BLT Market Ratings and Reviews
As requested by the birthday celebrant, we decided to dine in at BLT Market. The place was empty when we came in and after a while 3 couples came in. Food was awesome! Cook with perfection! Great customer service and very polite servers.
We enjoyed our dinner and if you want to experience a new food taste in your palate, I would recommend this place.
This is my second time dining at BLT Market. The restaurant has beautiful views of the ocean, the park, and Waikiki. Since this is a farm-to-table restaurant, the foods tasted fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, and our waiter, Dalton, was attentive. I would definitely recommend BLT Market.
I am sure a lot of guests may be annoyed or too lazy to leave a comment. However, this is one restaurant where I feel like it may be worth my time to be writing this. Overall, it was a very negative dining experience where we were welcomed with unprofessional service and poor quality food. Most staff presented themselves with an unprofessional attitude, bad facial expression and absolute lack of formality. Will never go back nor recommend to friends/family. This is not some casual neighbourhood restaurant ($). Ritz Carlton should perhaps consider bringing in a much better restaurant chain if they wish to perhaps raise or maintain their standards.
Friendly bar staff. Good cocktails , escargot.
Fabulous waitstaff. Bone in Ribeye was cooked perfectly for us. Charred med/rare
Table side Caesar a must do.
We had a booth for 2.
Husband 1st time and says we will always go back.
Ex-chef stopped by. All good.
Go, you will not be sorry.
We had the five course tasting menu, which was delicious. The service was impeccable, but not stuffy and off-putting. The staff was so friendly and the cocktails unique, but drinkable. It was our anniversary and they couldn't be nicer about making us feel special and pampered. Would definitely go back.
The place was great. Very airy, serene, beautiful view of Honolulu and the ocean. The food was tasty and eye pleasing. We had our last day of vacation dinner there. And I think it was a perfect mix of casual and fancy. Perfect for family dinners or dates. The place suggests more intimate conversations and great wine paired with great fresh flavors. But if you are looking for super bold flavors and vibrant crowd, that will not be a right place.
The food was fantastic. The service was impeccable. As a former fine dining server, (dining with a fine dining manager) I LOVE well executed service. I am horrible with names, but our (lady) server didn't miss a step, quietly ensuring everything we needed arrived before we needed it and disappeared when we didn't. I was in heaven! Thank you
Service was great. Parking was confusing. We were sent to the valet area but no one was there. Ended up parking my car myself to find out I shouldn't have. Restaurant seems to be above the pool so you could hear all of the noise from kids at the pool. Not a bad thing because kids having a great time is a nice noise to hear but not what I expected to accompany a $58 steak.
Wonderful setting. Absolutely beautiful view. Be sure to valet your car. Those are the absolute plusses.
The menu is enticing but the execution could be improved. As could the service. To name one menu item, I totally don't understand their version of a frittata. A fried egg topped with some vegetables??! Lazy kitchen version of the real thing?
Very few diners for Sunday breakfast/brunch - which I like. However after we placed our order, we were forgotten. I had to get up and find someone to simply refill our water glasses. Really?! Such a simple expectation.
I still think it's a delightful venue, but that said, they need to pay closer attention to their menu and guests. Many of us are local and guess what, we really like good food and know it when we see it!
BLT Market is truly one of the very best restaurants in Honolulu. We have dined here regularly since it opened (almost a year ago), and the hospitality that the staff, especially Amanda the GM,
is extraordinary, warm and friendly.
The creations by Chef Johann never cease to delight our palates...and the best part is that he
keeps many of our favorites on the menu, and then changes it up regularly too, depending on
what is freshly available market-wise. Chef Johann is amazingly creative and this last visit
his 'fish 'n chips' was an incredible surprise - light/delicious and quite unusual for what you
would expect and another new dish - short ribs in a pasta pillow with a sauce to 'live for.'
They always have those wonderful Kualoa oysters - which are the sweetest and freshest we
have ever enjoyed and his grilled octopus is another favorite of ours. His new truffled egg
is so yummy, you will want two, for sure. We always like to try a variety of appetizers and then share an entree - but, sometimes it is just too good to share - so we order more than we should and are always, always so happy.
The desserts are also a challenge to choose from, each one just fabulous and satisfying.
As locales - we welcomed this new dining spot - with its stunning view over Ft. DeRussey
and on Fridays you can enjoy the fireworks as well.
We look forward to more enjoyable feasting at BLT Market. We highly recommend
BLT Market to our customers and friends.
We ate here for the Mother's day brunch. Service was very good and Peter, in particular, was outstanding in his kindness, patience, and attentiveness. Folks enjoyed the prime rib, lamb, and seafood. The seafood was very fresh. Pastries were pretty good, though I think I was expecting more. Some of the items (salads, eggs, poke) were a little spicy for a few people in our group. The desserts were nice, though, the item that I really thought was outstanding was the granola(!).
A very good casual restaurant in a great setting above the rooftops in Waikiki. The menu is creative farm to table, certainly among the best if you are limited to Waikiki. The fish was excellent...a great mix of ingredients and good preparation. Starters were also creative and perfect. Unfortunately, the risotto was overdone. Service is friendly and responsive but pretty casual. This is not the upscale steak house experience of sister restaurant BLT steak which also has the great oyster selection and which we loved. But it is a good concept in a much better location.
Be aware, BLT Steak is located in Trump Tower, which for many eliminates it from our list.
We were hoping to have a fabulous breakfast in Waikiki however it didn't turn out that way. The staff were all wonderful, kind and attentive. The food on the other hand was disappointing. The coffee was barely warm, as were our meals. I don't know where the kitchen is but it seems it is far away from the dining room. The one thing that bothered us most was that nothing was served hot. Once again, the staff did their very best to accommodate us but if the food was disappointing.
