch at Brasserie 701 in Old Montréal. We had made a reservation in advance, which was a good idea, although the restaurant wasn’t overly busy—likely due to the heat wave, which actually made things feel even more relaxed and enjoyable. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Old Montréal, making it an ideal starting point for a day of exploring. Most of us ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious: perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. All in all, it was a 10/10 brunch experience. I highly recommend Brasserie 701 to anyone looking for a great meal in a beautiful setting with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

The Onion Soup was outstanding, even on a 95 degree day just had to try it. Plenty to pick from on the Wine List, and the Maitake Mushroom dish was amazing. Great spot!

Sonia fut serviable, dynamique et professionnelle. Elle a vraiment su rendre notre expérience mémorable pour un déjeuner dans le cadre d’un bachelorette. Nourriture excellente et bon rapport qualité/prix pour l’emplacement. Merci encore!
