Bosscat Kitchen & Libations perfectly meshes upscale and casual dining with an expansive whiskey selection and unique offering of American comfort food. It offers high energy, open spaced concepts to promote a lively dining experience. With the rustic industrial aesthetic, brick metal and barrels are prevalent in the space. One of its most coveted attractions is the famous whiskey room, that houses hundreds of whiskies from several countries. From high end whiskies like Pappy Van Winkle, to a shot of Jameson with a Coors Light, there is something here for everyone's taste; and Bosscat prides itself on being this type of environment. Each season new flavors and recipes are brought into the kitchen. The culture and staff are encouraged to foster the fun and unique dining experience they so strongly emulate. Bosscat is open all week for lunch and dinner. Happy hour is available on weekdays, and a fun, boozy brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays.

    The decor and food was lovely. Service was HORRIFIC. And the music was SO loud. We asked if they could turn it down on the patio and the server (who was super rude) was like “nope! That’s the way the owner wants it!” Now I understand an owner wanting specific things for their brand. Duh. However, because she answered so fast and rudely perky about it…suggests this isn’t first time it’s been complained about. The other tables around us agreed. It’s also hard to find and in a weird location in Irvine. Go to Il Fornaio right by there instead! This place was a joke.

    This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at this restaurant. Our server was nowhere to be found, she hardly asked us what we wanted and didn’t even come by during hour 1.5hr visit to see if we needed more water. It is an absolute disgrace the money paid there for that type of service. We typically love bosscat but we won’t be coming back if that is how service remains.

    For a Thursday night, checking in for our reservation at 5:15 seemed to take way longer than expected. (Maybe that was bc there was difficulty with someone’s check-in before us.) In any case, Bosscat may need to staff someone else to check-in other guests instead of letting the check-in line grow 10+ people. When my friend and I were finally seated it was still HH so we shared: the burger, short-rib grilled cheese and the Korean fried chicken sliders. All the portions were generous (for being “small plates”) and the flavors were tasty. The texture on the Korean fried chicken could have been crisper. Loved the selection of red wines. We had the Austin Hope and the Juggernaut and really enjoyed both. Would come back but hope they manage their check-in process better next time. Oh and maybe signs on how to get to the restaurant after parking in the garage would really be helpful for first time customers!

    6:30 reservation and got seated at 7:00. Not too good. Restaurant is extremely noisy, Attentive service and good food.

    Food was good, similar to the Orange location but the service level was just not there which was disappointing as we were celebrating my daughter's graduation. This was my first time at Bosscat with a larger party (there were 8 of us) so perhaps that factored into the "off night".

    Service fabulous. Drinks delicious. Food poor. Prime beef sandwiches overcooked to death. Well well well done. with no real taste other than salt salt salt in the Au Jus sauce. Skimpy on the actual beef portion. Lots of bread roll if that's what you'like. Fries were actually very good!

Every bite was packed with flavor, the cocktails were spot-on, and Morgan delivered exceptional service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.
