Seafood boils are a tradition in Louisiana, and we’re adding to this flavorful part of our culture with our restaurant in NOLA’s Garden District. Hieu, the man who started BOIL Seafood House, grew up fishing for shrimp and crawfish, and he’s eager to share his passion for cooking up fresh catches. At our restaurant, you start by picking your seafood, your flavor, and then choosing your heat level. Then you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy your meal with everyone else who’s gathered around the table. It’s just like a backyard boil except for the fact that the food, cocktails, and craft beer never end. Bring your friends. Bring your appetites. It’s time to eat!

Waitress was not knowledgeable about the food I asked what kind of clams they had and she said she did not know but did not bother to go ask. My food came out cold and the picture showed large shrimp in the pasta but they were definitely bay shrimp. The picture also showed two pieces of bread I got one dry little slice of a baguette not worth eating. Never got my water refilled and I asked about the dessert and they did not have any that day. Really clueless staff and management. They also could not accept anything but cash get into the modern world. Would never go there again.

Celebrating Mother’s Day with my wife and 83 year old mother in law. I picked this restaurant because my friend of many many years had his legendary music store in the same building that this restaurant is now located in. I made a reservation and wanted outdoor seating. I was excited to go to the balcony but very disappointed sitting directly in the sun at 2:30 in the afternoon with no shade(no umbrella provided at the tables)just being chargrilled like the oysters we ordered, that were ok. Walk ins waited for seating but got seats on the balcony in the shade…’I would have waited for shade versus direct sun any day…so my conclusion here is “reservation= screwed”🦞🦞🦞The decor..the usual couple of murals 🏝🚣🏼‍♂️ seating picnic tables indoors ,small plastic tables on balcony(ambience 🦞🦞🦞)Food service slow, told it was shift change.No physical menu ,not even a disposable paper one.No fun sitting in the blaring sun trying to see a glared phone screen,scrolling up and down trying to read and remember the menu, its very aggravating.Based on prices surely management can afford a wireless printer/copier to print menu’s for those of us that request one.The food nothing to write home about. If you love spice spice spice so called “Cajun” and not flavor, this is your place.Portions of seafood small for the price…fries made up 90% of my plate catfish portion was a half of a filet cut into strips. A $60.00 tray of boiled seafood even worse with portion sizes more like a sampler.Asked for butter for the French Bread and snow crabs and was charged $2.00 for melted butter😱butter is a given in any restaurant. The french bread was room temperature and dry..Not New Orleans warm delish french bread where. butter just melts at first touch and your mouth waters in anticipation of that first bite.NOPE ..Get with the program🤣This is more for the tourist not for the locals. Overall 🦞🦞🦞rating

Definitely get reservations and part attention to the tip programmed in. They also seem to be very understaffed, so don't let your server leave the table until you know you have everything you need. You may not see Tyrell again until your meal is long over. Delicious food, though.

We didn’t discover this place until our next to last night in New Orleans so we went 2nights in a row. I’m not a seafood fan but the crawfish and shrimp boil may have just changed my mind. The house sauce with medium heat was scrumptious, the seafood fresh, the atmosphere & servers made it feel like a party with friends and crawling through a window to the balcony table was fun &unique. A MUST-TRY if you’re going to New Orleans!!

The food was very expensive for the quality and amount of food you got I would have been fine with it but the waiter was rude and very disrespectful it took forever for the food to come out I went to a Asian seafood restaurant and the food came out faster and had good quality and less expensive. Back to the waiter he needs to go work at Chic Fila and receive some skills on customer service.

Outstanding food and great service. Food is a tad bit on the expensive side, but very good. If you are looking for grat authentic cajun food, this is the place to go.

The food could have been great, however they missed the mark. The flavor was good but EVERYTHING was cold. Had it come out hot, I would say 5 stars. It feel like everything was sitting waiting to be scooped out and they forgot to turn on the heat lamps. ** Don't order the specialty drinks unless you have pretty low expectations or unless you just love a mix. Stick to beer or single note drinks.

Great spot and epic meal! Boiled crawfish with all the trimmings plus great shrimp and crab options (and chicken for the 1 non-fish/ seafood eater in our group.

Also, watermelon daquiris on the rocks were a great surprise-- refreshing and not too sweet or chemically!

This place is amazing. The location is awesome. It's a super cool area so you can explore if there's a wait. The food is delicious and our service was great. No complaints. I just wish I would keep eating more seafood right now.

Food was seasoned perfectly. But it’s a lot of work and messy. I felt like we needed more sides. My husband didn’t feel as full as if he had gone and gotten a complete meal. Peeling your own seafood is messy work. Half of the meal is shell. Service was great. Along with the seasonings and sauce. It’s an experience!

The service was quick and the food was great. We enjoyed every single one we ordered. Very tasty and fresh oysters. The bang bang shrimp was a hit. And the taste of New Orleans was very yummy. Will be back again. My favorite go to food place in New Orleans. Shout out to Henry who was very good to us.

Hostess was Rude!!! Our waitress came and introduced herself and we didn’t see her for another 10 mins. Food came and was delivered fabulously.
We sat 30 mins after eating with no drinks waiting for check. When it finally arrived one member of our party had to go inside to have credit card processed.

Exactly what I was looking for in a New Orleans seafood boil. Eclectic little restaurant in the Garden District, fun and friendly service, amazing seafood options, and plenty of beverage options. I will visit again the next time I'm in town.

Worst meal in NOLA! Checked in with our reservation and waited over 30 minutes. I went back again and the girl says, “oh sorry, I forgot about you”. Whaaaaa!?!? 80% clam shells missing clams, snow crabs tasted stale and had hardly any meat, and crawfish was hit and miss. Not ever going back

Service was horrible - waited for approx 20 minutes for server to even greet us and then had to get up and check on drinks after another 20 minute wait. Food came out at different times - ordered 2 appetizers and stated they were to be served as a meal with the other 2 orders. Appetizers came out first and when the other food arrived, once one person had already eaten, it was cold - literally the sausage and corn were not even lukewarm. Also, there were no potatoes in the boil. We were informed, once we asked where the potatoes were, that the kitchen ran out of potatoes. We asked to speak with a manager and were informed the manager was too busy. We ended up sending food back and leaving without eating. Reservations were for 9:00 and we left at 10:30 without eating. We are very understanding of kitchen issues because I own a small restaurant so we allow for super busy times and hiccups that may happen, however, when we can’t even get a manager to speak to us, that is unacceptable. We were told by the server the buckets could be reheated - for $55 each, it should be remade, not redumped in hot water once the seafood has already been boiled and tossed in the seasoning. Very disappointed because we heard good things about this place and not only was it bad from food standpoint, the service was equally bad. Shame on management for being “too busy”.

We only had boiled crawfish-garlic butter, Cajun, and Boil House- and they were spectacular. The highlight of our weekend trip to Nola. Definitely will be back for more.
