Blackwall Hitch was the perfect location for a pre-show dinner. Drinks and appetizers were plentiful and delectable. The restrooms were clean and spacious.
Overall, everything was great. Our server was attentive. The restaurant was nice…had a bit if a rustic feel. My food was yummy but my only complaint is one of our dishes was cold. Otherwise, I’d visit again.

Birthday dinner. The service was amazing and the ambiance was wonderful.
It’s a very nice looking place but food service was slow. Drinks were amazing but couldn’t order my second Summer Heat because they ran out of the ingredients.
The waitress needed more help simply put. She had a large section and outside so she could not have been at attentive as I would wanted her to have been. The food was decent some items were bland while others were perfectly seasoned.
Everything was decent considering the current climate of the food industry.
My party arrived 10 minuted early. 5 people they told us we would be seated shortly. We go back inside and they state oh we will seat you in this booth. I stated this is too small we will not have any space to eat. There was multiple parties who came in after and was seated before us and received their food before us. We switch to a table and then they took almost 10-15 before the waitress came. This was horrible. I had my 94 grandmother and 70 yr old mother with me. Terrible service

This was nothing like the Alexandria, VA location. I took someone on a date, the waiter took too long to get to the table, he finally took our order..30 mins later the entrees were 86. The drinks were under poured. (I’m a bartender). He didn’t follow up to see if we were good. Hot mess.

Very nice atmosphere for 8 group events. Food was hot and on time. The group enjoyed the private space a nice surprise. Made the event personnel and given the times we were able to close the door to get privacy. Service was top-notch! Did I say the good was HOT and very good! Excellent serverings

Service was really good. Food plates varied in size not proportionate to price— truffle flatbread was awesome. Scallops were overdone. Trident broiler was very good— crab cake very good. Again, server was terrific. Drinks prompt and well made.

A backup at the bar caused us to wait 15-20 minutes for drinks (like glasses of wine or beer). Also waited extended time for the server to check in on the table. Probably just staffing shortages, but it did become a little frustrating.
Blackwall and Hitch is perfectly located in downtown Baltimore. However it's service and food quality and price do not match the ambiance. Nothing served was exceptional in fact it was terribly average. Potatoes were over cooked and tasted as if they had been prepared in advance and warmed up. I ordered the steak medium well - it was definitely overcooked and the crab was near tasteless. Given all those factors the dishes were overpriced.
We had dinner at Blackwall Hitch as part of an anniversary celebration. The food and service were excellent, as well as the hostess who greeted and seated us.

The food was amazing . Our service was slow , the manager informed us they were understaffed and he was great and got us what we needed .
Our server was new and he made a good attempt. The order was wrong and they replaced the items and the food was over cooked. The drinks were great however. The Blackwell Hitch has great potential to be a food destination at the Inner Harbor but misses on service or the food preparation. When they don't miss this place is excellent. When they do it is bad and very slow.

Our party of 6 had a great experience. Texas and her trainee were super helpful in their recommendations and the service was great with prompt refills or bringing requested condiments. The Blackwell Shrimp appetizer was great- they should make an appetizer just of the sauce and a loaf of bread- it is really that good. The tuna tartare was a little sweet for my taste but good nonetheless. The calamari disappeared in a minute! The shrimp and grits were good and those who had the pork chops said they were cooked perfectly (but could use some additional seasoning). Because of the high ceilings, the noise is a bit louder but it wasn’t a problem for the 6 of us to hear one another. And if you go, tell Texas the visiting Texans recommended the place!
Went to celebrate my anniversary. We had the fried green tomatoes with lump crab and the calamari for appetizers and the shrimp n grits and pork chop for our main courses. The food was delicious and Mrs. Texas along with the waitress in training were attentive and made our evening special with a surprise treat at the end.

Food was expensive but good. Staff was very busy but she kept up with our needs. I'm assuming they were short staffed. She did a great job. I think her name was Texas. Very friendly.
I choose Blackwall Hitch for my girlfriends birthday. Reservations was made a week early. Once we arrived we were notified that they were short staff. Since we had reservations the hostess told us that we wouldn't have any issues an to wait till our time. We were seated by the hostess and she made sure that we had water and that someone would come to serve us soon. We waited for maybe 15 minutes till Shanea noticed us. She was so nice and attentive. Shanea was very personable and checked in on us when she could. Our order came out super fast and the food was amazing.
