Overpriced and overrated restaurant and food. The service was excellent but the food and the ambiance were mediocre.

Truly lovely place, and almost directly opposite the Royal Opera House. Food quality and preparation were outstanding. I've given 3 rather than 5 stars, because at £200 for dinner for 4, this was a little pricier than expected. You always expect a bit of a premium price so near to Covent Garden, but I thought this was just too much, especially as we only had 1 course, (although we did have some wine, and a single ice-cream and some coffee at dessert).

Staff were especially brilliant - chceked if we had a performance deadline to make, and made sure all went along to timescales. Very friendly and cosy atmosphere.

Food was also excellent. I had a vegetarian risotto, (asparagus with beautifully / perfectly cooked spinach in it), which was so delicious I was sad it was finished, (although in fairness the portion was also fairly generous - so very nice. Others in our party appeared happy with what they had, (Steak & Chips, and Tuna and chips), and so food quality was certainly 5 stars.

Place was clean and spacious. Other than the price, I'd certainly give this 5 stars. I will probably go back again, (this was my first visit there), and would recommend to people also, but I think to fill the place out, and to get people coming back again and again, the management need to look at their pricing, because that is their achilles heel.

La Boheme afterwards was unforgettable!

Excellent quality of food and a satisfactory level of attention when we needed it. (No conversation intrusions at all.... a major plus in my book)

On the downside were:
Uncomfortably warm room
Essentially the room was candlelit, leaving me struggle to read anything... so just a trifle too dark for me.
Also they offered to take my coat, but I was a bit alarmed to see how easily someone could have walked off with it since it was on display at a key thoroughfare in the restaurant. I would have preferred a more secure location for it.

Really lovely little Brasserie in the heart of Covent Garden. Waiters were very helpful and the food was good.

The food and service were very good. The only downside was that more tables had probably been crammed in than was comfortable or maybe were just unlucky with our table.

Have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions. It’s very convenient for theatre and the opera house.
We always receive a friendly welcome, and are looked after very well.
The food is good and great service too.

Really good meal, good value and excellent service. Just loses a star for being rather cramped - five adults around a small table. Will certainly dine there again.

We had the early pre theatre £23 for 3 courses and a Kir Royal. While the choice on this menu was limited, the food was good for the price - not going to turn the world on fire, but perfectly pleasant. The atmosphere was convivial. Service to start with was a little slow but speeded up and the waitress was very agreeable. It wasnt busy so we stayed longer than the 2 hour slot. We agreed as a group we would go back there for a reasonably priced meal, especially pre theatre.

It was a good place for pre-theatre meals. The ambience was nice and easy to chat to friends without loud music. Service was friendly. Food was good portion and well cooked, however slightly too salty for some of us. Overall it was very good value for what we get. Good location to get a sit-down meal before a show.

Excellent pre-show meal. Brasserie experience better than chains such as Blanc and Cote. Best steak frites in a long time, and excellent value with Toptable offer.

I am a regular customer when going to the opera house because the food is excellent and the service prompt. However, on this occasion one of the main courses brought to us was not the one we ordered and our order of olives prior to the meal was forgotten and required a reminder. In the past I have been impressed by the way the waiting staff commit the order to memory rather than write it down - but not on this occasion! The lighting can be rather dim for reading the menu to the extent that you have to hold the menu close to a candle to read it.

From start to finish this was a great experience, me, my mum and my nan chose this restaurant due to its close location to the Savoy theatre, and its extensive yummy looking menu. We were not at all disappointed, all the staff were welcoming and friendly, however our waitress, Jenny was exceptional. Nothing was too much. She was a superstar! Thank you Jenny and Boulevard brasserie! Would definitely come back! Great spot for pre theatre! Lovely decor and reasonably priced! Moules and frites and apple tarte tatin were amazing!

This restaurant serves excellent French dishes, including a number of classics. The service is extremely efficient without being intrusive. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. If I have a criticism, it would be that some of the tables for two are very close together, which is fine unless your neighbour has a voice which carries and obnoxious views on just about everything, as ours did!! NB This was not, of course, the fault of the restaurant which I highly recommend.

I booked the table with only few hours advance. We were sat on a nice size table and it was comfortable even if a little too dark as we were in the alcove under the stairs and therefore our table was basically lit by the candle in the middle.
The food was very nice, tasted good, was well presented and was served hot. Staff was ok - polite but rushed. They forgot to bring us the drink part of the menu to start with, they agreed to bring it with the dessert since I could not get the attention of the waiter before the food arrived. Unfortunately they forgot again about the drink. Since again I struggled to get the attention of the waiter and we were anyway full, we just let it go. To be fair the place was full and there were couple of parties so, not a big deal.
In general we enjoy our dinner and we will come back if we are again in the area.

As usual, overall we had an enjoyable evening, with pleasant service and tasty food. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by having to wait a very long time for our main courses.

The restaurant was very busy, and we realise that sometimes things go wrong, orders get lost. But it would have helped to have been kept informed.

So we ended up eating much later than we would have hoped. We were compensated by not being charged for our main courses, which we appreciated.

But the food was good, the waiter was pleasant, and the meal was good value (and would have been even if we had had to pay for our main courses). Our experience will not deter us from using the restaurant again.

Dined at Boulevard Brasserie for a catch up with old friends, have eaten here previously. Our waiter was new - and still in training, so a little slow but that was fine as we weren't in any rush.

Everything about this place is just so very good. Ambience; menu choice; food quality and above all such super service from manager(ess) Lucy and her team. I eat her maybe 6 times a year and it rarely, if ever, drops its standards. I think I had a disappointing starter once.

It was a New Year diner with my family. I have paid 2x50£ for fixed menu. We arrived earlier then our reservation. Finally we are steated. Our table was in the cafe part nor restaurant part. So it was dissapointing for us. We could had dinner with people in the restaurant not in the bar/cafe side.

Addionally, we are not informed (or I missed) about service fee which was charged £18 while check out.

I'd visited the restaurant before but this time it was pre-theatre and so there were time pressures . The restaurant is really good with making sure you get there on time and the meal didn't feel at all hurried. It was also very tasty and we were able to use the 50 per cent off food voucher from Open table and reduced the bill by £25.
