About
Had a great time. Food was amazing.
Delicious food, personal, attentive service. It helped that we were among the only tables in there most of our meal--which is a shame because it was incredible. My mom said it was the best meal we had in NOLA. Inventive dishes and so well done. Would absolutely recommend!
Chef Nathaniel Zimet nails it every time. Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding mmmm.
Wonderful food, wonderful space but small so it gets noisy quickly.
Waitstaff excellent. Food excellent. Relaxed atmosphere.
Very good food. Ambiance pretty good, the other location was better.
Outstanding rotating menu and great vibe There are a few nice outdoor tables as well for when the weather is nice.
My husband and I were so pleased with this charming and authentic New Orleans restaurant. The chef and staff were delightful as was the great cuisine. Portions were just right and the prices were affordable.
I highly recommend this hidden gem.
Great food, fantastic and genuine service.
Love being back in the old spot!
Fine dining experience in a non-pretentious setting. Excellent service, and I highly recommend the charcuterie board.
Enjoyed being in the new old space.
We arrived for our dinner approximately five minutes past eight, after a $30 cab ride - plus an additional $20 to return downtown to a different restaurant, we found the door locked and the lights turned out. We were truly looking forward to dining at Boucherie but based on our non-experience experience we will never return to find out what we missed. So very disappointed!
We had a great time there! The food was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. I wouldn’t change a thing! And try the Disco Punch☺️
Food was very good, but the tables are so jammed together that we felt part of the conversations of those tables around us. We especially enjoyed the Chess Pie. Love that little "kick" from the chilis.
The move back round the corner seems a pity. We liked the location and its ambience, Boucherie had become pretty much a favorite, but the room that was spacious and pleasant is now cramped and noisy. It's difficult to know why, and perhaps even just bad luck, but the previously excellent food seems also to have taken a step backwards as well, not as finely judged as before - less taste, more pepper and salt. For whatever reason the place was also relatively empty, so the locals may have noticed some changes, too.
The salty dog drink was great
The food here was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was so warm & inviting , and the staff was incredible. Each plate we ordered was beautifully made and presented and the prices were beyond affordable. The flavors in what we assumed were simple dishes blewww us away. I ordered the tomato soup & silver dollar pancakes and ill never forget how they tasted. EVEN THE SALAD BLEW US AWAY !
Lovely atmosphere, set in original New Orleans shotgun. Excellent service without being overwhelming. Food was superb.
Most amazing food I had in years. BBQ Asien fusion food, that is to die for.
The Ribs and the Brisket are so delicious that I went two times in a row.
Awesome food as always. One of my favorites in New Orleabs
Boucherie is my favorite restaurant in Mew Orleans. I hadn’t tried their brunch yet though and I have to say that once again I was amazed by the quality of their food. Charbroiled oysters and the brisket, absolute must have!
Excellent across the board. Service was a little slow but otherwise good. Prices were quite reasonable. Great overall experience.
This was an extraordinary meal in a lovely home-like quiet setting, a small restaurant with a magnificent hands-on visible chef. We loved everything we ate at a level where we stopped speaking, closed our eyes and just became lost in the perfect flavors. This chef does add some unusual ingredients, but not with shock value in mind, but because his choices actually are an amazing gustatory treat, so truly a work of art. This is one of New Orleans’ greatest restaurants, we feel sure, and we are from Baltimore, also known for fine dining. This was worth the airfare. Thanks to the chef!
Had a fabulous lunch — beef brisket w Parmesan fries and pulled pork. They paired beautifully w a Rhône blend from Paso Robles. Will definitely return when we come back to New Orleans.
This is a gem. The food is spectacular. And hidden uptown!
Room temperature was a bit cold in February so would have liked a little heat. I ordered the special which was halibut nicoise. I enjoyed the flavor combination but for $25. I expected not to have such a lovely mild piece of fish sautéed with no coating to prevent protein from being toughened and over cooked on top of that. Too bad because I really wanted to like this restaurant.
Came to New Orleans for the day. Wanted to try local Louisiana cooking where the locals eat
Food was great. The service was friendly but incredibly slow. Don't go if you are in any kind of hurry. It's also very tight in there.
Amazing experience all around. The staff is knowledgeable and responsive... the menu is amazing... the flavors are even more spectacular. We loved everything we ordered... the Krispy Kreme bread pudding is worth the trip alone. You’ll want to visit this place several times on your trip!
This restaurant is in an old home and painted purple. Small and intimate place but the food was really good and I would recommend it if in the aera.
Food was pretty great. Service was friendly but very relaxed and not as detail oriented as expected for the price point.
I just LOVE this place so much! The chef never fails to disappoint with a creative, soulful menu, and the staff is wonderful. This is also one of the best values in the city in terms of the quality of food/service for a very reasonable price.
Food was perfect and well-thought out.... everything was homemade and hand made from the biscuits and handmade breakfast sausage patties to the fresh squeezed OJ in our mimosas. Delicious!
One of my new favorite restaurants in Nola! Truly remarkable and romantic!
Everything was fantastic. Small space, intimate. Food was incredible- happy to have gone with two people who were willing to share their plates.
The balance of price and quality at Boucherie is outstanding. Nowhere has such excellent food at better prices.
We had been to Boucherie on Carrollton a few times and loved it. However this past experience was a real let down. The waitress was not invested at all in providing service. We waited a long while for her to take our order. Hardly anyone was in the place. I ordered the oyster onion stew as a starter. My husband liked it a lot. I didn’t really like it. It didn’t taste fresh on a Thursday night. My son had gnudi and gnocchi. He liked it. The romescu sauce was very delicious. The scallops were very good, though I wasn’t impressed with the latke.. The wagyu plate was a little too fatty for my husband. Our guest ordered king crab and enjoyed it. The atmosphere is pretty bland visually, but they had good music.
This is a small, unpretentious restaurant with a creative and well-executed menu. We took out of town friends and they loved it. It has a reputation for its meats but has a good selection of seafood. The grilled shrimp and grits appetizer was among the best I've ever had, and the grits were much lighter than the classic version of the dish.
The hamachi crudo appetizer was subtle, with the roe on top adding salt and bite to a light, beautifully presented dish. The brisket was perfectly cooked, with the right level of smokiness; one of the best versions of the dish I have ever had (including my own). The seafood gumbo appetizer was surprisingly light, but the "cornbread" that came with it, which was really a cracker made with cornmeal, was the one disappointing part of the meal.
Desserts were tasty, particularly the chocolate pecan dessert. I didn't like the chess pie as much, but it has just a hint of spiciness that added to the dish.
One of the best parts of the restaurant was that you could talk. The dining room is not that large, but even when it was full, you could still hear across the table. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The food was superb. The service mostly excellent, the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. I would and have recommended this restaurant to many already.
