Boulton & Watt has always been my tried & true, go-to spot in NYC for literally every and any occasion imaginable. And every time I am back, my point is further solidified. Myself and a few friends went for brunch on Sunday, and even during a pandemic with semi-unconventional dining processes, B&W still has the same charm and incredible service that it would during any under circumstance, making the whole experience feel entirely welcoming & safe. Will 100% be back.. not like that was even in question, though.
Amazing food! The burger and mac and cheese in particular are delicious. Fun cocktails as well
Boulton and Watt was fantastic! The food was great and the service super friendly — the manager stopped by to ask how everything was which was a nice touch. Also the outdoor section is really spread out to maintain social distancing, and they have heaters at almost every table so you can stay comfortable outside now that it’s getting colder. Looking forward to going back soon!
Absolutely love this place ! Come here for my birthday two years in a row!
Great as always! This was our go-to weekly spot - first time back since before the shutdowns and everything was as we remembered :)
Food was excellent, our bartender Conor was exceptional!
Someone needs to warn people that this is a very noisy bar with a tiny restaurant squeezed in.
Food was great and will definitely be back for brunch again.
I would reccomend this place but not during peak hours. The bathrooms were gross and needed to be cleaned, the noise level was INSANE, the people at the table next to us left after 1 drink and shared appetizer due to the cramped space. Seating was very close table to table and the walkway for waiters and patrons was so small people were constantly bumping into those who were seated on the ends. I had reserved a table and the first table we were going to be seated at other patrons were using as a coat rack / drink holder so I asked for something further back. The braised rib was a small portion for the cost although the Amish Chicken was delicious and worth the money. The wine selection was also very limited.
I love this bar so much. The service is great and the food never disappoints.
The restaurant was nice and the music was great! Drinks were excellent also, our only problems were the “reserved” seating was on stools at a family style table that gave us no privacy and it took a min for the waiter to take out order. Other than that, its pretty great!
Cocktails were good. Service excellent. Very friendly staff. Food was subpar though. A bit disappointed.
We were a group of 8 having dinner before seeing a band at the Mercury Lounge across the street. Our reserved table was ready and waiting for us. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers and the dinners we ordered. We would say the only downside was our server. She really wasn't pleasant at all. It never makes sense that when a person is working in a tip-based business, that they can't figure out that a smile and a nice attitude go a long way. I might add that we are an easy-going group, so it wasn't that she was dealing with hard-to-please people.
Everything was perfect! We enjoyed our 10:30am Saturday brunch before the crowd!
Beautiful space, nice menu..recommend the crispy brussell sprouts
Great casual place for groups - menu is solid with all sorts of comfort food. Service is friendly and unfussed. Had a birthday in our group and they comped the skillet cookie with birthday candle which was really nice of them.
Our group had the pickles, calamari, giant meatball, a bunch of burgers, a salad, brussels sprouts, broccoli rabe and the chicken pot pie. Everything was tasty and to everyone’s liking. Would go back.
Amazing range of options. Cool, rustic feel inside
Cool spot, great comfort food, friendly staff
Dinner, drinks, and service were all excellent!
The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for tasty food.
Nice space but quite loud. The food was just ok. Large portions with more sides than main. Casual spot with decent comfort food but I wouldn’t order the burger.
Great for watching game with little nook to ourselves. Good vibes and great food/drink selection.
Great food-- killer brussel sprouts. Very, very, very loud
Our service was very delightful. Staff had positive energy and very attentive. Food was very delicious and drinks were made to perfection. Love the positive vibe here.
Fun get together then over to the Mercury Lounge!
I always have a great time at Boulton and Watt. The food is consistently delicious and the cocktails are always good enough to have you ordering more than you'd expect. An NYC staple that I hope never closes.
Many thanks to Boulton & Watt for having our party. The reservation was ready in a timely manner and the service was excellent. I commend our waiter who had to provide service during a very busy night and he did a great job of checking in with our table and moving things quickly.
Good as always! Big portions and tasty.
It was Dog Restaurant Week and my husband and I took our youngest pup out to brunch! It was such a fun little spot and the food was delicious. We even were able to order from the doggy menu for our dog! All around it was a great place to dine. Will definitely be coming back
The food was great and our server was very friendly. We asked the host for outdoor seating and were told it would take 30 minutes, even though I saw at least one open table. I figured it must be reserved so we sat indoors. There was a group of extremely loud and obnoxious guys that made us want to leave. Instead, we asked our server for an update on outdoor seating and were sat outdoors right away. It was only 5 minutes later, so it was a bit annoying to have to move when we could have been sat outdoors to begin with.
We loved the food but service was a little blahhh! When we walked in the hostess was very rude. She didn't greet us and was on her cellphone. Eventually, I said "hi can we have a table outside for dinner" she didn't say anything and just grabbed menus and walked outside to the table and put the menus down. How about saying "hi" or "enjoy your meal". The waitress was good but, also a little cold. Almost seemed annoyed when we asked her about drinks. I will be back though. The food was terrific and I liked the vibe. I hope management addresses the issue with the staff. It would be such a better experience if we didn't feel like a bother.
The food was delicious and the hosting staff was very friendly. I’ll definitely be back.
The service was fantastic. Great happy hour specials. Great chef specials. The server even stopped by to let us know when happy hour was ending if we wanted another round. Our food was excellent. Definitely going back.
Great place, great décor, service was excellent. The food was delicious though my burger was a bit underdone so I'd stress that if you're like me and don't want your burger on the medium side. We'll be back!
Nice place for a few friends to get together. Was impressed by the food as well. Would return
Great comfort food! Watched the World Cup Final here and had great seats and service.
Great service, and when I asked to move our reservation to an outdoor table, the staff was more then accommodating. Great meal!
The restaurant was already closed when we arrived, yet they still had reservation time slots available on opentable.
