The food was amazing. Went to the restaurant around 1:15pm on Friday and made a reservation which wasn't really needed because it was fairly empty which was a good thing. My server was good but I wished they checked on me more there were a few times I had to chase them down. Overall I will be going back! Oh parking sucked but its downtown Baltimore by the harbor which is to be expected.

Normally this place is great. I usually go for brunch but yesterday I went for a last minute dinner. I don’t think they should offer 8:45 reservations if the bar and kitchen close at 9 because I felt extremely rushed . My food was COLD. And they kept forgetting to bring the drinks out (they did not charge us for them so that was nice) overall I think it’s a decent restaurant but under pressure or at the end of the night I wouldn’t recommend going If you expect good service

Mother's Day dinning was me and my husband's 3rd return to Black Hitch restaurant. We told all our friends and family-how Fabulous this restaurant is. We brought a group of 8 total people. All were new to the restaurant. But , on Mother's Day- the service was wretched, extremely slow and unorganized. We waited about 1 hour for service and near a 2nd hour for cold food. Most of the wait staff never responded to any of our requests. None of the people in our group is inclined to returning back. Very disappointing experience.

Food was okay. Got seated 15 minutes later than our reservation and took another 15 to be waited on. Hostess must have been having a bad day, not very friendly. Our waiter did a good job. Fish tacos were okay and wife's salad had very little taste. Disappointing after reading previous reviews.

Nice place! Tasty food! Someone else got our table, initially. But they fixed that and got us seated. Service was a bit slow but, they did fill our order in a reasonable time when you consider that it is a better restaurant and it was Mother’s Day… I will eat there again and try other items on the menu!

The food was amazing. The service was terrrribbleeeee. The floor beneath the table was dirty with old food and something was wet and very slick. When I pointed this out, it was refuted until the employee actually reached down and touched the floor. The alcoholic drinks were not good, were brought out wrong, ice half melted watering drinks down, drinks were half full in the glass afterrrr they drinks took forever to arrive. Plates and silverware were dirty. One plated meal came with the entire bottom of the plate covered in some kind of sauce. I had to get the manager, Christopher, to get our drinks, to place our order, to resolve all our issues. The manager had to get involved because our waiter didn’t come to our table for 35 mins. They included gratuity and it should have gone to the manager, because my waiter was…awol.

While I will admit the food was excellent, it was just disappointing to walk up to the mezzanine level to see trash on the floor and piles of dishes in the corner. The place seemed so unorganized for a Mother's Day event. One customer, seated two tables from us, got up and left after waiting 20 minutes for someone to come to her table and offer her water, bread or even acknowledge her presence. We were fortunate enough to only wait 15 minutes for the same. We tried the Baltimore location because we loved the other location in Gambrills.

The food was delicious - stopped in for Mother’s Day. Started with the crab dip the naan chips are a sinnn so soft and buttery. For entrees, I had the crab Benedict and mom had the Baltimore skillet. Each of them tasted really good. The drinks didn’t hit the mark for me. Mom had the brunch marg, very watery and I had pineapple exp. Martini it was okay. Overall 8/10

Good: great location in Bmore. Nice atmosphere. Coffee was good. Eggs Benedict was good. Bad: we were first table at 10am seating Mother's Day. Our table had leftover french fries on it from night prior. Charged us for sodas instead of coffee. Avocado toast came out burnt on first attempt. When notifying our server, they did kindly replace but the person who ordered that basically started their meal when we were almost done. The Chorizo skillet: 75% potatoes to 15% cheese. Only 10% eggs and chorizo. Not at all what a skillet should be. No brioche bread as was advertised on menu. Our server did not show up to work, so another server took over. That was nice of her. At end of meal, were given the check and didn't bother to ask us if we wanted dessert. Given it was mother's day, of course the mom's in our group wanted dessert.

Had a 7:45 res and had to wait a bit but it’s Mother’s Day weekend and it was crowded. The service was friendly, engaging, and efficient. The food looked gorgeous and tasted even better. Because it was crowded it was a little noisy and slightly less intimate than I expected but I’d go again in a heartbeat. You should, too.

Food was fresh, well prepared and so flavorful. Everything we ordered we loved. Prices were slightly higher than average for seafood however we didn’t feel price gouged. Service however was quite lacking. After being brought menus our waitress didn’t return for a half an hour. The waiting continued throughout the meal with many excuses.(the bar is super busy, the kitchen was backed up, I have a large group table)

From the start it was not a good experience. We had a 1 yr old with us and waited for a high chair that never came; we ended up getting one ourselves. The building was very hot and when asking the hostess if there was anything they could do she said she was sorry and she was hot too. The waiter was forgetful. We waited a half hour for lemon wedges for our water, and longer for our drinks. I don’t recommend the brick chicken (very dry). My husband propped the door open by our table to get some air. When the manager came by he said that was all that could be done and was concerned that rats might enter the building. I don’t mind paying for a good meal and experience but my family will not be returning to this restaurant. Poorly run.
