The tenderloin is amazing. We had it twice during our visit to Carbondale. Server Amanda is very friendly. Also loved the maple cake. Beautiful place, fun music. Really added to our trip.
We have eaten here several times both for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed everything. The service is warm and wonderful! Will definitely be back for more
I really liked this place. The vibe is low-key and friendly. Felt very comfortable and was really looking forward to a nice dinner here. The service was very attentive without being overbearing and she was super friendly and knew her stuff.
We ordered a couple of craft cocktails that were really good and the calamari appetizer was great.
We ordered a filet and a ribeye both medium rare with the broccolini and the smashed potatoes. The sides were delicious. The flavor of the grass-fed Nieslanik Beef was excellent. Here’s my beef with the beef: the filet was fatty. Not just a little but there was a good piece of fat and gristle that accounted for about 1/4 of the cut. To my knowledge, the Filet is the leanest cut and should have been trimmed better. The Ribeye had quite a bit of fat, but I expect that. Both were served medium, but ordered medium rare. This is my only gripe, and I write this to hopefully convey to the management to prepare the beef with a little more care. I guess I should have said something to my server, but I didn’t want to get in to it and I was not looking to have a meal comped or something. We did really enjoy the experience and would eat there again.
This is exactly what Carbondale needed! Super cool bar/patio and dining room option. Excellent food, friendly staff - great environment. We will be frequenting this establishment!
Not a good experience for the money.
- Music was loud and didn't go with the dining atmosphere, felt like i was in a bar.

- Price point for food quality did not match.... dropping $100 for 1/2 a chicken in a pan and old salad...not coming back
Delicious bison steak and potatoes. Also the wedge salad was superb!
There version of a Moscow Mule was superb. Beef tenderloin was amazing. We requested medium, but it came o the table very rare. It went back to the kitchen and came back perfect.
My dinner guests meals were very good. My sirloin steak was flavorful and perfectly cooked but I couldn't chew it because of the white threading running through it. So for the large expense, I was disappointed. Everything else was delicious.

What a great new restaurant on restaurant row in Carbondale! Beautiful design and great food,. For my birthday lunch had the burger, outstanding and the fried calimari and shrimp, excellent remoulade sauce. The mini wedge was so so. Back to dinner a few days later, shishito peppers. Calimari again excellent steak. It’s a winner and a new regular
We brought our guests from NY to dinner at Brass Anvil on Thursday evening. We were a larger party and every single person was thrilled with their food of choice. Favorites were peppers, crab cakes, chicken, trout, ribeye, wedge.
The staff were fun and super on task. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, overall just a fabulous evening. Thank you Brass Anvil!
We loved the patio and the food. Service was great. My husband had the pork chop and I had the goat cheese and pear salad. We also ordered a side of mushrooms. All very tasty and we recommend you check them out!

Great Food, Service, and even the music choice was great.
Cocktails on the bar menu were delish. Service was good. Portions were small for the price. Buffalo meatballs were not hot and needed more spice. Fried calamari and shrimp was tasty but small portion.
Overall a great experience. The drinks however were overwhelmed by the smoky ice cube, but were creative overall.

This is an attractive spot with good outdoor seating. It's a new restaurant, so they may be working through some issues, like service and food. The food was okay, but not good enough to justify the pricing. The meat was tough, and so either it was a poor cut or just not done well (tenderloin that was local). The side dish of mushrooms were bland and lacked variety, but it could be due to the lack of good foraging right now. However, the menu shouldn't have something so bland. The salad was fine, but also seemed a bit lacking.
Positives were the cocktail menu and the cocktails. Great taste and innovative.
Wine is limited and not terribly creative.
Service was friendly, but felt rushed and a bit insincere. For example, if my server asks me how I am doing then I would like them to actually wait the few seconds it takes to hear my answer rather than blowing by. Servers in general seemed a bit harried and inexperienced. Water glass was filled when we sat down, but the server put the glasses at the other end of the table (not in front of us) as she was looking around and then just left. Odd, as if she were going through motions but didn't realize we were sitting there. Then the water was never filled again.
Excellent dinner; pork chop was delicious. Highly recommended.
The restaurant has been open about six weeks- opening during the pandemic I’m sure has been tough. We went based on a number of 5 * ratings but it didn’t live up to that. It is a very lovely space and they have a large patio allowing social distancing. It was very busy for a Sunday. Our waiter was very gracious and professional. The wine list is very eclectic with many familiar and other unusual producers. wines by the glass more than adequate. Perusing the cocktail list shows nice creativity. The pear salad was delicious but that was about it. The ribeye steak was pretty disappointing advertised at 14 oz but looked like skirt steak. Mushrooms were meh and french fries just ok. Hope they get things settled down by winter.
We celebrated our 1 year anniversary here. Amazing service. The shishito peppers were very tasty. Wine over priced, would have liked to share a 40$ bottle but the cheapest was 60$ of a white wine. Cocktail great. My rainbow trout and veggies seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband got the sirloin - chewy and under cooked- the Mac n cheese with pork belly delicious and the cheesecake with burnt salt sooo good! Prices a bit steep but would go back for the fall menu
Excellent place! We learned that they opened right at the start of COVID,but you wouldn't have known it since they seemed to have all of their processes ironed out. The food was excellent - I don't think there's a bad choice on the menu. Our waiter (Gerard) was great! Highly recommend if you're in Carbondale and want a top notch meal!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by the people at Marble Distillery where we stayed at the Inn there. Our waiters were amazing and kind, the food was delicious, and we had such a wonderful time on their patio. 100% recommend if you’re in Carbondale.
Stunning! The servers are very down to earth, fun and prompt. The food most excellent and the craft cocktails hard to choose from.. we did not want to leave however there were reservations waiting. An awesome dining experience, cannot wait to go back with the whole family.
The service is outstanding! Lunch is very very good! Dinner was tasty but both of our steaks were overcooked and we’re not the type to send food back. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic cocktails, great service and good food.
