Overlooking the historic Borough Market, Black and Blue has been a Borough mainstay since 2001.
A modern British American steakhouse where you can savour delicious steaks or burgers whilst
watching the bustle of the market or sip one of our signature cocktails in the bar whilst trains rattle
overhead.

Perfect for your business lunch or dinner, a more relaxed drink or meal with friends, or a fun
weekend or night out. We will entertain you in either our spacious restaurant, busy bar, or private

We have been on a number of occasions previously but this was incredibly disappointing. From the surly service of our host; no discourse, snarled when my daughter asked for a J20 .. "I don't know what this is" .. to just dumping down our water on our table, to the lack of acknowledgement and apology for the chipped glass for my beer. The food as always was excellent, but the service was INCREDIBLY disappointing and not in keeping with previous experiences and also what I'd expect as a customer. Don't patronise or passively criticise your customers. It's not acceptable.

We had the most fantastic staff members which made my father's birthday so special. Monica was amazing! She was super friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make our family dinner something to remember. She checked with the chef with my food order to make sure I was able to eat it (as I'm pregnant) and suggested alternatives if there was something I was unable to have. Monica also remembered that it was my father's birthday and made him very delighted as she did a little celebration for him with a candle. Thank you so much!

Had a great experience at Black & Blue in Borough Market. The service was efficient, friendly and pleasant throughout. Food was served promptly and tasted great. The premises were clean and the overall ambiance was welcoming and comfortable. A good spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

Asked why there is no seasoning in my food (I mean it, none) got told there is salt on the table and that they don't season their food. Quite shocking.

Friendly staff, good location, good food. When I booked I had ticked to say it was for a birthday. When we arrived we were asked whose birthday it was & they said Happy Birthday! When we ordered deserts it cam out with a candle on and three staff member sang Happy Birthday. A really nice touch
