Everything was great except for the steak. Only ate half, cooked incorrectly twice and gave up. The branzino was delicious. Staff was superb and ambiance was unmatched. Just left a bit frustrated with the way the steak was cooked and tasted. Rubbery, no seasoning etc. it was the black angus filet mignon.
Beautiful place with excellent steaks and seafood. Large portion of sides - enough for 2/3 each. We shared Snapper between 2 people and could have been for 3/4.
Definitely worth checking out, just be prepared on pricing. Dinner for two without wine was over $500.
Another impeccable service by the whole staff. We were greeted with champagne and broiled blackberry in celebration of our anniversary. We always request for Thomas as our main server, but everybody helped and kept checking at our table if we needed anything. Food is excellent as always! Our favorite is the Broiled Seafood in sizzling plate, bread with truffle butter and sea bass. Compliments to the chef and his sous chefs!

The food was sublime; the service equal to the food. Little pleasant surprises, like the duck fat fries, with three dipping sauces pre-meal, the rolls with truffle butter baked in...the sommelier’s courtesy and patience with my uninformed questions...the unusual wagyu Snake River farms zabuton cut...buttery, flavorful, tender...the only other time we’ve had this cut was in Tokyo, and this one was equally excellent.
Made reservations for my wife's birthday and it was our first time at this restaurant. The service was impeccable and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was superb and we enjoyed every minute of it. The view of the grounds with the ocean in the background was amazing as well. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the experience very much. The people waiting on us were very good - not intrusive, yet there when we needed anything. The food was amazing! I relish the quiet to moderate noise level. It's rare to go to a restaurant today where you can carry on a conversation at a normal voice level...and hear everyone!!! I really REALLY dislike noisy restaurants. Thank you for this wonderful environment. And, of course, the views are spectacular.

Service was slow took forever to get our bottle of wine and my wife’s steak had weird flavors to it. It was not very tasty. The chilled card was great and steak tartare was great .
Having grown up in the meat business, I’m very particular about steaks. My wife and I both had the Wagyu Mishima 6oz filet, and it was the finest steak (and preparation) I’ve ever eaten. We also had the hot seafood appetizer, which was truly extraordinary—raw is great—but this hot preparation elevated the experience to the heavens. The simple roll served with appetizers/salad was like a little surprise golden nugget (you wish you had a half dozen to bring home!), as were the complimentary duck fat fries—with a shout out to the truffle aioli, ‘OMG, I love you man!’ The “Garden Salad,” which we split, seemed to harken back to the days of nouvelle cuisine (rather small to split), but the flavors and textures made it an outstanding choice—one magnificently perfect bite after another. The truffle mac and cheese is a must, yet the Brussels Sprouts were just a mediocre dish. The coconut layer cake was only very good, but the white chocolate ginger ice cream with charred pineapple that accompanied the cake was sublime and memorable. Our server Jaci, who is quite an impressive sommelier in her own right, was attentive, descriptive, and made outstanding recommendations of both food and wines. We found her to be charming, authentic, and lovely—Michael Mina should be proud to have her representing his brand. Bourbon Steak is a gift to south Orange County, and should be on everyone’s special occasion list. We can’t wait to come back and try the epic Lobster Pot Pie!
We celebrated our anniversary here. We got glasses of champagne to start which were amazing. Food was incredible. We got free caramel popcorn and truffles as well. The French fries were to die for. I highly recommend having date night here.
The service was marvelous. An expensive but worthwhile dinner. Nice little extras and touches. We enjoyed dining over 4 hours.

Sent steak back twice and never saw server again. The manager was lovely but the whole experience was a let down and expensive for what we had.
Great service and food. Just a little loud. Very hard to speak to each other. I had couple of senior citizens with me as well which made it tough.

IT WAS AWESOME! The Sommelier picked an EXCELLENT wine and the special chef’s tomahawk steak was the hit of dinner. Perfect place to entertain clients! And, the one “no meat eater” LOVED the ahi tuna and salmon!
We went to Bourbon Steak to celebrate a combo birthday/engagement. The staff was incredible and made the experience so memorable. They were extremely attentive and made extra effort to ensure we had a special night. They even helped a friend arrange the delivery of a bottle of Champagne to help us celebrate. Can't wait to go back for another special occasion!
when a vegetarian patrons a steak place, they just kinda hope for the best. this wasn't it. very few viable options save a couple salads and some sides. and if you're a healthy vegetarian (not all are..), said sides will be far too rich. read: butter, oil, cream, sugar.. etc). brussel sprouts were the best, in spite of the blatant carcinogenic char and heavy syrup. i won't be going back.
The food was EXCELLENT and the ambiance was great. The servers were attentive and we had a wonderful family celebration. I will caution diners though, this is a very expensive restaurant. We brought our own wine, and they charged a $90 corkage fee for 2 bottles, which I found excessive. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend.
Service was outstanding. The food was good - a couple of dishes were oversalted. Seems the menu when it was Stonehill Tavern was far more creative than what it is today.
A beautiful sunset dinner with a view of Catalina. Cocktails were creative, fresh & on point. Tasty appetizers and mouthwatering entrees with an entertaining table side showcase, but best of all was the impeccable true five star service that is very hard to find! Both times we have been here, the service have been equally phenomenal. Amazing attention to details, down to the color of my napkin matching my outfit!! A-mazing!!! I want everyone I know to experience this.

