   We had a lovely family dinner. For whatever reason we just discovered Black & Blue. We have been going to Capital Grill and The Federal, but after tonight we have a new favorite. The food was fantastic. Service was great. Loved the ambiance. Bonus points for fulfilling my request on the reservation for a booth. A+

   Nice newish restaurant in Wellesley. Food variable. Very good scallops and steaks. Salmon was ok, but served with raw Brussel sprouts and almost raw broccolini. Four guests $100 per head with one dessert and 3 glasses of wine (total), I didn’t feel it was very good value. Lively fun atmosphere, not suitable for business or intimate dinner.

   Service was attentive and the environment was very appealing. The food was disappointing for all of us--the food was generally underseasoned, the KC strip I had was tougher than I expected, etc. Dessert was good. Bread was good. Sides were ok. Hash browns felt too greasy.

   No recognition of birthday, even though it was in the reservation. Had to remind servers about requests for rolls & sodas. Butter stayed on the table through dessert. No one wiped the table between courses. This seems picky, but we spend $$$$ for dinner - i expect service to match the check price. They are many other places to go if not.

    The best service we’ve had in years. Would give more than 5 stars to Shannon P! Answered all of our questions accurately and confidently, brought tastes of wine we were choosing between, was attentive without hovering. Food was excellent — halibut special (only thing we could give any constructive feedback on was that the olives in the dish were extremely salty) and scallops for dinner, started with beet salads, ended with banana trifle. Had cocktails to start and then wine with dinner. Just the right time allowed for a relaxed dinner, neither rushed nor waiting for a check. Will return! Steaks around us looked to be cooked perfectly and bar looks like a nice atmosphere for a drink and apps.
