Only good things here. The prime rib had a wonder crust on top and was cooked to perfection. We had 2 waiters and 2 busboys. I ordered tiramisu for desert hoping to take 1 bite and taking the rest home to my son but finished it off. The cheesecake was incredible. Wonderful restaurant.

This was my first time eating at Blackstones in Southport. It was for my birthday and it was 4 people. I loved the ambience and it was quiet so we could have a conversation. Our waitress was great, the wine and the. food were delicious. Everyone loved the meal. We will definitely make Blackstones apart of our restaurant repetoire.

This was our first time at this Blackstones (we’ve dined at the others numerous times). We were warmly greeted, promptly seated and the waiter quickly came by to greet us. Food and service were both excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant - and the other Blackstones as well.

The 10 oz. filet mignon and the veal chop were very good at Blackstone's Grill in Southport, however, some other food stuffs are not. The rolls come to the table warm and soft, but harden in a brief time as if they had been heated in a microwave. The butter served has an off taste as if it had been in the refrigerator for a long time, uncovered. We had to ask for fresh butter for the baked potato, and this was fine. Prices have gone up considerably over the past year, but, overall, our meal was good.

So we went for New Years Eve as we don’t get to go out too often due to our children. The steak was good however we both ordered the same thing and one was overcooked compared to the other. The tuna appetizer and onion soup were good as well. The sides we ordered were not so great. The creamed spinach was watery, didn’t realize there would be whole garlic cloves in the garlic mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts lacked flavor. The lava cake on the menu is also a joke. It is not a lava cake and is comparable to one you get at Chili’s. A chocolate Bundt cake with some chocolate sauce in the middle heated up is not a lava cake. You should either make a true lava cake or change the description on your menu. Sorry to be so blunt but that is a true annoyance to me when I expect a lava cake, especially at a restaurant like this, and get the quality of a chain restaurant. I don’t think we will be back.

Undeniably the best steakhouse in ffld. County! The food was insanely delicious The staff was incredible. The staff works so hard to make sure everyone and everything is perfect. We had a great dinner and will definitely be back.

The food was good. I was expecting a better cut of meat. The nice dinner out was ruined by behavior usually not allowed in a restaurant of this level. One tables cell phones were ringing off the hook. Another table was on FaceTime with their family twice via speaker for everyone to hear. Hard to justify the prices charged for the overall experience of a chain fast food establishment.

Overall, we had a nice evening. The hostess needs better customer service training ie: no greeting, no smile, just a grunt. The waiter was great! I had the 10oz filet and it was cooked perfectly but a bit tough and strings of gristle. My wife had the bronzini and it was great.

Would have liked to see a little more variety in the menu (i.e.: chicken prepared without cheese), for those of us who are limited as to beef and shellfish. However, the beef was beautifully prepared, the roasted mushrooms and sautéed onions incredible, and the service flawless. The bar could use some work (bother to stir the drinks) but drinks were strong and mostly accurate.