Bourbon Steak was the best restaurant I have been to. The staff was extremely attentive, knowledgable, and were fun to talk to. ALL the food was spectacular, from the amazing truffle bread roll to the main course to the sides. There was a sophisticated flavor to all of the dishes. It was amazing. We went there for our anniversary, and were greeted with a "Happy Anniversary" card at our table signed by the staff. It was such a considerate touch. I have been to high end restaurants in both LA and Orange County. Bourbon Steak was the absolute best of them. I have already recommended it to friends and neighbors. Truly it was a wonderful experience.
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday. We arrived early to our reservation and was seated immediately. My wife was handed a birthday card from the staff. She was extremely impressed and thanked them.
We each ordered wine, their 6 oz wagyu fillet, a side of mushrooms, béarnaise sauce, and a salad.
Unlike prior wagyu fillets at other restaurants, these did not resemble wagyu. They didn’t melt in our mouths like we both experienced in the past. The steaks and the mushrooms were too salty. The steaks we completed, but we could not eat the mushrooms. When they saw the mushroom uneaten they asked if we wanted a to go box and we passed, telling the server that they were too salty to eat.
I asked our waitress if we were served wagyu and she confirmed that we were. I told her my disappointment with the meat and that it might have been Prime, but it didn’t resemble wagyu. She apologized saying fillet don’t have the marbleization that a ribeyes had. I told her that I understood, but that I was comparing their fillet to other fillets I’ve had in the past, and not to ribeyes.
She returned later with a nice birthday wish dessert and candle.
Great venue, good service, but only receive three stars for food.
Our waiter was nice but not very genuine. Kind of ruined the night..The rest of the staff & manager were so kind and amazing..

My husband took me to Bourbon Steak for my birthday and it was an incredibly wonderful experience. The waiters had very extensive knowledge of the menu and how the dishes were prepared, which I thought was very impressive. We had the pork belly bacon and the tuna appetizer and they were both delicious. My husband and I both ordered the filet mignon and it was the best we've ever had. For dessert we had the coconut cake and chocolate bar. Despite being full from our meals, we managed to finish both of our desserts because they were so tasty! To top it all off, we enjoyed the best cocktails from the bar. They have "old school" and "new school" versions of traditional cocktails, which I thought was very fun and interesting. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I thank the restaurant staff and chefs for a truly wonderful birthday dinner.

My wife and I were very much blown away by our experience at Bourbon Steak. The energy of staff & their service was exceptional. Their wagyu tomahawk steak was the best I’ve had at any high end streak restaurant. It’s brought out, unveiled and sliced table side, very cool. My wife ordered sea bass, it was outstanding. Sides were all better than expected, and had a unique spin. Asparagus crunchy with some spicy kick, mushrooms were not your standard button shrooms cooked in butter, more of an assortment making the dish fun & interesting. And I passed on dessert and instead indulged in their martini cart. A custom martini made table side. I opted for a Vesper and was not disappointed. Definitely our new steakhouse of choice in Orange County.
My wife and chose this location to entertain another couple we do business with and it was the best decision! From the moment we entered we were greeted with a warm welcome and sat at a beautiful table. Our main server Regga was incredible (and so was the rest of the staff) she knew the menu perfectly, spoke with confidence and really made our night an “experience “

Took my husband for his surprise birthday dinner and we weren't disappointed. Everyone was very attentive, very informative about the menu and specials. They have a wonderful wine list and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine chosen. The ambience was wonderful as well. He received a birthday card with everyone's signature which was a very nice gesture showing they pay attention to their reservations. My hubby left very content and happy! Will definitely go back.
Impeccable service! Thomas, server and his assistant were fabulous and really paid attention to our son’s food allergy and made a specialty drink for him. This is an excellent bday present for my wife, for our son to get the special attention!
Nice staff, good seafood, ribeye steak was okay, cooked too rare. Nice place but too loud. We liked it better when it was stonehill tavern.

Beautiful restaurant, sexy ambiance, knowledgeable sommelier, delicious seafood platter & banana tarte tatin was to-die-for! I can’t forget about our incredible waiter who did not skip a beat.
