BOCA Restobar & Grill
A colorful but noisy experience where the food is very good and the people friendly. Word of advice - request a booth if reserving in advance.
I liked the food - unique in it’s flavor and taste! Full points there. I loved the cocktail too.
Ambiance is slightly off putting, but only slightly.
I think this restaurant is suffering growing pains as evidenced by the level of service and food quality. We dined three courses and would have shared dessert, but they gave us the check without asking if we wanted any. In a few months, it might be worth going back to try again. Loved the ambience, decor, and empanadas.
Wonderful food and a very welcoming atmosphere!
They let us book reservation on OpenTable but wouldn't take us. I appreciate that they let us order takeout instead
Great service, and amazing food!
Loud music, so loud we could barely hold a conversation. They didn’t have enough servers so we had to wait a bit. Food was ok for the price, reasonable value. I won’t return because of the noise.
The staff we’re friendly in spite of being slammed and not having too much help because of work shortages and then pandemic. The bartender made luscious cocktails and the kitchen fantastic dinners.
Great return to dining after confinement. Food was tasty and the waiters (only two who also bussed and bartended) were busting their butts to accommodate everyone. Good job!
Excelente biografía y muy buena comida.. recomiendo el cordero
Food was great. Ambiance was nice. Music was a bit loud to my ears. Online menu prices need to be updated, final bill was different than posted prices for cocktails.
Apparently now open table reservations can be made after 3pm. Please keep that in mind the owner had some frustrations with that. We waited out the time and the food was worth it.
Great place to eat. Good vibe. Great food. Better drinks. If I had a nit to pick it would be that the table legs were uneven, but who cares?! Will eat there again
We didn't even get the chance to give BOCA a more accurate review because they wouldn't honor our reservation. Showed up only to be told they're having issues with online reservations, have done for a couple months, and the owner's not fixed it. There are far easier ways to receive crappy reviews but turning away customers because of lazy incompetence takes the cake.
Also, OpenTable, you suck. Couldn't find another restaurant through your app because there was no way to let you guys know we'd been turned away and needed an alternative.
We had reservations for a party of 2 and were seated promptly by the waiter (who pointed to the table) but we ended up having to wait 15 mins for server to come back and take our food and drink orders and bring water (place wasn’t packed at this time and no new customers had arrived at this point). 1 hour had passed and still no food (we ordered 1 shrimp app and 1 ribeye steak cooked to medium) however, other larger parties who arrived after us had received their food. When we asked the server he said, “let me check”. Came back and asked what our order was and said it’ll be out shortly. 30 mins later our food finally arrived (seems as though they forgot). The trend continued when waiting for our check. I wish this establishment all the best but I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Food delicious - staff was lovely. Music was too loud
Way too noisy place and quite slow service. On the other hand, the food was good.
Booked a reservation for 3-people on Open Table. When we arrived, they had nothing open. Apparently, they neglected to check Open Table reservations. We had to leave and find another restaurant. Very poor on their part. No accommodation for their mistake.
Awesome night out with friends! Hector’s drinks are the best :)
They did not have a table for us although we reserved ahead with open table.
Great food! Great ambience, great customer service!
Great Argentinean food and cozy place with a bar scene. Loved the finishing touches of the famous Argentinean soccer legends (won't spoil it, but any true fans will easily point out the top two strikers for Argentina). Ambience was busy and energetic, which is expected given it's right on Broadway Ave E. Go for the food and the energy!
Tried Open Table celebrating my husband's 80th B-Day. Enjoyed the vibe, great menu choices and tasty, generous portions. Seasoning was perfect, as was presentation! The flan was the best we ever had. Hector outdid himself serving! We will be back another time.
Excellent food. Steaks were high quality with delicious preparation. Sauces excellent also. I enjoyed steak over salad greens, my friend enjoyed it over fries.
Very good service and amazing food. There was an issue with our reservation and the restaurant handled it very well. Steak was a touch salty but despite that, this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to and is reasonably priced.
Food and drinks were absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back for more
I actually think this food changed my life. Please go here. Everything was outstanding, including the house cocktail!
Had a dinner for 4. Food was mediocre/below average. Prawns wasn't too fresh, Paella was soggy, Flan was too sweet, Sweetbread was bitter from burnt flour. Portions was reasonable and decent value for the price.
Service was super slow and took 2 hours to finish a meal for 4 on a Sunday night. Overall, not a restaurant I would recommend or return to.
Caveat: I have very high standards and a food enthusiast - Robuchon is my bar for a 5 star. For those who have lower food standards might find BOCA more acceptable.
Love love love !! We will be back . Marco was so wonderful to talk to ! Service and food were excellent and the vibe was spot on
Excellent food, generous portions. I came with friend for Restaurant Week, and we ended up ordering one of everything on the menu. All of the steak dishes were perfectly cooked, as was the roast chicken, which was moist and flavorful. The flan topped with dulce de leche was phenomenal. I will definitely be back and ha e no trouble recommending this place!
We went to celebrate the settlement of our house. The food was so tasty, the service was very good as well. We would recommend this place.
I think it's probably due to the pandemic but we wanted for 30 min even though we had a reservation and they seemed overwhelmed with service. Food took a while. However, the food was WONDERFUL. So...if you're patient and don't mind the noise of a young busy, vibrant place, you won't be disappointed with the food
Everything we ate was fantastic. The best Octopus I've had in Seattle, smokey and tender, not at all chewy. The steak was amazing with a flavorful chimmichurri. Panna cotta was also the best I've had, perfect texture.
We waited 45 min for appetizers n I’m not kidding; is such a small place n still they were so busy n behind; our server was so vanilla he never smile or say a word others then take our order..
I will not comeback to this place food was ok. N service ok , ambiance ok .. no worth my money or time. There’s others Argentinian restaurants in Seattle that they much better
Lucas is a great server, solo managing the joint at our visit with great poise.
Never got to actually experience the restaurant, had reservations for 1400 today (Easter 2021). Arrived and told they open @ 1700. This is after confirming via text message 48 hours earlier and having a confirmation from OpenTable. Also, terrible homeless situation in the area which would also prevent me from ever attempting to go back. Shame on Boca and shame on OpenTable!
Open table says the restaurant was open on Sunday at 2 Pm so we made the reservation. We got to the place and they open at 5pm.
It was really disappointing that Open table doesn’t have the information ok.
All the food was excellent. The chicharron de ribeye was an excellent introduction for the quality and flavor palate of the meal, with everything beautifully smoky and chimichurri heavy. For entrees, I got a pair of lamb chops, the Cordero, and my partner got their churrasco. Both are great, with arugula side salads and the choice of mashed potatoes and fries. The dessert we got was the panqueque which was essentially two dulce de leches filled crepes. I would recommend everything we got.
Hector was prompt and hospitable. He was attentive to everyone and also made some really tasty beverages. Food was outstanding and memorable.
Great food and great place. Empanadas we’re brilliant.
