Celebrating my boyfriends birthday. I decided to come here. We ordered bone in ribeye and t bone. It was just ok. I've had much better. I was expecting much more from this establishment. We are New Yorkers visiting San Diego. 1st and last time here. The waiter was nice.
Simply a fantastic experience! Sat upstairs, on a perfect evening. The food was spectacular, from the appetizers to tableside caeser salad, and perfectly executed steaks. Even the broccolini was amazing.
Love the ambiance! Ribeye wasn’t great. Not much flavor and tough. Bread was just ok. Potatoes were good.

Guests are not treated equally. A larger table with a reservation time later than ours were seated immediately, but we had to wait. Side choices were so so. Snails were over cooked and cauliflower was underwhelming. Went for a birthday celebration but table next to us gets a special dessert for their birthday and we did not.
Way overpriced to be treated like a second class guest. I’m done with this restaurant.
My husband and I made a reservation to celebrate my husband’s birthday and recent acceptance of a new job. When the staff heard we were also recently married they went above and beyond by bringing us champagne. The service and food were excellent. Highly recommend!

Maybe the most beautiful steakhouse I’ve been to, tableside service was fun, felt like that quality of the meats themselves was a bit lacking.
As always Born and Raised goes above and beyond all expectations. The food and service was amazing and special thank to our waiter Jonathan who made our meal that much better with this extensive knowledge of the menu and amazing recommendations. We will be back very soon!

It was a great ambiance and the rooftop bar had great views of downtown. Dinner was a delicious. My significant other said the steak didn’t require any sauce. He’s a chef so that’s great feedback. My lamb was delicious with the balsamic. The bartender made us an amazing drink, since they didn’t have his drink of choice! Jess our bartender/server was amazing

I had an amazing time bringing my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. Brian was our server and he was so kind, as was all the staff that helped us. Great service and impeccable food and drinks. Loved it!
i love coming to born and raised. i have been many times but this time was probably the best one so far. we were there for 4 hours and had a 5 course meal. the waiter was so nice and never once did we feel as though we were being rushed. we started off with a table side caesar salad and a steak tartare which were both absolutely amazing. then we continued with some burgundy snails and some bread and butter. we also had an ounce of their Siberian caviar which was to die for. for our main course we had a dry aged ribeye and for the sides we got some broccolini’s and hash browns. hands down one of the best steaks i’ve ever eaten. for dessert we had the cheesecake which was sooo good and topped it off with a cup of decaf coffee. definitely a 10/10 recommendation.
It was okay. Maybe we were full. We had reservations at juniper and ivy for an early dinner. So the comparison might not be fair. I felt like born and raised had a great interior design. The staff were dressed in penguin suits or similar. The feel was like a modern 20s era design with 90s hip hop playing. I ordered and old fashion and little Italy - I usually drink my whiskey neat - and I felt like they could have made the cocktails more palatable for my wife. The food was kinda like Morton’s maybe? Or lawrys. Kinda old school sides - the taste textures and presentation were pretty different from juniper and ivys. Don’t order the American wagyu. You might as well order a steak. The Japanese wagyu was pretty good. Our server was knowledgeable with the menu - and pointed out how a dish might taste. Mac and cheese. As he said. Pasta was traditional a quick boil - so don’t expect anything fluffy. Same with the uni pasta - my wife said the chili oil was overpowering. Maybe just dots of oil are needed. Mushrooms were okay - they weren’t magical. The bone marrow is bone marrow the toast was too tough and overpowering. Side of brioche is needed to balance the heaviness of the dishes. Which our server did recommend. We took carrot cake to go. That was good. Come for the pictures and ambiance - the dry aged steak was highly recommended - maybe try that.
Everything was amazing, the new general manager Joseph, greeted us personally and even gave us a special treat for our anniversary. I highly recommend this place!!
Crowded as hell for this place especially on Saturday night! Even with that, They where perfect on timing! Had bone in and food and sides was legit! Staff
This was a cool spot to try. I don't know that I feel the need to come back though. It's loud, the food was cool. The cheeseburger was DELICIOUS! my husband had a filet and it was good but it was really loud and we just weren't overly impressed.
Staff from the hostess to the downstairs bartender to our server Anderson were all kind & very professional. The food was amazing and worth the price. Already recommended to all our friends & family and will be back again, sooner than later!
Wow! Speechless after our first experience at Born and Raised. Our server Brian was a huge help and a pleasure to have. The atmosphere was gorgeous. The menu was impeccable. Brian answered all of our questions and helped us make the best selection. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Will be back!

Filet was great, and really enjoyed cocktails like whiskey mashed.
Our server, Raphael, was amazing. He walked us through the menu and answered our questions about what we should order so that we could sample the entire menu in one go. My birthday was amazing thanks to him! Was a little loud on the top floor, but the view and heaters made it worth it. Lighting is a bit dark, but just use the moveable lamp to read the menu. The toilets are hilarious (each one says something different) and there are Wu-Tang/hip-hop/rap artists framed all around the restaurant. Explore!

Everything about this place makes you want to come back. The vibes inside take you on a full-on Gatsby experience. Although it wasn't the best steak we've ever had, it was good enough for us to want to visit again. Sides were AMAZING and we hope to be seated on the second floor our next visit.
Very noisy, WC coed restrooms BAD IDEA, Caesar salad awesome, probably wouldnt go back.

Very good time. The people next to us got both their bread and appetizers before us which was hard to no notice. Other than that it was pretty good experience
Food was good but was super disappointed in the service. The restaurant highlights table side service, but we found ourselves waiting many times for our server to come over, but he was stuck doing tableside drinks for someone else. The restaurant is very flashy and showy, and for a place like that you would expect the service to be top-notch as well.
The upstairs was lovely although we couldn’t get a table we sat at the bar and ate. The service was outstanding! The food was great. We will go back!
The best restaurant for any special occasion. The only thing better then the food is the service. Worth every penny.
