I would characterize this as a decent neighborhood restaurant. It was more casual than I was expecting and the food was underwhelming. We ordered the tuna tartar and a salad to begin. The salad description said it had feta but the feta somehow made its way onto our tuna tartar which sort of ruined both dishes. The salad ended up being bland without the cheese and the tartar was too "busy." The tuna tartar, besides being topped with feta cheese, was overdressed and the chef used too much truffle oil because that was the only descrenable flavor other than the feta. My boyfriend enjoyed his lamb but said it wasn't memorable. I had the ceviche as my entree and it was good but the langoustine to avocado ratio was off. I think I got 2 langoustines and 1/2 of an avocado. If you're in Andersonville and are looking for a decent BYO place, Blu 57 is great. If you're looking for a special place to celebrate a big birthday, I recommend going someplace else.

Food was delicious. Ordered an array of appetizers, oysters, deconstructed elote, crab cakes & ahi tuna. All delicious but small in portion. Main courses we ordered the lobster risotto, squid ink pasta, pork chops & salmon. Everything was amazing! Ended with lychee sorbet & they gave us a complimentary birthday tiramisu. Was heavenly. The servers name was Aa & he was phenomenal. Very attentive without being bothersome. Sweetest demeanor & wonderful service. I thought was a little pricey but everything was so good I was ok with it. And we paired everything with the many bottles of wine we brought as it’s BYOB. Very excited I found this hidden gem. Looking forwards to going back!

This was our second dinner here. The food is good, creative and visually pleasing. We had oysters, that should have been kept colder, and the hot sauce bottle they bought out was filthy. Crusted sauce around the cap and sticky on the bottle. We had tuna tartar, very good, but we had to ask for more crisps. The crabcake is also very good. We also had the BBQ duck, good. Our problem this time was our server bought out all the food within 5 minutes of each other. We had asked him to space it out a little. Next time we go we will order one or two items at a time. So glad this restaurant is BYOB.

The food was pretty good, but honestly, the smell in this small restaurant was pretty bad. I assume there was just something in their Grill that smelled and it carried through the restaurant. Overall, given the price, I'm not sure I would go back, food was ok, but nothing worth writing home about if you know what I mean. I liked the BYOB aspect to keep costs down on a pricier meal and the crab cake was good as well.

We were there with my partner's family for his birthday. Our server was attentive and informative. First course came out timely. Food was decent, no real stand outs. Our second course dragged forever. The table seated 15 minutes after us received their main plates before us and they had 3 full courses. We just had two course. When the food arrived, both steaks were very rare, not even warm in the center. They went back to the kitchen and came our well done and dry, since they had over-rested the meat the first time they were served. There was no real check back after that time. I could see the server felt badly. The Bearnaise sauce was gloppy and not even a hint of tarragon which is what differentiates it from Hollandaise. BOTH tables next to us had issues with the food as well. One table was served food they didn't even order. They paid and left after the first course! The room was very cold. The silverware looked like what a diner would use. The stemware was also an inferior quality., and yes, I understand it is BYOB...but the restaurant is not an inexpensive place so the silverware and glassware should mesh. Sadly we won't be back, we were really hoping for something like this in Andersonville

Quaint place, and the servers were really passionate and friendly, but honestly as a restaurant it was a bit slipshod. The menu was disjointed and disorganized, the concept was confused, and the food was "fine" at best. We had room-temperature oysters on coke-machine ice with a few wilted slices of lemon and no other accoutrements. The salads were tasty but nothing that couldn't be done at home. The scallops were beige, the mussels watery, and the shrimp wontons, while tasty, were nothing you wouldn't expect from any standard asian restaurant (but 300% the price). With the disappointing first two courses, we decided to skip the entrees, as that would have tripled our bill (already $150 for just snacks and BYOB). The place is a nice idea, and very friendly, but the quality and value of the food is simply not present.
