About
Rounding out the menu is a beverage program of natural wines, craft beer, produce-centric cocktails, fresh juices and spritzers, and Manufactory coffee and Leaves & Flowers teas. In addition to the restaurant, the space houses a market, stocked with the products and local produce used in the kitchen, the wine and beer from the restaurant list, prepared foods and house-made snacks.

Lovely food. Although we didn't know the names of some of the veggies and plants, it all tasted wonderful and familiar enough, but still a new taste experience. The food was visually welcoming and you can spend according to your budget.
I loved Botanica my first visit Bc of the fresh green menu but service was pretty slow.
I just went back and wow... we couldn’t get anyone to come to our table!
We went for two friends' birthdays who were celebrating together. There were seven of us and it was fun. The food was really delicious, though my dish was perhaps a bit salty for my taste. The cocktails were great too, especially the Strawberry. We were seated inside but there is also an outdoor patio in the back.
To be honest... I thought this food was FAR too expensive for what i got. The dates were dry and tasted like they were old. The $26 vegetarian meal I got had pickled mushrooms in it and it was not good. I would not come back nor would I receommend it to anyone.
I love Botanica, it's such a special restaurant with super fresh, innovative cuisine that constantly intrigues and always satisfies. Plus the ambiance is great, something I'm generally very sensitive to in restaurants. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (yay!) Both areas are super cute, comfortable, have great lighting, and allow you to actually hear your dinner conversation. Outdoor seating is in a back patio which feels very distant from street, cars, and city activity. This has quickly become my favorite go-to for special occasions or really any kind of outing!
My favorite dinner spot in LA! Great atmosphere and incredible food.
Food quality was uneven. Red wines too fruity. No earthy, robust choices.
I am heartbroken that Botanica went from out of this world to mediocre in such a short period of time. It was so amazing and lovely when it opening. Last time I ate here I was treated so poorly they ended up comping ALL of our alcohol. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth but excused it as a random negative experience. Went back for dinner on Wednesday and was completely shocked by the portion sizes. Things had literally shrunken by over 50% with the same price tag. The tartine used to be a hearty serving that could be shared; Wednesday night the toast that arrived at our table was about 3” square —- completely laughable. Fattoush-y salad was tiny and the carrots, though the same dish, were prepared in a completely different fashion than they had been 2 weeks previous. I’m so sad I find this place to be beyond disappointing :( check out Kismet, Mh Zh, or Momed for far superior experience. Shame on you, Botanica.
I ordered the black cod and it was really well seasoned! Also they’ve got the best oatmeal cookie ever! Loved it!
We love great food and great spaces.
After seeing the plates in photos online,
We thought we would try Botanica.
Loved the vibe.
But not all the food was good.
We ordered the fruit bowl described as the “prettiest fruit”.
Dry berries and bland options.
Felt like I was getting a hand full of fruit from the fridge.
The soft scramble was basically runny eggs. =/
I thought they would make legit a soft scramble dish.
The gee cooked banana ginger bread slice things were yummy and so was the basil lemonade.
The latte’s espresso was so bold it just tasted like double the amount of espresso for a balanced drink. Defiantly don’t recommend this unless you like that cray crack coffee I loved as a teen. I prefer a great pulled shot on ice and a splash of milk. This wasn’t it.
As bad as the options we picked. There were defiantly some good notes there to make us possibly return to give it another shot. The cod sounded good. Will skip the coffee and fruit bowl next time.
Fantastic place. Great atmosphere. Food was wonderful and beautifully presented.
Botanica’s food is both insanely delicious and super healthy. The vibe is perfect whether you’re inside or on the charming patio. The restaurant is clearly a labor of love and you can feel the owners’ commitment to celebrating the joys of sharing great food and drinks in a beautiful ambience. The organic wine list is outstanding and the cocktails are terrific—a must-try is the beet cocktail (made with your choice of tequila or mezcal). Gluten free baked goods are available and the chocolate olive oil mousse tarte is to-die- for. Check out their website, which includes recipes for a lot of their signature dishes. Bottom line: expect a creative, flavorful feast for the palate at Botanica in a setting you’ll want to linger in -and return to often.
We loved everything about Botanica except the black and white spotted plates - you can't see what is food and what is not with spotted plates. Stick to cream colored! Great service - great food.
Great ambience and interesting dishes. Consistently good and charming
Waited 45 min past reservation time
Delicious, thoughtful food.
The space itself is so pretty!! Unfortunately we were disappointed in the rest of our experience. The food was forgettable and so overpriced for the portions! We got the chicken, lamb and the sweet potatoes - all of them were ok but nothing to write home about. The chicken and lamb dishes looked big but then you realize it’s mostly salad.... the drinks were ok, but again, nothing special. Such a bummer.
