Blackstones Steakhouse Stamford
Only the best USDA prime beef is used and every cut is carefully dry-aged to provide the perfect concentration of taste, arriving at your table on a piping hot plate, sizzling with flavor.
Easily the worst on so many levels.
1. Our waitress was easily the worst I’ve ever had. I can’t even go into each category of that, but it was horrific.
2. The outside deck was sad looking. I mean act like you actually are welcoming people to dine with you. The place looked like a fraternity basement.
3. After 2 years of dining there 15+ times, they tell me they are no longer allowing a corkage. And that the bottle of wine I brought can’t be opened. Why? Not a welcoming message after a year of slow business, and the restaurant not that full either.
4. Their deck overlooks the streets of Downtown Stamford. The car drive by’s pounding music and reving engines is not their fault, but it was also the worst ever and our time there suffered as a result.
5. The food was ok, usually is. Just a bit cold, the speed from the kitchen (hot) to table, was clearly not quick enough (not sure where that problem lies).
6. Plus note, the hostess was super nice upon arrival.
7. After not being able to open my bottle that I brought, and usually happy to pay the $30-$50 corkage fee, I picked 2-3 bottles from their list, of course they didn’t have those vintages in some cases, and in some cases didn’t have that wine either. So their wine list is out dated.
8. After spending $1,000 as we always do, the bottom line is the service dropped significantly, the food was coldish and didn’t come all at once. The table service was very poor, the wine experience was a zero, the ambiance was a zero, and their presentation of their outdoor eating area was a zero.
How in the world do we go back and allow that to happen again?
I expect this restaurant to be closed inside of a year.
They told us they were short on help and apologized fir the terrible service
First we waited way too long for our appetizers and then before we had a chance to enjoy the apps the dinner was served.
We should have refused it but we accepted it.
Really a sad situation as the food is good
mothers day fail
no food for over an hour
never brought one dish
2 meals arrived and then a 3rd 20 min later and a 4th 30 min later only after 3x complaining to anyone who would listen
feedback was that they were over sold and basically deal with it
Mother's Day. Like all other reviews...terrible. 6:30 reservation. Finally seated at 7:10. Hostesses (3) rude. As we were seated, we were warned by a manager that the kitchen was backed up but she'd get us water. ??? At 8:10 we cornered another manager. He took our order for wine/soda and promised a waiter. He finally showed and shared he'd had a long night ?? but after taking our order he did provide a glass of wine on the house. Yay. At 9:20, nearly 3 hours later, I left my son and husband and dashed to the garage so as not to get a ticket. I've never written a negative review ... Never going back... The manager actually told us it was worse the night before. Can't imagine.
This Blackstone in CT is night and day compared to the Long Island Blackstone.
Mother's Day was a nightmare. Poor service and the restaurant looked like who did it and ran. Managers could care less and the food was nothing special and arrived cold.
Stay away and spend a little extra at Capital Grill where they know what service and good food is all about.
Terrible service. Waited over an hour for food. Waitress was the worst didn’t get plates for bread or utensils, didn’t check on us once the manager finally gave us our food. We then sat for 30 min once we finished our food until we finally got her attention and we were told “be right there” another 15min and nothing finally manager came by and got our dessert order. Manager gave us dessert on the house and apologized but we should not have been there for 3hrs due to terrible service. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.
Went here for Mother’s Day. Dropped $300. Food was fine. Nothing special. Service was terrible. They couldn’t find our reservation we made through Open Table.
Probably won’t be going back. There is better is downtown Stamford.
We had an 8:30 reservation and were told there were no tables available when we arrived at 8:30. Finally got seated at 9 and gave our order immediately. An hour and a half later, no food, poor drink service, and no expectation of when we would get anything. The place is only open for 30 more minutes so we left to try and find somewhere else that could serve us but it was too late. First date night in well over a year and it couldn’t have gone worse.
Didn’t order any appetizers and it took 1 hour and 50 minutes to get our food. After complaining multiple times they gave us a couple of drinks but even that was too late because I didn’t want it because I was driving. Avoid the place like the plague if it looks remotely busy. Last time going there for a long, long time.
