BOCA Restobar & Grill
Cute date spot. Service is leisurely so it’s not an in and out ordeal but I like that. Food is always excellent.
From the moment we stepped in, the Argentinian vibe was very much felt - welcoming, warm, cozy, and vibrant. Then there was our waiter/server who never paid attention to us, seemed like always in a hurry hearing our orders, and just didn’t have the time to care about us, how our food was, if we wanted desserts, and even forgot to bring us our wines. Yet, he managed to take time to listen and chat with the people at the bar. His service was horrible that it made a NYE dinner date not the experience we really hoped for.
Ceviche was tasteless. Steak was severely undercooked. To the point that it was gelatinous. Looked under a light and that baby was less seared than an ahi tuna steak. But the salsa side was great. Service was great.
Absolutely love the atmosphere! Our server was very helpful and every dish was delish! Will definitely come again
Greeted right away and promptly seated. Difficult to read menu (dark in restaurant.) order taken quickly. Quality of food and wine by glass average. Not worth the price in my opinion.
Best steak ever! I was craving the Argentine vibe and food and they hit all
Excellent food and service, especially given that we arrived just as the kitchen was closing. On the downside is that the ambient music plays way too loud.
Great food--everyone was happy! Awesome service from Carlos. Fantastic sangria recipe--not too sweet! Loved the music though a smidge loud for conversation. We'll be back!
First off, the food and the service was excellent. These are the two most important things to a good dinner, in my opinion. If I could remember the gentleman's name, I would call him out for exemplary service.
The reason for the mark down was two fold. I made a reservation on open table and they did not have my reservation. I had to prove it and then was simply seated where available. The other is that while the music is energetic which I don't mind, it was near impossible to carry on a clear and consistent conversation with my dinner guest. I'm good with the music, just lower it a bit.
Awesome. My favorite restaurant in seattle.
Great location with tasty food. Music was way too loud but everything else was great.
Closet friends out having a wonderful dinner in Capitol Hill. The food was amazing and the price was incredible. The music was way too loud. We asked for them to turn it down and they turned it down a little but it didn’t make much of a difference… It’s really hard to enjoy the people that you’re with and have a conversation.
Pretty good food, but not necessarily a great value. There was a mixup with our reservation through opentable app. It has a very energetic vibe
My friends and I went for restaurant week and unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations. The shrimp appetizer and steak entree were good however!
Food: large portions and very flavorful (strong use of garlic). Recommend the langostinos if you like seafood and garlic!
Price: reasonable for quality and quantity; we went for SRW21 but they have good HH prices and even the standard menu is fair.
Service: friendly but a bit disorganized and slow.
Atmosphere: interesting dimly lit (with small chandelier light fixtures) eclectic feel but music a bit too loud for conversation
Transportation: ideal for taking a bus, walking, biking, or using Lyft/Uber; not so great for driving (paid and unpaid parking is limited in Cap Hill)
Excellent food, lots of flavor, great portions for price. Great ambiance, lots of audible chatter with music in the background.
The price is more than right. It is a small venue and noisy. The service was great with our waiter recommendations above excellent. And the PRICE!
The grilled octopus here was outstanding. I’ll be back for that. My son and husband enjoyed theirs too. Wine by the glass was reasonably priced and good. The waiter and the bartender did a great job taking care of the whole restaurant by themselves. Cute atmosphere and fun people watching.
The food was amazing, so good! I definitely recommend this place when visiting Seattle.
Love the food and the atmosphere!
It was my first time there and food was fantastic. Steak was cooked to perfection and I definitely left satisfied of from my meal. I will recommend to my friends and family back in San Diego to come
Food was really good and enjoyed the vibes. A little loud but no problems there. Will deff go back
Fantastic food and ambiance!
Food was excellent but would never return because of the noise level.
The service was excellent , the music was uncomfortably loud especially since it was quite early and there were few other patrons . Perhaps as the volume could be less intense for 5:30 in the afternoon. I have dined here before and it was fine, there was even dancing and excellent energy. The music was pumping and it worked. So I will be back
Loved the food and atmosphere, the service was excellent. The only thing, which was pretty minor, was the music was just a touch too loud, so it was hard to hear one another, had to talk pretty loud. Otherwise - excellent food!
Pandemic review; hostess greeted us and we gave our name for the reservation. She informed us they were short staffed and it would be a few minutes. We were sat 5 min later for our 7pm table. First person came by to check at 7:27, just to give you an idea of pacing. Food was mediocre. I lived in Argentina and this was hardly good Argentinian food. Steaks were not cooked in the Asado style as is traditional, the chimichurri and empanadas were maybe a 2/5. Ambiance and decor were great and reminiscent of BA; the interior colors were just like being back in the Boca.
Everything was good, especially the empanadas!
Great Argentinian food with a really cool vibe.
They almost wouldn’t take our reservation for 6 people. We ended up having to wait 15+ mins for a table and service was close to non existent. Food was good. Steak was a bit salty. Music was way too loud - it felt like you were shouting to speak. I couldn’t hear some people at the other end of the table. Probably wouldn’t return even if food was okay, service really turned it off for us.
A colorful but noisy experience where the food is very good and the people friendly. Word of advice - request a booth if reserving in advance.
Only bad thing they do not respect reservations
I liked the food - unique in it’s flavor and taste! Full points there. I loved the cocktail too.
Ambiance is slightly off putting, but only slightly.
I think this restaurant is suffering growing pains as evidenced by the level of service and food quality. We dined three courses and would have shared dessert, but they gave us the check without asking if we wanted any. In a few months, it might be worth going back to try again. Loved the ambience, decor, and empanadas.
Wonderful food and a very welcoming atmosphere!
They let us book reservation on OpenTable but wouldn't take us. I appreciate that they let us order takeout instead
Great service, and amazing food!
Loud music, so loud we could barely hold a conversation. They didn’t have enough servers so we had to wait a bit. Food was ok for the price, reasonable value. I won’t return because of the noise.
The staff we’re friendly in spite of being slammed and not having too much help because of work shortages and then pandemic. The bartender made luscious cocktails and the kitchen fantastic dinners.
