Fantastic experience. The food was wonderful, our server was great, the atmosphere felt nicely fancy but still comfortable, and the drinks were delicious! We let them know ahead of time that we were celebrating a week of marriage, and they made us feel very special. Blue Door is one of our new favorites—we’ll definitely be returning!
Burger was good. Everything else was bland.
The food and service were both great. Lots of food choices to please all of us.
Gorgeous space; the service was excellent. Definitely get the cheese curds.
Excellent service so friendly and pleasant. Food was fresh and delicious!
The food was very bad. My eggs Benedict came very overcooked. It was definitely a very underwhelming experience
Food was really great! The atmosphere and service were not. We were seated in the back, the music was loud (interesting playlist. . . Sean Paul into Nickleback) and the service was pretty inattentive. Honestly would have ordered more if our server checked on us.
I ordered the chilaquiles and added a steak. The steak was cooked correctly, but unseasoned. It wasn't worth the extra $10.
Great food, not rushed through the meal and good acoustics.
My salad was missing some ingredients. The atmosphere is wonderful and charming. The service was good.
Had lunch there on a Wednesday afternoon at 11:45a.
My salad was delicious, as always, though. My friend ordered an omelet which was on the small side & served on a large dinner-sized plate with no accoutrements at all. It should have at least had a piece of parsley, some fruit, a piece of toast or SOMETHING.
The service was SO incredibly slow. In fact, it took 20 minutes to get our dessert. The waiter didn't have recommendations, nor did he seem to know the menu well.
I am not sure what is going on, but I am not as eager to recommend Blue Door Farm Stand, at the moment.
Went for brunch--great decor, delish Eggs Benedict, would go again!
Restaurant is beautiful and food was amazing, husband say one of best salmon he has ever eaten
Staff is absolutely the best around. Extremely attentive and accommodating. Many thanks to Allison and Fernando for making the night wonderful!!!
Great food, excellent service and a lovely room. Tables are well spaced and service was friendly and attentive.
Wonderful Mother’s Day brunch in a friendly, bright room with quaint farmhouse decor.
A few menu items I reviewed online before making the reservation were not presented as available on the menu at the restaurant. Regardless, I asked if I could order the adult Mac otherwise someone might take offense and think it was a race issue. Overall, the food was decent, but I wouldn't go back or recommend this place to anyone.
Party of four and 2/4 of us did not like our dishes. Pasta was only "good" because it's overloaded with cheese, burger was sub-par. Brussel sprouts burnt. Service was fine, no real issues. Prices are moderate so I'd go here again very casually but not expect too much.
The chairs were really gross. Other than that, everything was good.
Good food, pretty simple for the money, and definitely a younger crowd/vibe for Sunday brunch with the music pretty loud.
Most of the food was really good- the burgers, veggie burger, sweet potato fries, and cheese curds were delicious. The service was horrendous. Didn’t catch the waiter’s name but he was very slow. 5 of us at dinner. Brought one drink, then two more, a little while later two more. We ordered appetizers right away which came out after the entrees. No apology or acknowledgment that we were halfway done with our meals when the crab cakes and cheese curds came out. Only one of us got his attention long enough to order a second drink. After the plates and drinks were cleared we waited and waited for the bill. Our server was twenty feet away at the bar rolling silverware. Eventually he noticed our stares and came back over with the bill. One of our party had been here before and said the service was much better the previous time, but food wasn’t as good. Won’t be returning because although the food was good- it’s not worth the bad service and the place sounds inconsistent. Too many great places in Chicago to waste time here again.
Cross contamination nightmare. Staff wore the same pair of gloves throughout our time there. Wash your hands and there will be less germ transfer. For example, our waitress checked us in on the iPad, took our order, made drinks at the bar, touched her face, dropped off our food, and ran our credit card all while wearing the same pair of gloves and did the same for nearly every table in the restaurant. The manager and busboy did the same, though the manager did change her gloves a couple of times. Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands.
The food has declined since I was there a year ago. Service was super slow. The seemed terribly short staffed. The chairs were dirty - stained and ripping. Disappointing experience. No longer seems like the little sister of Blue Door Kitchen.
Love the concept of Blue Door Farm Stand and the food was absolutely delicious. Our table was near the front door on a relatively chilly morning, and it was freezing! Especially when the front door was held open for lines. Service was a bit slow, however, our server was super friendly and accommodating.
Delicious as always
Had lunch on Thursday, too
Would like a little less loud
It was great, will go back
Food was delicious. Salads were the best and shared the Amish Chicken.
Two people in our party were sick within an hour after lunch. Food was marginal.
Wonderful lentil vegetable soup and kale salad! Server was terrific.
It was ok!
Over priced for quality of food
Always delicious food! Went for a girls night. This was my first experience going to a busy restaurant during Covid verus ordering in. I felt safe with the distance between tables and the professionalism of the servers.
Great creative menu and good wine/drink list. Great ambience for both ladies day/night out or date night. Excellent neighborhood restaurant.
Umm...very underwhelming. First and foremost, my husband ordered an IPA and I ordered a vodka soda to drink. Originally, our server delivered my husband a mimosa instead of the IPA he had ordered, no big deal mistakes happen. It was rectified and all was well. My vodka soda however, I could not drink. It was a tequila water, which is a no from me.
As for entrees, I got the farm Cobb salad and my husband got their burger with sweet potato fries. We also shared a side of Mac and cheese. Honestly, the sweet potato fries were the best thing we ate that night. The burger was over cooked and underwhelming, Mac and cheese was basically just milk with very little cheese flavor, and my Cobb salad was very standard. I did receive about 1/2 of a whole chicken with my salad though, so I guess if you like meat you’ll like that salad lol, but otherwise again I could have made it myself at home, nothing special.
We also did get the key lime pie to go, which was pretty good!
Overall, I wouldn’t return. It’s not a very cheap restaurant, so was expecting much more out of the food. Wouldn’t recommend it here.
Great service. Love the vibe. Food was good!
Food was very good, waiter was a little slow moving..overall a good experience.
the food was AMAZING. all of the flavors, sauces, and portions were perfect and we will definitely be returning to this cute spot soon.
On a rainy day, the restaurant was still bright and lively.
The service was incredible, our waiter was great and very respectful, but the busser who took care of our water, clearing plates, bringing clean plates and silverware AND bringing us the food was PHENOMENAL! Continuously check in on us and provided great service. 5 start for him alone!
Excellent food and service. We'll definitely go back again.
Easter brunch - the food was good but I expected a more tailored Easter bruncb
The restaurant was Nice for casual dining or a date night. The food was good but it could’ve been just a little bit better. Overall it was a good visit. I would recommend