At these prices you expect a professional experience. Entrees came out midway through our appetizers. It all seemed a rush to turn the table over
Our waiter was terrible. He kept telling us that he was too busy and would be back to take care of us. The clams casino had a bad after taste as if they were bad clams. We told the waiter and he did nothing.
The wedge salad had only 4 tiny pieces of bacon and was drowning in dressing - it was very sloppily put together.
No one cleaned off the dirty glasses, they were piling up on the table. And we had to flag someone to get more water several times.
I think it overall it was very over priced. We spent over $500 for 4 people and the service was terrible.
Pre Mother’s Day
Dinner was excellent, service was outstanding- we had the best server she was great. And Very attentive to our needs. The high end steak restaurants are a little pricey, which is why I give price four stars and not five. Blackstones Stamford is awesome- go there!
I asked specific questions as to a certain cut of meat and was given false information. I feel that I was overcharged for what I got
Awesome place for my boyfriend's birthday. The steak is really good!
Has potential but this restaurant is just average. The staff try hard but don’t produce the results of a pricey neighborhood establishment. A recent visit resulted in such a staggered service that might wife and I more or less watched each other eat as the appetizer and entrees were off by 10-15 minutes.
We had a FABULOUS big birthday celebration with a small group of family. Tareq was an amazing waiter. Frankly, we all were amazed at how friendly, knowledgeable about the food and attentive he was. Tareq and the other blond waiter made our evening special and the experience totally worth it!!! We will definitely be back!
Our server Alex was great - this was my second time here and I will be back
Our steaks were excellent. As was the service. Tariq and the servers were excellent. Welldone
We had a great time here. T was my waiter and I would recommend him to anyone. He’s provided us with great service and would suggest that everyone request him.
T was great. Friendly, helpful with the menu, and great to be around. We ll defiantly be back here again due to the service, food, and atmosphere.
Staff was great
Love coming here. My fav is the fillet mignon. I like the music and the volume, it puts energy into the space, like more on the excitement side. Big open space.
Waiter’s could use some more service help.
Great service, very good food not sure if it is quite at the very top tier w/Delfriscos, Morton’s or Ruth Chris but very, very good!
Excellent atmosphere and food. Enjoyed by business lunch.
Excellent dinning experience highly recommend!
Had a great time here. Food was delish. Sides are shareable which was great. Our waiter Stephen was great!
We had a great experience at Blackstones Steakhouse. It was our first time going to this steakhouse and we were impressed. Very modern and great looking restaurant. The food, drinks, and ambiance were great. We look forward to having a date night at Blackstones Steakhouse soon!
It was a nice experience and the staff was very helpful.
T the waiter was amazing! He was attentive, charming and so accommodating! Anything we asked for he delivered and his sense of humor was awesome! Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back!!
I had never been to Blackstone and decided to try it during Stamford Restaurant Week. We were a party of three celebrating my birthday.... Great service.... The food was ordinary... Actually slightly below ordinary. Naturally it was a great value, but I had picked this place to try during restaurant week as a showcase to eventually return for a fantastic
experience and pay full price, But it's looking doubtful....
Our waiter was amazing. He was attentive and made some great suggestions.
Service was good. The food was even better! Can’t go wrong with their steaks.
Ordered off of the Restaurant Week menu. Smoked salmon and Calamari were very good. Filet mignon was too rare but it was addressed immediately. Once it was re-fired it was perfect. Black Angus cooked perfectly. Coconut flan absolutely delicious.
The food was amazing and our waitress was even better. Loved everything
The food was amazing and our waiter T was great!!
Food was delicious friendly service . Beautiful decor.
Everything was great except dinner took way too long to come out. Everything else was great!!
Loved calamari appetizer and cheesecake for dessert. I thought my steak entree could have been a little more tender, cooked medium.
It was my first time at Blackstones and it was very nice.
The lady at the front stated that there was no booth for me after viewing my profile but it was fine, because where we sat was out of the way and had “social distance “
Sheri the waitress was very nice and spaced out everything so we were not rushed. Everything was really nice. The food was good and the drinks were great!
Overall I had a nice time and would go back again.
