Good food- nice waiter
Great. Felt very safe, really great at social distancing and wearing masks.
Got my drink order wrong, argued about the error, drink came at the end of the meal in a glass half the size as usual (it was my first and only drink), especially for a top shelf drink.
Food and service were both good! Thank you for setting up the reservation for us!
They shouldn't allow people to make an 8:30 reservation if they're closing at 9. There were multiple people sat after us and I imagine they all felt pretty rushed too. We rushed through it and left quick enough to make sure we weren't the last people there which wasn't that great because we were having dinner with friends. I love coming here but I know how long it takes to close down a restaurant and they could have done their closing duties and not rushed us so hard.
Just disappointed by not having prime rib... Was looking forward to it. Dinner was still great. Thanks as always for BJ’s great food and service. Open Table was great to book through.
They did a great job of keeping people distanced from one another. Staff had masks and is respectful of space, though occasionally difficult to hear. And doing a good job of cleaning and sanitizing all tables used. Was really impressed and would go back.
Great friendly service. Our waiter was exceptional. Food was great except the asparagus. Stringy, looked like weeds, very tough to eat. Otherwise enjoyable.
Excellent, as always. Server was very friendly and helpful.
it was nice to be able to get back to dine in .. BJ's folsom has it set up for social distancing , they are doing all the CDC guidelines. Good food great service.
Good food selection, great beers on tap.
Good food selection, great beers on tap.
As always, a nice place to eat. Service was professional and responsive. Very quiet due to reduced visitors and social distancing. Menu items removed for same reason, as to be expected. Food quality needs some improvement such as pizza was warm not hot and needed more cheese, burger was short on bacon and jalapenos and more fries. Prices are getting high and continue to creep up. Would still go back, but hoping for improvements.
Food was great, as was our server. Just happy to be able to go out to eat again!
Very happy that the employees all wore masks and gloves.
Keeping it simple, the food was good, the server was friendly, the restaurant was clean and buzzy. The only and biggest issue was that they arrived to serve the main courses as we were only three quarters way through our starters. Why do they do that? There was no pressure on tables that we could detect and we weren't being stupid slow over the time we took to eat. A shame as the food quality was excellent.
Service was just ok. I never got asked if I wanted another drink until I was done with my meal. I will go back
Met a former co worker for lunch. We had a lot of catching up to do. Server didn’t rush us. We ordered wine. Great pour from a small decanter which felt like 2 glasses of winter per serving. The menu may be too big for some. Too many choices. I chose enlightened chicken/brown rice dish from lunch menu, which was really delicious. Friend ordered a burger and fries. Before leaving, I ordered one of their $6 take home and heat entrees for my husband. Good choice for a lunch date. We often go to a SoCal location with my son and grandkids, which works out great for everyone.
We had 10 people All enjoy their food and the service was fantastic even save money with my rewards and got a free appetizer we always know we can go to trusted BJ’s and get good food for the money
We had a family dinner with our grandchildren on a very busy Friday night and the service couldn’t have been better! The food at BJ’s has always been consistently good and it is a fun place to take the grandchildren. It was so nice to be able to make an online reservation since we had a large party.
Server was excellent! Food was great for a party of ten. We live in San Jose and when ever we go to Folsom that's where we all meet up.
People are friendly and service is good.
I would recommend this place to my friends.
Dinner was delicious and the pazookies amazing.
Yes, but would not recommend Fish and Chips. Overcooked, almost burnt and did not taste well . A little noisy hard to hear
This BJ's has some of the best wait staff in Folsom! My waiters and waitresses always offer tasting options that help me to sculpt the perfect dinner. Their double pork chop dish with sauteed green beans is the best dish of it's kind that I've eaten anywhere so far. And, pardon me for saying so, but my waiter wasn't hard on the eyes either! I wish it were quieter, but you can't have everything. The manager I spoke to was a very nice gentleman whose work with the staff speaks for itself. He is obviously doing a spectacular job of selecting the right individuals, and training them thoroughly. Always a pleasurable experience dining at BJ's!!
Once again BJs has provided an excellent experience for the four of us before going to the theater at Palladio Center. We always enjoy dining there. The food and multiple beer and wine choices are a plus, and the food menu has something for adults and the hard to please kids. Keep it up, we will be back.
