This place is a hidden gem. We were looking for a place for dinner and drinks downtown after seeing a show. This place came up on opentable and we decided to try it. Loved the ambiance and the service was outstanding. Cocktails were delicious, especially the pisco sour and the punch. We tried the empanadas carne, gambas, pollo a la brasa, and the papa rellena. All were delicious, but especially the pollo and the papa rellena. Would definitely recommend!
The food arrived with big time gaps from one plate to the other. I ordered the ribs and they had a lot of fat. The arroz chaufa had grains that were not well cooked. I felt I was paying more for the place, instead of paying for the quality of the food. Besides that, the enviroment and the music were really good. The table was ready on time and everything was very clean.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely revisit.
I hope they include more vegetarian options; other than that, it was great.
HAPPY HOUR IS THE MOVE!!!!
Great place! Love our server Nick! The food was outstanding!
What a waste. Chef was at Kimpton touting the menu. Ummmm..Chef? Have you checked your front of house? Uninformed, barely trained.I asked for chef to give feedback and, of course he wasn't there. PASS.
Great service, food & drinks.
The food was surprisingly disappointing. We enjoy Peruvian food and go to a restaurant in the suburbs that is of much higher quality. I guess this is a place to go for trendy drinks and moderate expectations for tapas.
Service was awful, food was average.
Absolutely fantastic experience all around. The food, the ambiance, and the service was exceptional!
It was busy for middle of the week. I highly recommend getting reservations. Then only down side is that when we sat in the bar area, the round 2 tops were right on top of each other. Music was loud and you really had to speak up over the music and other people. The food was good; ordering a few small plates was perfect for 2 people. I would definitely like to go back when it is nice out so I can experience Boleo with the retractable roof open.
We had a fantastic experience. Nicholas was our waiter and did an amazing job!! Great venue. Thank you!
Delicious and an overall wonderful dining experience.
Exceptional food, great service
Great food but with limited choices, long cocktail list
Arrived just before happy hour ended. The food is incredible, cocktails are to die for. Phenomenal friendly service! We had a really wonderful time!
Peruvian restaurant that ran out of ceviche and octopus. Gave us some plantain chips to make up for it. Excessively overpriced, not worth what we paid for at all. Also had to grab the water pitcher to refill our own waters. Definitely not going back.
as others have said. food is not very good. empanadas are the best thing on the menu. the cold quinoa salad was drowning in vinegar. the yucca fries were overwhelmed with garlic. the steak skewers were good and tender. this place is okay for a drink and a snack maybe. ambience is nice.
Interesting and delicious food, excellent service in a relaxing atmosphere
Excellent food - creations items - great happy hour - inviting ambience - fun cocktail choices - we sat at a table but lots of variety in seating including excellent bar seating. We will definitely return and can't wait to try it in the summer when the rooftop is open.
The food was great! Valarie was awesome waitress and the music DJ Step was also good!! Highly recommend!
Unique dishes and atmosphere perfect for a fun night out or a great dinner before a show. The authentic Peruvian spices and courses were fun and flavorful!
Our visit was great! The food was delicious, our server was nice and attentive, the drinks were strong, and the setup is nice wether it’s for a romantic date or a quick bite with friends. Would recommend, however it would be nice if the serving on the tapas was a little more for the money but then again they are tapas so..! Haha would come here again and recommend.
Food was wonderful. Nice bar. Our server, Nick, did a fantastic job. A good place for dinner for two, but also appropriate for a business dinner.
My husband and I stayed at the Gray and decided to try Boleo. We were not disappointed. The food (loved the Ceviche) and drinks (Batida was my fav) were fabulous. We will be back!
Great drinks. Food options were limited and not very diverse. Had some issues with food actually making it to the table. Otherwise a cool vibe and a good price.
This place has nice cocktails and a good staff. The food is a little bit more of a mishmash then I like. It’s supposedly Peruvian and Argentinian, but then there are definitely Asian elements mixed in. So if you’re meeting a date for a cocktail, great. If you’re going for your actual dinner, I don’t recommend it as much
Loved the ambience , food was great and service was excellent as well !!!!
Boleo is in a beautiful space. It's lively and energetic, not the best for quiet conversation. It's a little pricey, more of a bar than a restaurant. But the food was good; Lomo Saltado, a very traditional Peruvian dish was very tasty but made with Waygu beef and therefore pretty $. The cocktails were delicious.
Not good food. Couldn’t even finish most dishes because they weren’t good quality. Some came out cold: Very limited choices on the menu. Nice atomosphere for a drink but too noisy for dinner.
Great food in a beautiful setting. I can’t wait to come back during warmer weather to experience the retractable roof. Definitely try the skewers!
We went to Boleo for the Saturday dinner before the show. Everyone loved the place. The food was delicious. Just keep in mind, that you are ordering all entree parts separately - meat/fish , sides &etc. Like making your own plate :)
Overall great experience
We were in a rush to make a 7:30 show. We told our server as when we sat down and he instantly helped us efficiently order and had our first round of tapas coming out of the kitchen in no time! The food was amazing, especially the oysters! Our server got us or check immediately and we made our show with time to spare. We'll definitely be back for a more relaxed dinner.
Go for the drinks. Food is great but on the lighter side and high end for tapas; you'll leave hungry unless you spend a lot. The ambiance makes this the hip place for before or after dinner gatherings or date nights.
Great spot after work, awesome roof top, good service and empanadas were killer.
Ambiance is really nice. Great to meet a friend up, or a quick small bite/ drink. Their food, is ridiculously overpriced and really small portions. Drinks are watered down. The set up is pretty, great location, but nothing impressive considering their prices for what they provide.
We had a nice time hanging out at Boleo, it felt like a backyard get away. Very comfy and relaxing. The food was great and was very filling, we had about 3 portions per person.
