Boil Seafood House
I had these reservations for a week. When we got there we were served drinks and then informed that they were completely out of food. By that point we had already been there for thirty minutes and things were beginning to close meaning that now our options for dinner were extremely limited. Super inconvenient. Why were we not told when we got there that they had no food? Like no food? Really you didn't know? Highly highly unlikely to return. On top of all that we never saw a manager or anything. Super disappointing.
Amazing food and I just love their crawfish!
Timothy gave the best service! I used to work with him at another company but his personality is still the same! Upbeat loves to make sure his customers are properly taking care of.
5stars if I can give more I would!
Much love from Marcus & Maya
Hushpuppies and fries were very good but the trout was flavorless and dry.
Food was excellent. Unfortunately there was some sort of issue with the kitchen and meals were very late which caused a significant interruption in service.
Service was excellent. Didn’t wait long on the food to come out. Food was hot & tastful
It was very loud, waitress didn’t check on us at all. But the food was amazing
The boiled seafood was fantastic. The other food, not as good. But The Service was Horrible! This place needs a new FOH Manager.
My waitress had to have been having a bad day bc her attitude was extremely bad. I was there when they open for three. They seemed annoyed that the line was kind of long to say they were just opening. My food was cold well , Let’s not say cold it was not as hot as I would like when it came to the table. I told my waitress about the issues she immediately pointed out that there was no exchange and I wasn’t asking for an exchange I just wanted hot food. I also ordered for the space to be extra hot it was not as all. The overall experience was rushed! it wasn’t experience my order was not right!! I didn’t really push any issues because my waitress attitude was pretty bad she’s the older woman with the red hair. So I just paid my bill took my food to go but I would not recommend this place.
Everything about Boil Seafood House was and is amazing. I will definitely be visiting New Orleans again just to make reservations at the Boil Seafood House. It's a bit tight but I'm sure the owner will expand but I absolutely have zero complaints.
Go early it’s packed and reservations you still have to wait a little
Amazing!!! Great service and awesome food!
Different style of crawfish but overall very good. I would do it again for sure.
Great food, all local seafood prepared like the locals eat it. Or like a tourist, if you prefer. We were impressed with the food. Service was outstanding. Setting is casual, if not rustic. Picnic tables work here. It’s quite loud.
The food was overall good. I was expecting more of a Louisiana style boil but it was more like New England style. I would suggest keeping the staff up to date on what food you are out of. One member in my party ordered the crab cakes and wasn't until like 20 mins later the server told us that they were out. because of this she didn't have food for like 20 mins while the others got their food. And the other thing is, when you have a reservation don't try and tell me that my reservation is actually 15 mins later than it is and that youll try to to seat us by our reservation time.
It took the sever a long time to come to us after we sat down .. they took for ever to brought our food out and it came out one by one....it was cold... very bad experience in my life
This place was such a good find! I loved walking through the residential areas of NOLA and getting away from the Mardi Gras chaos. The seafood buckets were so good, seasoning, variety of choices, and flavors. The price was reasonable too. We sat upstairs since we had a party of 5 and It was a lot more chill and less crowded. I would definitely recommend visiting this place. Yummy for your tummy!
Food was good but was extremely overpriced. I believe this place is trying to feast off of tourists. They’re not alone in this endeavor but my wife and I, who live in Metairie, were blown away with the prices. We almost walked out. Our waiter, while nice, was extremely talkative without really saying anything. He didn’t ever really answer our questions despite talking non stop. We will not be back.
I’ve been traveling to New Orleans for 30 years and the boiled crawfish was delicious!!
Great service. The seafood boil was a little too salty for me, but i still ate my snow crab legs. The prices were ok.
AMAZING! We ended up doing a second boil it was so good! Tim was a great server! Nailed it on every aspect.
Had a good time, delicious food & drinks. Tim was nice & attentive.
Seafood was delicious! Place was very clean and Jennifer, our waitress was excellent. Anticipated our needs before we even knew what we needed.
A little background, I was born and raised in New Orleans so I was skeptical trying a “sit down restaurant” for crawfish. Usually, the BEST crawfish are from hole-in-the-wall seafood joints where it’s only takeout. Since I had a friend come to town, I really wanted a spot for us to sit down and enjoy crawfish then walk to the parade route (it’s currently Mardi Gras season).
Our waiter at BOIL Seafood House was super friendly and easy-going. We ordered crawfish and shrimp with the Boil House flavor at medium heat and I must say it was REALLY good. Surprisingly good.
We also tried the Cajun flavor at medium heat and that was good also. However, between the two flavors, BOIL House wins.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially local New Orleanians who wants to try “restaurant crawfish”.
Shrimp was overcooked twice.
So much salt in the boil I couldn’t eat the corn. For 47 bucks, two crab clusters and 10 shrimp is exorbitant. I’m not afraid to spend money on great food and love salt. But this is basically an overpriced Joe’s Crab Shack. (Regional reference. Sorry. :) )
The food was great! Thank God we had a reservation cause this place does get packed quick. I did feel like we got ignored once we were seated. A couple who got seated after my friend and I got serviced before us, while we sat before them. But other than that food was great. I did ask for garlic butter sauce low
Heat and it was kind of medium heat but other than that the food was great. The sweet tea was amazing ! A must visit in Nola.
Only 4 stars because our food was not hot. The boil would have been excellent with some steam
Food was amazing and everyone was so nice
FOH, service and food: Awesome! Henry was our server and he was on point. The ambiance is great and the food is so delicious! Price of the food is not too bad either. Two can share a boil because it was really good portion. Too bad we do not have enough room in our belly to finish it all off.
Very nice waiter and the food was bomb and seafood expert says ☺️
the food has no favor. This was a waste of time, over 100 dollars spent for nothing.
Birthdays and very good place to eat
Shrimp is always cooked well and spicy.
Just a wonderful experience all around. The good was amazing as was the dining experience!!
Food was good and fresh! Service was great and as patient as they could be for accommodating us for my daughter's 15th bday dinner party. She was very pleased! That's all that mattered!
This place was on the list of top places to get a crawfish boil in NOLA. I had high hopes, but they were dashed almost on arrival. They were out of three different things we wanted to order, but they said in an hour those items would be available. We decided we’d have a drink and hang out, and wait for the food to be available. We had a child with us who likes seafood, but no spice, so we ordered our food with no heat. The platter was so spicy that my lips were burning after the first bite, and we had to send it back. Pretty sure all they did was dump off the spicy butter, and replace it with less spicy butter because the food was still coated in spice, and the seafood was in a pile all pell mell. At no point did anyone offer to replace the food, or did a manager come speak with us even after we repeatedly told the server our food was still too spicy, and not very good. All in all, it was an expensive and low quality meal. We should have just gone to Clesi’s. Save your money and your time, don’t go here.
Very good. Would go back again
Good food and a view of Magazine Street from most tables. Would definitely visit again.
