Five of us arrived for an early dinner to take advantage of the happy hour, only to be told there's no happy hour in December, which is not mentioned anywhere on the website. That added £60.00 to the bill. Sharing plates, to start, were okay, but nothing special. Most main courses came with Koffman's Chips, which were beakers of soggy potato. Burgers and boa buns were edible, but, again, nothing special. The staff were delightful, but that couldn't make up for a very disappointing and expensive evening.

I have had wonderful service at this place earlier but my last experience was very disappointing. I took a client for a late lunch on Friday afternoon and was met by uninterested staff whose main agenda seemed to kick us out of the place as soon as possible. They kept shuffling around us just waiting us to leave. It was not that we didn't order anything and were wasting time. Interestingly, there were not even too many people waiting to be seated or any other obvious reason for such behavior. It was embarrassing and I doubt I will come back here.

A real oasis in the area. Lovely food and very friendly service. Good place to spend an evening with a varied menu - huge and tasty goats cheese salad was a highlight. Handy for Southwark Theatre Elephant.