The restaurant had overpacked the tables such that it was difficult to even navigate our way to the table and the noise level was quite high. I got a text message stating the table was ready and the hostess handed me a ticket with the name of two servers. When we go to the table it wasn’t ready as they were waiting for an adjacent table to finish to provide enough seating for our party of 10.
While the waiter, DJ, was extremely pleasant, he struggled to get food to the table on time. The kids were served their meals and had finished before the adult meals came. One of the meals was obviously for another table and was quickly replaced with the right one. Another meal had the wrong side.
The service took way too long and we had to end the meal in a rushed fashion as we had other plans elsewhere. And it was disappointing that even though a celebration for Mother’s Day was specified on the reservation, nothing special was done to accommodate this.
Our table was ready when we arrived. There was 8 of us gals. Our Waiter was excellent. Brought us our drink order right away. Didn’t take long for our yummy food. Everything was just great.
It was my fiancé’s birthday. It was a great experience! Especially for a holiday! They accommodated the 20 of us perfectly!
Everything was good except they were not prepared with gluten free menu even though it was clearly stated in the reservation and one of our parties meals was under cooked (steak was rare when asked for medium) otherwise good experience.
Over all food are awesome! There were 4 of us, It took awhile to get our food and once we had our food, only 3 food came out, last food came out 5-8 minutes later. I was the last to eat and had to watch my family eat their food while I had to wait for mine. Service was good, our waiter did what he could but in the end it was the wait for the food that took so long.
It was great to have a reservation, be seated as soon as we arrived, received munchies for the kids as we were seated and ordered drinks within a few minutes. Food was great, ample servings of every item and multiple servers attended to us throughout the meal. Complimentary birthday dessert was delicious! Will be back!
This review reflects only this specific visit.
We don’t like being the people who send food back but this was unavoidable. We used to love BJ’s when they first opened and dined there on a regular basis. Then they became corporate and just another chain restaurant and they went downhill quick.
We have recently rediscovered BJ’s and they have greatly improved! We have started becoming regulars again and recently downloaded their rewards app.
On this particular visit we went specifically for two things; my wife wanted their Baked Ziti dish and we wanted the Monkey Bread for dessert. The Baked Ziti came out and there wasn’t much sauce in the dish. Easily 50-60% of the pasta was completely white with no sauce on it. Then my wife started finding pieces of plastic in the dish. At first we thought it was a piece of the sausage casing but after she found the fourth piece and we examined it closely we concluded it was definitely not casing. We couldn’t figure out what it was. The waitress sent the manager to our table and she was also at a loss as to what the plastic source might be. Of course she apologized and didn’t charge for that dish and offered to bring out another.
When the Monkey Bread came out it was so hard we could not cut into the pieces of bread. Again the manager apologized and brought out another order that was prepared perfectly.
I had a salad that was great. We understand this was an exception to our usual experience and we thank the manager for making things as right as possible. We will be back
A rather extensive menu assures a good choice for just about anyone. Our server was attentive and very good. The food is good and we enjoy dining here.
We had an issue with our OpenTable reservation. The restaurant told us they do not accept reservations and when we showed them our reservation on the OpenTable app and the email confirmation we were told again that they do not accept reservations and we would have to take this issue up with OpenTable. I received my OpenTable points for the reservation so I’m not certain where the disconnect is.
One more thing, I don’t know what the floor is layered with but it is very slick, feels greasy. The footing feels very unsafe.
Great brewhouse restaurant, casual atmosphere. Large menu, choices from lite snacks to full dinners, a little for all palates, and of course great beer selection. Food well prepared, large portions, great service. Overall, great spot for nice meal, casual dining, friendly conversation. Have been to multiple BJ’s locations, all have been consistently good to great.
The food was excellent, but service was very slow.
They still have great pizzas and beer, we didnt enjoy what we had this visit though. Maybe it's time to slim down the menu and keep what's good. Service always kinda sux at BJ's anywhere, I really think it's because their floors are so slippery and everyone has to walk slow. Every bjs I've been to has that same problem.
Serving sizes were small and very limited vegetarian options
Avocado rolls are amazing!
