      The service was very good from the waitress a little long between courses. The portion of meat was good but the sides were small but very good!

      Some of the best food in Charlottesville. On the pricy side but worth every penny. If you go, try the sides they are fantastic.

      This was the first we have been to Black Cow when the steak wasn’t perfect. We had the NY Strip, medium rare. My husband and I both thought it had more fat and gristle than we had ever had before. I also thought it was prepared more medium than medium rare. It wasn’t warm either. Our server asked if I wanted to have it prepared again, I said no but probably should have said yes. The service and all other food were great. The other couple enjoyed their meal of pork chop and rib eye.
