Boston Harbor Hotel- Holiday Brunches
Our waiter Ben was amazing - we had a very large group of 14 for Mother’s Day Brunch! Great selection of food and the live band was a great touch!
I've attended Easter Brunch at several hotels in the past 5 years. I must say I was disappointed with Boston Harbor Hotel Brunch. We were directed to back of hotel for brunch. We checked in with the only person we saw. She was at the dining room desk. She said that our reservations were for upstairs so we went upstairs. There was no one to greet us. After about 5-10 minutes of looking around and seeing if anyone came to greet us, I returned downstairs but this time asked someone at a table with coloring books. It was extremely crowded and there was no one giving any direction whatsoever. We were instructed that this was the place to check in. There was no visable sign and no one directing us to this table. I didn't think the table with coloring books was where we check in but it was. The person was very gracious. He checked us in and said someone would come up to seat us when our table was ready. (others had the same problem and I told them where to check in) By the time we were seated it was on or after 2 PM for our 1:30 reservation. The food selection was OK but not fabulous. I believe there was one type of potato...no mashed and nothing special that I would not get elsewhere. The lobster was something we had not had before at brunch. Our servers (Maria and here partner) were wonderful. I much preferred the ambiance and the food quality and selection of the 4 Seasons Hotel (in Washington DC). It was not worth it for the cost. The people were lovely that we interacted with from the people greeting us at the door to our servers.
We’ve gone to the Easter brunch at Boston Harbor Hotel for multiple years .. always a table of six adults and In years past the BHH always did an amazing job. However this year they were clearly overbooked and it showed. Our reservation was at least an hour delayed with little to zero communication about why... unfortunately their amazing service was minimal at best .. the food was still lovely but not certain I’ll return for holiday brunch next year! It’s too bad I expected more from them on a special day. Sadly even the flowers on our table were a disappointment.
was expecting more variety for a christmas brunch
The opulent buffet offered foods from traditional breakfast lunch and dinner menus. Everything we tasted was very good. Of particular note was the roast sirloin, cheese board, shellfish bowl and the bacon. Desserts were minis so we were able to enjoy a variety of flavors. The free eggnog station and candy bar was a nice touch in the lower lobby area where we needed to wait because our table wasn’t ready at the reservation time. Our wait wasn’t too long.
The function room used for the holiday brunch is lovely. It seemed the larger tables got the better views. We, along with other couples, were seated at the back, interior tables. We were at a four top and enjoyed the extra elbow room. The waiter invited us to take our time and we enjoyed a pause between courses to draw the experience out to three hours!
There was live music played at a appropriate dining room volume and Santa was in the House! Overall this is a good choice for a holiday treat
Great time. Very genteel atmosphere. Food was excellent and service was very attentive.
We have had the pleasure of attending 3 holiday brunches over the past 2 years - each one was a memorable dining experience. The food and service (as well as the harbor views!) are at a premium level.
Overall great experience some dishes taste better than others.
everything was great except one thing, the paella, calamari, lamb chops are supposed to be hot,
you never eat a cold lamb chop its awful they should have been in warmers. the lobster should have
be luke warm. the service was great, the servers also. they need to put warm food in warmers where did
you ever eat cold paella no where.
We had a party of 9 attending. It was a Mother Day Brunch for us. Food was good. Overall a bit pricey, but still enjoyed it. The Deserts Chef helped out my daughter to explain some Vegan options.
Overall experience was great.
Exceptional Mother’s Day Brunch with My Family!
We have been to Taj and Liberty for Brunch and this far exceeded our expectations.
Would highly recommend Fathers Day Brunch!
We arrived 15 minutes prior to our scheduled reservation time and told “we’re not quite ready for you”. We were seated 25 minutes after our selected time....We requested a table at a window. We were placed as far away as possible. The presentation was magnificient!!! Our server team began with a 5 star approach. The Cuisine was expertly prepared and each morsel was incredible! After our second visit to the buffet we returned to a tidied up table, but utensils and napkins were omited...we waited minutes trying to flag a member of the team. The food was sensational, but the service that began expertly, quickly descended and never recovered. We are wondering if we would return next year.....
Easter Brunch was amazing. The best I have ever attended.
Had a lovely Brunch on Easter Sunday. The staff was attentive, the food delicious., and our table had a lovely view of Boston Harbor. I would go back again.
Great choice for Easter brunch. It made our visit to Boston most memorable.
Outstanding experience, especially are incredible server. Great ambiance, outstanding food, nice music and genuinely friendly and attentive staff. A perfect Christmas meal.
This has been a holiday tradition for many years !
Although the food and the selection was good, the buffet was not as lavish as in past years.
Went to Christmas brunch for the first time. It was fabulous. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Great place for families and couples to go on the holidays. The food is delicious (there's something for every one) and the setting is fun and festive. The music is great and the staff is wonderful. The desert selection is something special. Expensive, but considering the quality of everything (food, service, setting ) it's worth it.
Outstanding service, wonderful food and a festive holiday theme.
Thanksgiving brunch with a mix of family and friends. Everyone raved over the food and ambiance. Already making plans to do it again next year!
Our family went to the Thanksgiving Day Brunch in the Atlantic Room - on a scale of 1 - 10 - about a 12.
The wait staff were top notch - professional - extremely attentive.
The quality of the food was outstanding - as well as the presentation - the food was set up "station" style as opposed to a buffet - this eliminated that crowded feeling at buffets.
Would definitley join you again.
Great meal and great service in a beautiful setting. Enjoyed the music very much.