A feast for the senses! The gardens are exquisite at all times, but I especially appreciate the colors and smells and sounds at sunset. Therefore it is very lovely to dine in this beautiful setting. The chef created delicious, healthy and creative dishes—we returned the following week as EVEYTHING had been so perfect!
Went for a wine tasting and ended having dinner - service all the way around was great!
Lunch with a friend and we shared two delicious dishes: Turkish Eggs and Morning Mezze, both beautifully presented.
Awesome fresh/farm-to-table food. Great combinations and flavors. I especially loved the interesting combination of spices. Favorites were the roasted carrots and the lamb kabobs! Also loved the ambience and the staff. I highly recommend this great restaurant in Silver Lake!
The food and drinks were absolutely divine. However, we didn’t have a great service experience. We never were told the kitchen was closing soon until we asked for an extra piece of bread and were told we couldn’t have it bc the kitchen was closed. This would have been fine but we had never informed that this would be happening. Our waiter was condescending and made a few rude remarks to my friend. We also had a reservation at 1:45 and also weren’t seated until 2:15. Other than these few missteps the food was amazing and everyone else was nice and accommodating.
Really quite exceptional and creative plant-focused cuisine.. It felt healthy without being too serious. Super flavorful, good portions for sharing, and very fresh! We sat the bar and enjoyed the bartenders recommendations . The natural wines were really fun and interesting for trying and enjoying! Great ambiance for a date or friends meetup. Without a doubt, really worth the trip from Long Beach! thank you Botanica!
Food is unreal. Service was awesome! Highly highly recommend - was super pleased! (And I am a very picky when it comes to dining out!!!)
natural vines + new Californian healthy food + brunch/lunch spot
Very cute and chic decor - gorg plated/presentation of food. The restaurant has some cool gadget that lets them easily split the bills so dining in a group was a piece of cake when it came time to pay!! Parking can be tough but I found a spot on one of the streets behind the restaurant. Overall good experience and I would go back! I feel healthy after eating here and not gross or overly stuffed though food is a tad pricy.
The food was very inventive and tasty. A lot of the dishes can be split between people. So worth every calorie. Delicious
I want most restaurants near my home to succeed. I hope that Botanica can make its food more flavorful and FAR less greasy. The mixed chicory salad was by far the best thing we ate but the dressing was very heavy-handed. The Cassoulet was swimming in grease. The side of thick cut bread felt like it had been dipped completely in oil, then toasted, then taken out of the oven and either left to sit for a ling time or placed back in the oven to warm. The ambiance is very nice but he food needs a lot of work. I went there for lunch once and it was better than dinner. Not a good place for children.
Amazing flavors!
This was our second visit, the return prompted by the rave recommendation of a friend. Nothing about this trip forced us to reconsider our previous impressions.
We were confirmed in our belief that the food is ok, but not noteworthy. Too heavy a hand with the pimenton (on many items) suggests to me that the cook is trying to overcompensate for something. Whatever that reason is, the pimenton overpowered everything else on those dishes.
As with our previous visit, we found the prices high for what was delivered. That said, the fact that we could walk to the restaurant was enough of an incentive to ameliorate the price point.
Finally, we sat inside on this occasion, which was nice and cozy on a cold evening.
Bonus points for having a full bar and nice wine list.
Botanica knocks it out of the park. Every. Single. Time.
Food, service, drinks, wine, ambiance, it factor. Obsessed.
Great place for breakfast
Great place. Very farmers market
Perfection as always
Excellent food, starters are generous. We had a flight of wines which were pricey and not spectacular. All said the atmosphere is great (especially on the patio) and the food healthy and delicious.
Horrible. Service was bad. Slow. All food too spicy. We left after the appetizers. Not coming back.
Exceptional. My husband and I are chefs in Boston and it's quite hard for us to find and agree on a restaurant that excels in every area. Botanica did just that. Ingredients are fresh and perfectly prepared. Portions are perfect. The menu is written to cover a large range of tastes which is hard to do.
Plenty of details are looked after; cleanliness, beautiful but calming interior, hand-thrown pottery for table, great coffee and our server was fabulous.
Don't think...just go!
Food was outstanding. However, we had a reservation for brunch and waited for 40minutes past the reservation for the table. Not sure if they were overbooked or what, but that's a crazy wait. They got the food out fast once we were seated, but I expected a round of drinks, some free coffee, something besides an apology to make up for the terrible wait time.
One of my favorite restaurants in LA. This is such a good place for a date with a friend. It's casual but cozy, beautifully lit in the evening, and the food is amazing.
Always wonderful. Fresh innovative food and wonderful and unique wines.
