I knew I was in trouble when the host pointed to my table in the dining room without walking us to it. Did it to everyone who entered the dining room. Our Server was attentive and took our drink order. I ordered a cosmo that arrived with an old dried out lime. We started with a clam flatbread that ended up being a raw in the center frozen white pizza not sure where the clams were. We also ordered plain chicken wings, 8 in an order, for $14. The wings were overly deep fried so they were dried out and way over priced. I ordered fusilli with vodka sauce and chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the chicken was chipotle flavored? Not sure what that was about except to say they must use their supply of chopped chicken in the kitchen for various recipes. The other person in my party ordered fish and chips that came with fries. The fries were old, dried out and soggy and the fish was so coated in a greasy batter you couldn’t find it. The server checked in us and could see the fish and chips were pushed aside. She asked if we liked it and we responded NO! She offered to take it off our Bill and we said don’t worry about it, knowing we would never return, but she insisted. She was a great server and concerned that we did not enjoy the meal. She was the only enjoyable part of the meal. I ordered a second cosmo and still the same old dried out limes.
I would not ever recommend this establishment. A complete waste of hard earned money.
The food was delicious and it was nicely decorated to give you those Long Island beach vibes. It was quite loud though but that was because of the live music and the place being quite small, but I would definitely go again and recommend!
Great food and drinks
We absolutely loved our waitress. She was amazing and also training as well. The food was great and we can’t wait to go back.
Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Live music, fun atmosphere. My only critique is that it was pretty crowded, so indoor seating may not be for you if you don’t want to be kinda close to your neighbor, especially during these times.
Thanks for the kind words...we also have a spacious room upstairs....please advise in advance if you feel more than six feet between tables would be more comforting....we are also resuming dinng in our outside tent....we appreciate your comments greatly!
The Blue Goose was excellent. We felt welcomed the minute we walked in.
Wonderful selection of comfort food. Drinks and food delicious.
They have music Fri and Sat eve; which was a nice surprise. Terrific atmosphere you most go.
Thank you for the kind words
Great brunch spot! Delicious breakfast options and unlimited mimosa option. Staff and service was excellent, definitely makes you want to come back. Also had live music while we were
We couldn’t get into any restaurant in Patchogue the night we went out for dinner. We showed up at the blue goose after seeing an absolute packed house and the owner pulled up a special table just for us to make sure we could eat!! Never would’ve picked this restaurant out of a line up before, but now I’m not sure if I can go anywhere else!! This place was absolutely amazing from the food, the drinks, service & they had live music! 10/10 would recommend
Went for brunch. Portions were big, food was delicious, staff was professional and friendly
10/10 recommend. Food was phenomenal
This is a wonderful little place! The food was good and prices were reasonable. It was nice to be back out at an easy-going local pub. I will definitely be going back.
Live Band! Good food! Nice local bar!
Food was awful. Really salty.
Great ambiance ! Food wasn’t great , drinks were very good .
Felt a little rushed, some of the food tasted frozen like flat bread and coconut shrimp
The food was delicious and they had live music too!
This is a bar not a restaurant.
Waiter was very friendly and made good suggestions. Food was yummy. I had the steak sandwich which was delicious and my husband had the linguine with clams and he loved it. It would’ve been nice to have a little breadbasket. For an appetizer we did have coconut shrimp (4) they were good and the sauce had a nice kick to it.
It was all pretty good except we both got lobster and both were rubbery for $42 a pop! The rest was very good though, but the lobster is pretty key in the meal😁
We were warmly greeted and seated promptly......Our waitress was friendly and attentive.......there is a small dining room off the bar area which was fine but I’m assuming it would have been a bit noisier if there weren’t any restrictions (just an observation)......the food was average ......we had two appetizers and shared a dinner for 2.......our main meal was a shrimp with pasta in an Alla Vodka Sauce......the plate was very big and the sauce overwhelmed the pasta and Shrimp.....overall it was a pleasant experience and the pricing was fair .......but if We try it again we may stick to a burger and/or something handheld......
Went on a Friday night. There was a live band playing Dave knight was the name of the singer. We sat at a corner table that was close enough to hear the band while being low enough for conversation. Our server was Jack he has a great personality and was very informative. We had the rib appetizer which was tasty and had an Asian spin. The barge burger, and Rueben with homemade fries were excellent. Asian rice bowl with chicken was tasty although I wish it had a different rice like jasmine I think it would have elevated the dish. The meatloaf was good. The Apple cheesecake taco dessert came with two which was perfect for a sweet tooth. I had one and my friend had the other .Coffee was decent. Will definitely be back. Laid back vibe. Perfect for a night out with friends.
Overall food, service was great Definitely recommend
Overall outstanding dining experience
Local bar restaurant food was good live music was very good. A little overcrowded for the times. The wait staff tried hard to keep everyone in State compliance. But the regulars seem to think they don't have to comply with State rules! Sad part is they will be first to complain after another shutdown.
This place has changed names a few times in the last 15 years. The Owner is hands on. They have live music, Great Drinks, & an excellent Menu with great food. Everyone is friendly, & courteous.
Was our first time here and we will definitely be back! Food was great! Service was great!
Food and price were great
Great night out, everyone following the rules, great food and great staff
Good food. Not overcrowded. Great service. Will return soon
Great menu choices, large portions and very tasty food. The service was excellent; our waiter very friendly and attentive. We had a table in the dining room, but the local crowd at the bar was VERY loud so that was quite distracting, but overall it was a good experience and we would definitely return- hopefully when the particularly shrill woman isn’t there.
The Blue Goose is a fine Bar & Grill. The wait staff did their job. The food was fine, and the prices were reasonable in today climate, with the virus.
If we had sat downstairs noise level would have bothered us. But we sat upstairs and it was great
Loved the food; atmosphere and staff...highly recommend
The food was great and the service was outstanding. We enjoyed our visit for sure.
Very pleasant. Because of Covid19 service was outside under tents. A ZZTop tribute band was playing and were excellent, very entertaining. Overall it was a very good time.
Our waitress was outstanding and the food excellent!!!
Food was delicious and The waitress could not be more attentive! We had a great lunch had a great value!
Came for brunch on Sunday. Food was very good. Everything cooked amazingly. Portions are perfect. Buyer beware on breakfast pizza...it feeds 2-3 people lol. It was amazing. We will be back loved the jazz music when we were sitting outdoors
This is mostly a bar setting. Outdoor seating was a little tight so we sat inside which was quiet. The food was of bar quality, but decent for the price. Menu had good choices, all different kinds of items. Quality was good. The owner/manager was very friendly and appreciative of our patronage. Our server was extremely nice and attentive. We enjoyed the burrata salad for an appetizer and I had the kale/quinoa burger with fries which was very good. My husband had a friend chicken sandwich which he really liked. Would probably go back since they have live music sometimes.
Plentiful lobster in my lobster roll, tasty Bloody Mary and phenomenal jazz band all created a very pleasurable Sunday afternoon.
Delicious food and cocktails. Service was excellent
