Amazing overall experience
The steaks were a little bland. Dishes were missing sides, appetizer dip served with no bread. Not a huge deal
Staffing issues are plaguing the industry right now
They need a chef that knows how to cook steaks and seafood. The place itself is gorgeous. It's the same owners as Dante's in the same plaza. The food there is always good. I'm sure this place will be phenomenal once staffing isn't such an issue. Drinks were very slow to the table. Not the servers fault. Bartender wouldn't stop talking long enough to make drinks.
We will definitely try it again at some point. This place has tons of potential
Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I love the lighting at BluWave Lobster House...very flattering and subdued but enough light. The decor is gorgeous and love the ambiance. Very welcoming and friendly service and an excellent menu, reasonably priced. The bar is beautiful and a great bartender who knows how to mix drinks.
Food was very good. Place is too noisy, could never sit in main dining, even front tables distracted by the noise.
Great ambiance, nice drink menu. Presentation great with excellent choices. Mixed berry cake outstanding.
Probably better when they have their full menu available. Not sure if it’s the time of the year, fewer diners or suppliers. Our waitress acted uninterested. Maybe she was
bored. Decor was beautiful and I’d certainly give it another try.
This was our first visit to the Bluwave Lobster House and we were so impressed that we plan to come back soon! The setting is contemporary and fun, the service outstanding (Kudos to Stella), and the food great! We sat at a table overlooking the kitchen and it was quite interesting. For starters we had Oysters Rockefeller (The best I've ever had!) and Conch Fritters that were perfectly fried and more tender than expected. Great crunch, heat, and taste. Followed this with a beet salad that had a combination of beets, arugula, mandarin oranges, and pickled onion, with a citrus vinaigrette and pistachios and pumpkin seeds--very tasty. My companions raved about their lobster bisque. I was allowed a taste, and enjoyed it, very smooth and flavorful with just a hint of nutmeg. For dinner I had the grilled shrimp and scallops on a bed of pasta with beurre blanc. If there was any weakness, the shrimp were a bit overgrilled--not enough to send back, but a little dry. It didn't take away from my rating and Stella took my minor criticism graciously. We finally decided to take a piece of Key Lime Cake home for snacking later--it was very good, and Stella, again, very graciously comped the cake although we were willing to pay for it. It was an outstanding culinary experience, and much better than we had expected. I was also impressed with the entire staff. Loved that the hostess opened the door for us when we were entering and leaving the restaurant. We can't wait to go back!
Oh my goodness. What a dining experience. My better half had the Chilean Sea Bass and I had the Sea Scallops. Both were absolutely incredible. Probably top 3 seafood dinners I've had, same for her. We joked that between a Nike store and an underwear store we had one of the best meals of our lives. Don't miss this place while in the area.
Good food - Nice ambiance
Second visit and they were out of several entries by 7 pm…. both times
fresh food great place Tiffany was amazing. Wish they had a meat app
Everything was wonderful ...especially sides that were increased in fiber content not just potatoes or more carbs. Music was unpleasant and interfered with conversation. Was impressed with size and preparation of filet. Lobster tail was one of best have had in the area. Overall a great experience for our 58th anniversary. Plan to come back with plugs.
The food was wonderful but very disappointed that staff did not wear face masks. The website said they did. Made us question how safe they are in other areas. Will not go back until COVID is under control.
Would not recommend at this time due to lack of masks.
I have been a regular customer. of This restaurant ever since it opened.
I noticed that the quality of foods falling off a little bit. Serving size had gotten reduced. We took some friends of ours. Another couple to this restaurant for dinner. My girlfriend had receive 20% off coupons in the mail, and as I read it, it said off of the entire bill. So did the other couple read it that away. But in small print somewhere it said on the entrée only, this coupon misled us, and the way they handled it did not make us feel like we would want to come back again. I probably have spent a over thousand dollars there since it's open, I most likely won't go back.
It's gimmicks like this that this world is full of it's time for it to stop. You guys had a great restaurant, when it first open. It was awesome. Never some manager there. That was all over it. But I'm afraid it's not that away anymore. No I would not recommend it.
Great restaurant!! Ive been there a few times and the food is always fresh and the service is great. The bar is cool and the restaurant is spotless.
Recommended by a friend… looked forward to it all week - did not disappoint! Lovely evening all around, we will definitely be back!
Great food. Too loud to carry a conversation.
This was our first experience with this restaurant and we would definitely return. It was a bit more casual than we anticipated however the service, food and overall value was outstanding. Which makes us want to return. This is a neighborhood gem and that you should definitely find time to visit. They take reservations which on a busy Saturday night was very helpful. Highly recommend the oysters and lobster.
NO masks eased by any employees.
