   This was a surprising find. I thought this would be a serviceable but mediocre local steakhouse but I was proven wrong. The food and service rivaled any of the high end steakhouses in the state. Nothing on the menu suggested anything more than standard steak house fare but the attention to detail in the preparation made all the difference. Every dish we had was done so perfectly that it added up to a really amazing experience. I want to give special attention to the surf n turf. The lobster, instead of being simply steamed and consequently chewy as normally seen, was basted in herbs and a seasoned sauce which, paired with a small tureen of clarified butter, was a pleasant surprise of quality cooking. Also, the side of mushroom sauce was in a Prog wine reduction rather than the usual gloopy brown gravy and it added a ton of flavor to the already perfectly done 10oz. Filet. I will be back as soon as possible for this neighborhood find.

   We went for my wife’s birthday last night & couldn’t be happier. Cesar took great care of us! Food is always top notch. This restaurant is always my boys first choice & I always get great feedback on it being a memorable experience for all. We have been going there for years and they have never disappointed us.

   Delicious food and wonderful overall experience as always. We dine at Blackstones-Norwalk often and always enjoy our dinner which is consistent in quality as well as preparation. From Angus steak to swordfish to bronzini and sides of mushrooms and Brussel sprouts, we always depart highly satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit. We always feel welcomed and appreciated by Bill, Cesar and the rest of the staff and their outstanding and always attentive service. Can’t praise Blackstones enough. If you’ve never been, go! You won’t be disappointed!!!

    Average at best, unfortunately. Steakhouse in a strip mall. Positive-Ordered a steak and it was cooked perfectly. Ordered blackened swordfish, and it was not blackened, was a strange cut, and totally undercooked. Waiter never returned to our table to see how entrees were or if we were in need of drinks or other service. His next visit was to clear dishes. Seeing fish basically untouched, he apologized and offered dessert. No thank you. How about another drink, no thank you. I explained issues with fish and he refunded our wines by the glass (2). 200.00. An unfortunate experience. We so wanted to find a nice local steakhouse.

    One of the best steakhouses in Connecticut! We lived in Chicago for 15 years and this place is on par with any of the great steak houses in Chicago. Great place to go for a special occasion.

    We love Blackstones and will return. All but one of the five steaks ( a 10oz filet which was inexplicably chewy and not up to their standard) were excellent. The service was impeccable, attentive and very in tune to our needs. I’d make one suggestion; about the French fry side dish; For a restaurant of this caliber, they should be hand cut, like the frites at Cafe Routier in Westbrook. We had a lovely time, and although we can only afford it maybe once a year, will return for the top notch steak house experience.

    Very good traditional steak house. Service is excellent, and attention is paid to the details. The food is delicious. Celebrated my husband's birthday, and we shared the seafood platter and porterhouse for 2. Portions were quite large, so we had a wonderful dinner the following night, too. Highly recommend.

    Waiter was not attentive and not pleasant. Asked for salad dressing on the side and it came dressed, steak was ordered medium and was medium well, wrong dessert was served. We were not thanked or acknowledged by mailer d. When we left the restaurant.

    Good, old school steak house. No frills, great drinks. Food was ok, maybe a little more flavor in the escargot and the steak. Caesar salad needed some work more cheese or anchovies. Not a great steakhouse but good.

    IMHO best kept secret in Norwalk. The restraunt itself hides in plain sight. It has an excellent bar which is separated in its own area from the dining room. Seafood is as good as the Meat. Service is always great. You are never rushed.

    Our waiter was poor at best. Once seated, he only offered water, I had to request a drink from the bar. Our steaks were over cooked and not once during our meal did he come back to ask if our meal was cooked as ordered.
