The new Lodge features panoramic Cascade views, designed to connect homeowners and guests to the surrounding high desert and mountain landscape. The 22,100-square-foot, two-story building includes a new restaurant and bar, second floor lounge, fireside room, private dining room, event space, meeting room, outdoor dining on both levels, and a state-of-the-art kitchen with a catering facility among other spaces.

New experience for me at the new lodge at Black Butte. Awesome job on the rebuild, very enjoyable dining experience.

We had a reservation and got right in. It took over 30 minutes to place our drink/appetizer order. Waited almost an hour for those to arrive. Main course had a very long wait as well. It was almost three hours in all. Will not return which is too bad because the view is stunning but the wait time ruined the experience.

The setting is second to none. Food was mostly very good with one ok dish. I hope they are just working out the kinks with summer season staff because the service was sub par.

The special cocktails were good, and cold, as they should be. The service of food was very delayed. Appetizer very slow to arrive, at least 30 min after ordering. All dinner food that was supposed to be served hot, was lukewarm and again very delayed. This was our Fathers' day special dinner with our daughters visiting from Portland, so very disappointing.

While the food and service was very good, some less formal menu items are needed. Alternatively, the lounge upstairs offers a few more items but lacks enough staff and flexible hours to accommodate families on vacation.

Beautiful dinning room and view. Very quiet, hardly any diners! Very enjoyable evening with special friends. Halibut was a little too spicy, which was a shame if you don't care to have your fresh halibut that way. Ask for bread, it is a very nice focaccia.

Black Butte Ranch is a beautiful place to dine with magnificent views and excellent service. Since the tables are spread out, it’s easy to have a private conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was good but not as good as 2 years ago when we were there last time. It was fine but not outstanding.

We love this restaurant as we have eaten there multiple times in the last few years. This was not the experience we've come to expect. Our server appeared to be stretched a little thin (perhaps she was training new staff at the same time ?). The one thing that is a little disappointing is the menu hasn't substantially changed in the last 12 months or more. It would be better if new dishes were rotated in from time to time.