The lobster was a little pricey but delicious. Did not like the bread. Should have a choice of bread without raisins/cranberries. Need more selections of sides. Kind of strange to have a choice of red skin or fingerling potatoes and they both tasted the same. What about baked or mashed? Would like to try other dishes sometime when I can spend that much agein
We had an early reservation, 4pm right when they opened. It was a Friday but there was heavy rain so it was slow and quiet. This was our first time here. We will be back! Oscar our waiter was awesome. The food was fresh and amazing. The drinks were fantastic! This is a gem in our area and I cannot say enough praise for this restaurant. Absolutely delicious and service top notch! You will not be disappointed. I had Grouper with corn risotto and veggies (carrots and green beans) - absolute delicious!! We did start with the calamari and mussels/clams which both were fantastic. My niece had the lobster Mac n cheese, and my sister&son had snow crab legs. No one went home hungry and again, simply delicious.
Had a great time the bartender, I don’t remember his name, was great!
Great food, cool atmosphere!!
We got the lobster roll, and truffle lobster mac— both super delicious and fresh. The mac portion is pretty large, and could be split between two people. Service is a bit slower, definitely consider making a reservation in advance.
They’re crooks. I ordered a 11/2 lb lobster & was served a lobster that was less 1 1/4 lb . The manager insisted he weighed it himself. A big disappointment.
Food was mediocre, warm, but not hot. Overpriced!
2nd visit; excellent food preparation, craft drinks, and friendly service.
First make sure you make reservations. We had reservations and were quickly seated service was great. Oyster Rockerfellows fabulous then had king and snow crab delicious and they came with ear of corn and potatoes. Really enjoyed dinner and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food is pricey but worth the cost. Will definitely be back.
This was our second dining experience at the Blu Wave Lobster House. We had some of the same items that we dined on and enjoyed from our first experience. I am concerned that the consistency in the items chosen was not up to the same level as our first experience.
Excellent service ambiance and menu. To repeat for sure!
The manager was great, the server was poor. The dishes were hit and miss. Way too noisy.
I would recommend Blue Wave Lobster to friends and family. The atmosphere, excellent service, fabulous food, and care that the establishment takes to provide a memorable dining experience is something that we don't see too much anymore. Blue Wave Lobster succeeded expectations. Thank you for making our 29th wedding anniversary memorable.
Our first visit and we will return. Light, airy and soothing atmosphere. Huge glassed in kitchen where you can view the master chefs at work. Service was very attentive. Food was outstanding. If there is something on their menu you have your heart set on, I advise you call first, they were out of several items at 5:30 on a Thursday.
What we did order was outstanding. Conch fritter and jumbo crab cape appetizers were both amazing. Conch fritters in a light cornmeal crust and full of conch. Crab cake mostly crabmeat with very light breading (panko probably) to hold it together.
2 lb. lobster and Bluwave Fry platter followed. Lobster steamed and fresh. Fry platter included two huge shrimp, lobster tail, haddock, clam strips, hush puppies and a chunky, delightfully surprising slaw with mango, pineapple, carrots, cabbage with a hint of a light dressing. Mixed berry cake was light, airy and delicious.
Can't wait to go back
Server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
Food was fantastic but we had a little bit of a wait for our appetizer.
Ambiance was very pleasant.
Price was the best around the area for seafood dishes.
Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere, excellent food. Service was a bit slow from the bar but we will be back
First time we went to Blu Wave in Ft. Myers FL. was about one week ago with another
couple. We chose this restaurant because it came highly recommended. The food
Second time we went with friends and told them the food was delicious.
We were a bit embarassed and disappointed in the dinners. There was 6 of us.
and the dinners were not served to us hot; the lobster chunks served in one dish were
overcooked; and my dinner had whole shrimp in the dish and they were overcooked.
When I complained, the server returned to our table and gave me one shrimp - I repeat one shrimp and said he cooked it himself for me. It was also overcooked. We do not intend to return to this restaurant. I apologized to my friends about bringing them to this restaurant where the dinners are rather expensive and then receive unacceptable dishes. I had ordered the exact same main course I previously had there, which was
delicious and served hot, but this time the same dish I ordered was not very good.
A MUST during a visit to Fr Myers! Awesome food, phenomenal bartenders and service. Started with Hawaiian Tostones & Shrimp and Lobster empanadas. Tostones is a meal in and of itself and delicious. Highly recommend. Not much flavor or lobster in the empanada. Really more like a wonton. Split grouper entree which was phenomenal. opted to sit at bar and received excellent service. Great personalities! Manger also hands on and very personable. Definitely returning in next trip!
Such a surprise to find this restaurant at an Outlet mall. Make a reservation as it is August and most of the tables were full. Will definitely go back
DINNER WITH MY DAUGHTER WAS PERFECT FROM THE HOST TO THE FOOD AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. AWESOME
