We went for brunch on Sunday. It’s right in the heart of the Pearl district, right around the Farmers Market. The steamed buns was amazing, first time having them. Great food. Great area. Great experience!

Food was just "ok". I think it could be more inventive. The music playing in the background needs an update, as the selection was reminiscent of a mix I would have heard at a TGIFridays. The service, while courteous, was amateurish. This place glimmers with promise, but needs a good polish.

Overrated. The food was at best average. Also too
many flies hovering around. The best part
was the service.

The Restaurant was fantastic, and I would recommend it to everyone. The food was eclectic and delicious, with flavors that were off the chart! The service was very good.
If I could give one silly constructive criticism, it would be that there be at least one selection of an Amber or darker beer on the list. If your not a beer drinker, than there is absolutely nothing holding you back from a stupendous meal!

Ambiance and service were great. Appetizers were amazing. Then, three out of four entrees we ordered were disappointing. Two of the three entrees were so salty we ended up taking them to home to doctor them up - we debated returning the plates to the kitchen but did not want to deal with the hassle. For the price, the food should be outstanding from start to finish. We would definitely go back but be very selective on what we ordered. In general, it seemed like the Peruvian-inspired dishes were great and the Asian-inspired dishes need help.

Maybe it was just one of those days. We came in for dinner on a Saturday. One of their woks broke soo there’s a long delay on our meal. We ended up asking it to go. They offered to have a drink while we wait. We declined the offer bc the 1 drink we did have is enough. However, after patiently waiting and had given us our orders, they still forgot the kids meal. My husband had to go back again and get our orders straightened out. Our waiter was very nice and the wok situation was out of his hand. But, we would appreciate to double check our orders before handing us our bag.

Great food. We loved the food and the shareable dishes. Staff seemed friendly but our server was not very helpful in recommending dishes, almost felt he was not really wanted to help and to make our dinner experience outstanding. Towards the end of the meal he became very funny and friendly.... well he showed he was able to give a different experience to his patrons. Wish next time we can get someone else.

The food was fabulous the drink selection as well. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and provide great input for selections and recommendations. The food is A Peruvian Asian type of infusion, very much like the uniqueness. It was wonderful to share the dishes with the others at the table for a somewhat family style eating.

We looked for vegetarian options.
The beet salad was amazing!!! (5 stars) and the Pisco Sour drink was good as well. I was not amazed about the eggplant with noodles plate, it was drowned in sauce and it came with only two tofu bites.

The one problem I have with botika is the food service. The understand the waiter told us ahead of time that once a dish is ready, they send it out immediately regardless if the rest of the tables food is ready or not. From the time the first dish came out to the time of the last dish to come out (mine) approximately 45 minutes went by and everyone else had already finished their food, creating a weird kind of eating experience. I’m not sure who came up with this idea of service at a restaurant, but it’s not very enjoyable. To be the only person eating after everyone else has already eaten doesn’t seem right and goes against what a real dining experience is.

The service really ruined the experience. It seemed completely chaotic. We were approached three separate times by different servers delivering food that wasn't ours. This happened as well for two tables next to us. Our main dish took at least 25 minutes to come up. Right when we were about to find someone and cancel, yet another server showed up with the dish. I got the distinct feeling the dish had traveled around the restaurant a few times. We didn't even bother with dessert. I just wanted out of there. I signaled for the bill and someone came by with the card reader and we paid. Then, as we're standing up to leave the original server showed up to give us the bill. Jeez.

We celebrated father's day, our kid's food was served fast and hot which it was perfect. Drinks were also very good. I had my hamburger but it took some time to get not as much as my wife's meal and it was cold. My wife ordered the bento box and it took about 45 minutes to be served, while waiting the waiter apologized about 3 times and mentioned our meal was next and we even received a glass of champagne while waiting. Once her food was served it was very cold, didn't even finish half of it. Manager apologized and the restaurant took care of our check which we appreciated. Not sure if we are coming back

I love introducing people to this place because there’s something for everyone. Even less adventurous eaters find they can “get out of their comfort zone” without freaking out - and with finding new favorites. Great service, outstanding flavors, comfortable seating. It gets loud as the evening’s crowd grows, but that’s part of the fun.

We visited Botika for lunch on a Sunday and found that they were serving only a brunch menu. My son was hoping to try their sushi menu but chose cebiche instead and was not disappointed. I had the day's bento box and it was outstanding in both flavor and presentation. The rest of our party sampled different dishes (crunchy salad, pot stickers) and everything was excellent. Great service by the staff and a lovely, relaxed ambiance in the restaurant. I would highly recommend and would definitely return again myself.

The octupus was too burnt. The waiter couldn't recommend which food to eat. This was our second time The first time we asked the waiter and he took care of the whole experience and it was awesome! This time we had to be asking for every little thing. Could you please bring soy sauce for the sushi, could you please bring me a diet coke, mine is empty, I have been waiting for the ice, etc, etc. He kept forgetting things.

Service was poor. Who extends a reservation at 2:45pm only to restrict lunch service at 3.00pm ???
Food was mediocre. HEB's sushis are of better quality and taste.

The only good part was that portions were small, so you don't have to suffer much.

The food and service were excellent. We just happened to sit next to two very obnoxious guests when we were there and it took away from the ambiance. Also, the servers didn’t seem like they had a place to go when they weren’t tending to a patron, so they all huddled in the middle of the restaurant which looked a bit awkward. Other than that, it was excellent food at reasonable prices. We will be back.

I went there for my friend’s birthday. We ordered the Yuquitas, Hongos, sashimi, spicy eggplant noodles and dragon rolls And sorbets for desser which were delicious. I really like the spicy eggplant noodles, yuca fries and Hongos. The sashimi was really small we didn’t share. The food was good, I still have to go to try the lomo saltado. Overall Id recommend.

The empanadas and cocktails were good. However, the entree was disappointing. It was too sweet overall, but the pork belly was cooked with a nice crisp on it. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing, but it wasn’t impressive for the price.

Botika has some great dishes, we had the dumplings. Fantastic! Eggplant pasta was wonderful too, great drinks as well. I hate to give service a lower score, only given because 5 minutes before (also prior to reservation time) we got there we got a thank you for dining at Botika email from opentable. We had not been seated yet and when we arrived, they could not find our reservation. I had to show the reservation email to the staff to let them know we think someone must have accidentally taken the reservation. No big deal as they found us a spot at the bar. But then, we were not greeted by a server for 15 mins. I had to ask the front if maybe we were supposed to order in a different way. She handled it quickly tho, and once the server arrived, who was awesome, away we went! Great food! Great place, just a tough start I suppose.
