Bliss is consistently among San Antonio’s best restaurants in terms of quality, service and atmosphere. Bliss is located just blocks away from downtown San Antonio in the burgeoning Southtown area. Our mission is to express excellence in the most inclusive, genuine and hospitable way. Bliss serves contemporary American cuisine. Our menu changes frequently with an emphasis on what is seasonal and creative over what is predictable and familiar. Our goal is to create a relaxed yet elegant dining experience in a genuine and comfortable environment.
Back patio is open for full service when weather pemits.
Excellent food and service.
Food was delicious, service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect.
This restaurant is fantastic. The food was delicious and service was impeccable. Highly recommend making a reservation as it is a popular spot. This meal was worth every penny. We will definitely be returning next time we visit.
Had a lovely anniversary dinner! Service was amazing and the food was good! Goat cheese cheesecake was amazing!!
Excellent food and service. Food is consistent, and delicious. Always one of my top recommendations for friends looking for a great dinner in San Antonio.
We visited for my fiance's birthday. They print the menus daily so the items are creative and freshly made. The service was outstanding and the food was truly blissful. At first we were a little worried that the portions would be too small and we would leave hungry. However, it turned out to be the perfect amount of food and by the end of the entrees we were pleasantly satisfied; would definitely visit again. We did not order dessert but our server still made sure that my SO felt special when he brought out a bit of house-made chocolate with a candle. They also have a private dining option for big groups so it would be nice for corporate dinners or even a rehearsal dinner.
The ambiance, food, wine, and service were all outstanding. This was our first visit to Bliss; we will definitely return! The arugula salad and halibut were delicious; my husband loved the short ribs. Our waitress was nice without being overbearing. The chocolate bar dessert was a perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
The food wasn't amazing, the branzino was okay but the scallops were not good. The charcuterie board was very good but that's disappointing since you want your entrees to be the food you rave about.
I absolutely loved this place.
I love good restaurants even if they cost a lot.
I absolutely love the food with the minty/bitter vegetables on it. I wasn't sure what it was and I ask someone to tell me, they sent me a chef and he explained everything to me. the service there is so great that I ended up leaving a 33% tip even though I felt the drinks were overpriced. The service Trumped the cost in my eyes.
An excellent place to celebrate an anniversary. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were very knowledgable and attentive. Will certainly plan on coming back to this place again for other special occasions.
Great food and service. One of the best in San Antonio!
Superb restaurant!!! We will definitely return and may even make a special trip from Austin just to eat here. There were 4 of us. We started out with Roderer Estate Champagne and an assortment of small plates - oyster sliders, baked oysters, grilled octopus (my favorite). For our main our course 2 of us had wonderful halibut dishes, and 2 of us had super sea scallops on mash potatoes, accomodating our request to change from scallops/grits. This was accompanied by a French Delaporte Sancerre. For dessert we had pecan pie, loved by all, and goat cheese cheesecake (my favorite). The entire staff was wonderful, with special call-outs for Karen who helped arrange surprise guests, and Gerardo, our principal waiter who took such wonderful care of us.
The service was topnotch. I have absolutely no complaints on that! However the filet and bland, needed more seasonings. It was my wife's birthday and she loved it. The wine was great.
Six of us enjoyed an evening at Bliss. The menu was terrific with lots of interesting dishes to choose from. Most of the food was quite good from salads, soup and bread to duck and short ribs. The wine list was excellent as was the service. Unfortunately, the three who ordered fish as an entree, thought the fish over cooked.
We came for my son”s birthday and it was delicious! Service was excellent.
In San Antonio with siblings & spouses celebrating total of 152 years of marriage. Food is the main purpose. Bliss did not disappoint! Duck foie gras. Scallops. Halibut. Mediterranean Branzino. And great desserts. I had the French toast dessert which I would have again - any time.
Very pleasant evening.
