Boil Seafood House
I had been there in October 2020 and the food was great! Went to visit again now in February 2021 and it seems that it has been sold and the quality is simply not there anymore. This time we were a party of 9 They got our order wrong twice, server was MIA most of the time, and they were out of mostly all seafood items. Definitely will not be going back. It’s truly a shame because it was a good place with good food.
Best BOIL we've ever had! We had their Cajun boil and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Great Hurricane too!
Where do I begin? So, let’s rewind to the previous night (February 27th). My significant other and I was visiting from out of town. We both wanted seafood so tried we decided to try the Seafood Boil House. Once arriving we approached the hostess. We were asked did we have reservations and we answered no. We were then told the wait was about an hour and we was fine with that. However, one hour turned into two and the hostess wanted to give us an small table by the door. So we decided to leave and try back the next day. Now, it’s the next day February 28th and I made reservations for this day. I walked to the hostess gave her my name and she replied “oh”. We then had to wait an additional 30 minutes although we had reservations. The manager, cooks, and waitresses were all out on smoke breaks and which is why they could not produce adequate service. The manager asked how long have we been waiting and I tell him, he then proceeds to flick a cigarette with no care in the world. To make matters worst the food was warm, the server added his own tip to our tab ( we had to decline it), and the hostess tried to sit us directly next to a group with no regards to COVID 19! This place use to be good but with the service they have now, it’ll go down quickly! February 28th was my last day ever eating from them and when I visit New Orleans again I’ll be looking for another seafood spot. The service and food was horrible! They need to do better and focus on customer service rather than smoking cigarettes! I was very disappointed.
Food was great, hot and well seasoned. Service was also great, and drinks were awesome.
Will eat there on every trip the the Big Easy from now on!
Great first time experience. My husband and I were looking for an authentic Cajun seafood boil and this was it!! Great other dishes and appetizers but we are still craving another boil!!
This was our first return for crawfish since last year and Boil is still wonderful. The crawfish is delicious and we added corn, potatoes, mushrooms, and sausage. Our server Lisa was just great. Will definitely be back when we get our next crawfish craving. And, we don't have to clean up the mess left after eating!
When early on a Tuesday evening. 6 PM. Unfortunately it seemed they had only one server on staff. Drinks took over 20 minutes to receive and when they brought it they told my friend they couldn’t make her dirty martini so they made her something else instead. Which she didn’t want. Then she asked for a glass of Chardonnay and they said they did not have wine... not that they didn’t serve it, they just didn’t have any available. Employees were very nice, but it was a bit disappointing when you’re spending about $100 a head.
We had The Shack Boil & it was great & service was great. They were out of several menu items...
Service was terrible. Waitress didn't know menu well enough to tell us how to get what we wanted. Did not offer options. Felt rushed and ignored when I was trying to order. Go to a boiled seafood place and get seafood the whole idea of this restaurant is a joke. Overcharging for something you can get everywhere in New Orleans
The food and the service was great not to loud or anything very good 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The service and food were amazing! It was fresh and encompassed everything that dining in NOLA is about. We will definitely be going back!
great food! definitely recommend.
Great experience great food great waitress. We reserved a table for my daughter’s birthday and it was perfect 😍
Me and my family loved it was great
Amazing food- and totally price appropriate. Service was a little slow but with covid regs, I’m sure they’re doing their best!
I love the chargrilled oysters. I did not like the shrimp poboy at all.
Both host sucked. We made reservation online showed up on time no isUnorganized
Food was pretty bland. Service was really good. Kinda pricey for the value. Probably won’t return.
love this place!!! the service and food were great
Absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back. Next time will be all dressed up.
They were running behind and we got seated 45 minutes after our reserved table time which was frustrating. Other than that 5 stars. Waitress was great food great.
The service was outstanding and I would recommend the server I had she was fantastic, explained all the items detailed. She was a pleasure to have as a server!!!!!!!!!
Great food, fun place to eat with friends. Friendly service
Great service and amazing food
Food was amazing service was great drinks delicious
The boiled seafood wasn’t what we expected. Extremely oily and shrimp was slimy.
Our server Jo-Jo made the experience so fun! The recommendations were spot on and I’m so glad we decided on this place.
Best boil in NOLA!
Boil Seafood House was the best seafood I’ve had in New Orleans!
Food was really good! And service was great!
If you are looking for boiled seafood this is not the place. It was as if everything was just steamed and then they pour a greasy strange butter like seasoning over everything.
Although the food was very good, I did get sick a little after eating there. Everyone at the table pretty much had the same thing so I think it might have been the boiled shrimp, which I ate most of.
Also, the wine was very overpriced.
Amazing staff! Super friendly and awesome food! Would highly recommend!!
Decided to try Boil Seafood out for my birthday. The service was really good. The price was a bit high compared to other places in New Orleans but the food was good.
Delicious! My kids loved it here as well. Great service!
I made 9:30 reservations to checkout this restaurant while visiting from out of town. I arrived at exactly 9:31pm, and was greeted by the hostess with “We won’t be able to seat you because your reservation was for 9:30, but you can sit at the bar if you like, but the kitchen closes in 5 minutes”. I was taken aback by the poor customer service, and quickly asked some probing questions to understand why the business allowed me to schedule a reservation at that time knowing this information. She quickly shifted gears and withdrew her initial positioning statement, and seated us at a table for service. The waiter that was assigned to us was extremely pleasant and was able to make us feel comfortable and assured us we will be able to eat and enjoy our experience. The food was good, but I will never eat here or recommend this restaurant to any of my friends or colleagues.
The food was ok and the meal was expensive I think the prices should go down and switch up sauce
just a little pricy but the food is good. service was great
