   Disappointed that there were a few items on the menu that they ran out of and substitute option was very expensive. I’m gluten free only 2 options on the menu and it was salad or vegetarian dish. Had to wait a long time for cocktails as not many people working in the restaurant. If I new I would have eaten outside of the resort

   I am not normally one to write reviews, and in all honesty we did not get to try the restaurant because it was closed. We had reservations made in late November for their Christmas dinner buffet and confirmed on 12/24. However when we got there they were closed - no notice, no call and no warning. Staff of the resort had no clue what we were talking about but I did have email proof. They did let us know another restaurant was having dinner and we ate there. It was very disappointing, food was late coming out, when we asked about butter for the mash potatoes the waitress said she did not think they had any, but luckily she did find 3 pats. Since it was Christmas there were not many other open options. I am sure in years to come we will laugh at this, but this year it was a major disappointment l, and we will never be going back to the resort.

   The scenery was good but for the price and value the food was horrible. My kids meal of chicken tenders and fries was overcooked pretty much burned and the pasta had way too much seasoning. The drinks ordered were mainly juice and everything was overpriced for mediocre food. I was very disappointed and get the resort is in the middle of nowhere so customers don’t have much options. But for the price we pay we should at least get common food etiquette and basic essentials that a basic restaurant has. Will be my family’s last trip to Kartrite. With the price we payed during a two day weekend which was well over $2500 I would just like to get excellent food and tasty drinks. Everything here really sucks like my family and I were staying in a hole on the wall, cheap establishment. Furthermore, I wish more attention to detail and top of the line service was dedicated to top paying customers for a great dining experience. For the service we received the price should have been half off and McDonald’s would have been a better bet that the food we received. I wish I could of gave less than a 1 star because they deserved. FYI the reviews before hand said the same thing and I was giving the establishment the benefit of the doubt, but the reviews were right. Nasty food, ok service, overpriced items!

   We went to Bixby's for dinner last night. The menu looked good, but was limited. To our surprise, they were out of both salads (chopped and Ceasar, both soups (French onion, and butternut squash), and they were out of the sushi pizza. So they only had 2 appetizers available. We ordered 2 NY strip entrees for dinner, which were supposed to come with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. They both came with broccoli and regular mashed potatoes, and both of our steaks came out completely charred and burnt. The 2 kids' meals were mediocre. When it came to dessert, they had none of their menu items available, only vanilla/chocolate ice cream and cheesecake. We had indicated we were celebrating a birthday when we made the reservation, but there was nothing special done. The worst part of this experience was that the hostess and/or waitress didn't inform us of any of this beforehand so that we could have decided to go elsewhere. We were only informed when trying to order the above mentioned items. The best part of our meal was the bread basket, which my kids had to ask for since no appetizers were available. I do not recommend this restaurant.

   Pretty nasty food here that took way too long to be served. There was nobody in the restaurant yet I waited an hour for the disgusting drunken chicken parm. I spent the next 2 days sick and unable to enjoy the resort. The warm bread and butter was the only good thing about the place.

   The food was disgusting. And they were out of many menu items. Have never had such a bad meal and we were there with 7 other people and not one person enjoyed their meal. Do not go here!

   We had a horrible experience at Bixby’s this weekend. We were with a group of people and had reservations at 7pm and had to wait an hour and a half for our food and drinks. Then we finally get the food after an hour and 45 minutes and they tell us they are sold out of shrimp and grits. The worst service and experience at a restaurant.

    The first 4 things we ordered they were out of. My husband got his meal with the wrong side because they were also out of that - which he wasn’t told until the meal came out. What we ate was good but for the price and the headache, we won’t be back.
