Boil Seafood House
Food was soooo good.
Sad that tourists think this is real New Orleans food. Terrible food, ok service. Dirty restaurant.
We had the best waiter ever. Never asked for her name but it was a white girl with blueish gray eyes on the second level. Food was amazing
Everything was great! My boyfriend and I love the staff and the environment that BOIL house has!
Ceiling had leaks over table
Management needs to fix this issue
We overall had a pretty good experience but out biggest issue is that we sat under a ac vent which constantly leaked water on us and our table the entire time of the meal. We had to constantly keep wiping up the water off the table and us. We could not move to another table as the restaurant was pretty full and we had a party of 6.
I will make a point to return to this restaurant when I am in New Orleans again. Loved the food, best boil I have ever had!
Amazing platters here. Everything is so flavorful.
Good was good. Our server Jojo was excellent. Very small restaurant. Make sure to make a reservation if you don’t want to wait.
We made a reservation at 8:30 and watched as the hostess sat walk-ins for 10 minutes before us. We finally got sat and we waited for a waitress to bring us water or even tell us that they would be with us in a minute. No one came. After 30 minutes of just sitting there we left. The staff was unkempt, and running around with too much urgency for the level of people that were in the place. There was waitstaff standing at the bar and the hostess running around acting like an ER doctor running into surgery. It was one of the worst experiences in a restaurant.
Had the Shack boil. It was great. The boils house salad was very nice too.
Waiter was ok.
Table was wobbly.
Food and service both were really good. I would definitely go again. I would recommend making a reservation if possible to shorten or eliminate the wait time.
Appetizers came out with dinner and were cold. Waiter took apps to have redone and manager came over and said they don't recook anything and nothing she could do. Then came back and said she got approval to take off our bill. Not a good experience. So many better places in New Orleans that we ate at!
We had a great time! Everything was wonderful. We were even sat earlier than our reservation time. Food was amazing.
Make sure that you make a reservation for this restaurant, I can see why it fills up fast! The food is really delicious!
The food was fantastic! The flavors, the quality were more than we expected! The service exceptional. Not only will I recommend. I will go back, when in Nola!
The hostess southern hospitality was non existent she was horrible she didn’t even want to sit us she argue. with us just straight rude and we were from out of town! Our reservation was for 930 she told us the kitchen closed at 930 come to find out the kitchen closed at 945 and she was rude to us. The food and drink was good. The waiter must have had his head in the clouds he was a bit clueless and not helpful. I will find a better place next time.
We got a little of everything and were so glad that we did. Laidback atmosphere and simple but delicious seafood. Make sure to get The Feast.
Excellent spot to get a seafood boil. Very reasonable! Our server Felix was so nice, even showed us how to properly peel crawfish.
Food and service with our waiter, JoJo were absolutely phenomenal! A must visit for a tasty Vietnamese Creole seafood fusion.
Use to be my favorite restaurant but yesterday I spent $400 on my family of six to have to eat crab legs and lobster with no crab crackers. Management should mention that when we’re ordering. Complained until finally, when we were done they brought us one pair of crackers. Terrible idea to serve food for which you cannot eat without the proper utensils.
We were delighted with our Crayfish, Shrimp and Crab boil. Everything was delicious -
The service was excellent and the lobster and shrimp out of this world.
So good !! Definitely recommend
Staff was wonderful. Food was great!
Excellent food and the atmosphere was second to none. Would highly recommend.
We ordered dungeness crab and king crab. The dungeness crab was delicious but the king crab's shell was extremely hard to get into. The shell was so soft it would bend in half and could not crack open with the crackers. When I asked the waitress how to open the pliable shell she suggested a knife. She brought a butter knife that I had to jam into the king crab and then peel the shell from the meat (very difficult). The meat was not full and delicious as I have had before. For such a high price per pound I would have thought the king crab should have been served better or they should have replaced it instead of me struggling to get the meat out.
Absolute best Cajun Boil I’ve ever eaten and I have eaten many. Great service and experience.
The staff was friendly and attentive! I enjoyed my dining experience there! Will definitely return!
Waitress was not knowledgeable about the food I asked what kind of clams they had and she said she did not know but did not bother to go ask. My food came out cold and the picture showed large shrimp in the pasta but they were definitely bay shrimp. The picture also showed two pieces of bread I got one dry little slice of a baguette not worth eating. Never got my water refilled and I asked about the dessert and they did not have any that day. Really clueless staff and management. They also could not accept anything but cash get into the modern world. Would never go there again.
Celebrating Mother’s Day with my wife and 83 year old mother in law. I picked this restaurant because my friend of many many years had his legendary music store in the same building that this restaurant is now located in. I made a reservation and wanted outdoor seating. I was excited to go to the balcony but very disappointed sitting directly in the sun at 2:30 in the afternoon with no shade(no umbrella provided at the tables)just being chargrilled like the oysters we ordered, that were ok. Walk ins waited for seating but got seats on the balcony in the shade…’I would have waited for shade versus direct sun any day…so my conclusion here is “reservation= screwed”🦞🦞🦞The decor..the usual couple of murals 🏝🚣🏼♂️ seating picnic tables indoors ,small plastic tables on balcony(ambience 🦞🦞🦞)Food service slow, told it was shift change. No physical menu ,not even a disposable paper one.No fun sitting in the blaring sun trying to see a glared phone screen, scrolling up and down trying to read and remember the menu, its very aggravating.Based on prices surely management can afford a wireless printer/copier to print menu’s for those of us that request one.The food nothing to write home about. If you love spice spice spice so called “Cajun” and not flavor, this is your place.Portions of seafood small for the price…fries made up 90% of my plate catfish portion was a half of a filet cut into strips. A $60.00 tray of boiled seafood even worse with portion sizes more like a sampler.Asked for butter for the French Bread and snow crabs and was charged $2.00 for melted butter😱butter is a given in any restaurant. The french bread was room temperature and dry..Not New Orleans warm delish french bread where. butter just melts at first touch and your mouth waters in anticipation of that first bite.NOPE ..Get with the program🤣This is more for the tourist not for the locals. Overall 🦞🦞🦞rating
Should have taken pics…
Great but the food wasn’t worth that much.
Definitely get reservations and part attention to the tip programmed in. They also seem to be very understaffed, so don't let your server leave the table until you know you have everything you need. You may not see Tyrell again until your meal is long over. Delicious food, though.
Too expensive for quality of food. Waitress wasn’t friendly and our table was dirty. Had to get a waitress to clean our area.
We didn’t discover this place until our next to last night in New Orleans so we went 2nights in a row. I’m not a seafood fan but the crawfish and shrimp boil may have just changed my mind. The house sauce with medium heat was scrumptious, the seafood fresh, the atmosphere & servers made it feel like a party with friends and crawling through a window to the balcony table was fun &unique. A MUST-TRY if you’re going to New Orleans!!
it’s was a very good first experience
It was so good we went back before heading back home. Delicious food!