The food was good, but nothing special. Considering the price I was expecting better. The service was great, waiters were attentive. Iwas also looking for something romantic. The ambience was nice but it was very loud in the restaurant.
Overall it was good but not great
Una experiencia fantástica
El lugar precioso el servicio de primera y la comida también
La mejor recomendación de unos amigos
Pase el mejor cumpleaños !!!!!
Awesome. Entire experience was just great and exceeded expectations.
Our server Joe A suggested a great wine to pair with our dinner, outstanding service
This was the perfect spot for an anniversary dinner. Service was top-notch, the food was inventive and excellent, and worth the high price. I would save up to go here again on another special occasion!
Exceptional food and service! Our server, Maricela, noticed that the bottle of wine we selected (a sauvignon blanc) was not properly chilled, so she graciously provided my wife and I with complimentary glasses of a similar, beautifully chilled wine. I chose the scallops, and my wife the off-the-menu monkfish. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious! We highly recommend Bliss for any occasion. You will not be disappointed!
Unfortunately, the food was not spectacular, which you would expect it to because of the price tag. The halibut was overcooked. The dessert, recommended by our waiter, was dry and somewhat hard. Just not the best. The atmosphere was great, though.
Service was on point. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and allowed us to enjoy our time there. Food was amazing
Best overall meal in years. Food was outstanding, service impecable, presentation perfect. The four of us gave it a 9 out of 10
My experience with Bliss restaurant was definitely phenomenal. I was very impressed with every dish with their ingenuity of flavors and their boldness with the presentation that complimented how each and every component tasted.
Great atmosphere. Went for anniversary and the restaurant did not disappoint. Classic, fine-dining and great service. Not a lot of options for food but it is the perfect amount of items on the menu. This was a great experience for us and we are planning on coming back again!
Rushed service - constant hovering
Superbe spot for a special soirée! This transformed 1920’s gas station in the King William neighborhood serves you with class from the past and an exciting modern dare to the delicious plates on the menu. You’ll be pleased with the roasted bone marrow and tartar, the scallops, the delicately roasted branzino and accompanying veggies done on the grill, the cheese plate and homemade sorbets, topped off with one of their fine wines and desert liqueurs.
Very nice establishment. Great selectiin of wine. Amazing staff and the food was mouth watering.
Food was delicious. Service felt a little rushed.
Bliss is in a class of its own. By far one if the very finest restaurants in San Antonio. I can’t wait to go back. The physical restaurant is truly rustic/ lux.
The food is clean fresh and beautifully prepared. The wait staff charming and knowledgeable. I give Bliss five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Delicious from first bite to last. Prompt professional service.
A friend told me about Bliss, as my boyfriend and I were traveling to SA from Dallas.. AM I GLAD I TOOK THE ADVICE! Great atmosphere, even better service and the food was AMAZING!
Food was fantastic!! Frederico recommended a menu that was perfect! Management and host staff were very friendly and attentive! Will definitely be returning!
Made reservations at Bliss for an anniversary dinner. Asked the server for help with gluten and dairy free options. He rattled off a list of GF options faster than I could keep up and didn’t offer dairy free options. I didn’t feel safe to eat there and ended up walking out.
Usually Bliss is by far our most favorite restaurant - and usually give it straight 5 star - but - I don't know maybe restaurant week was just overwhelming for them. Our waitress was totally frazzled - didn't know wine list - broke a glass - kept saying she was so busy - really not our problem. The food from regular menu - I had the Branzino - too salty although cooked perfectly - my husband had the duck it was overcooked - the foie gras was excellent. Friends had the restaurant week menu - short ribs good......vegan plate was a mess - not appealing - tasted ok........Again love this place and will go back when not rest. week.....Hopefully it was just a terrible fluke - I would hate to see my favorite spot go downhill.
Very good, we came for restaurant week. Scallops were excellent
Food was amazing. Fast service. Excellent staff. I would definitely go again.
Consistently one of the best rests in San Antonio. We come here every year for our anniversary.
