   First of all, any restaurant with the fabulous Mary Stallings singing as the house regular is worth going to. But even without the music, the food is terrific. We opted for a large number of small plates rather than getting entrees, and we were delighted. The Mushroom Soup deserves special mention, but every dish, from the Market Salad to the Fried Green Tomatoes, was a winner. Our service was excellent, and we couldn't stop gazing at the intriguing paintings lining the walls.

   Food and service were excellent. Ambiance is really nice with an old school San Francisco vibe. Our server Jackie was nice and knowledgeable and the food came to the table with perfect timing in between courses.

    I really love this restaurant but the food and service competes with the atmosphere and falls short. But, you should still go there! It’s really gorgeous and fun. A real iconic San Francisco restaurant, just don’t expect the food to “wow” you like the vibe does.

    The Bix staff made my spouse’s Bday special. This is the first time patronizing the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal (seared duck, waygu steak, deviled eggs, and chicken liver macaroon). The cocktails (Elixir #3) absolutely sexy and delicious. The ambience and atmosphere in the restaurant was spectacular! The live jazz was was awesome. The desert was divine (chocolate and fudge chantilly). I was blown away by Bix and will return. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the culinary experience.

    Thank you to the entire team at Bix. We had an incredible time Saturday night. My 16-year-old son wanted something special for his "anniversary" night. From the hostess calling to confirm, to the bartender who helped me stay hidden at the bar while they ate (Andrew) to Fabian the waiter who not only went above and beyond, he found me at the bar to compliment me on my son. AND the chef came to the table to check in! San Francisco has many places for an evening out....but BIX makes for an evening with friends. Thank you, we will be back again and again...     Waiter too stressed, give us the feeling to hurry and get out. Place too noisy with echo and piano playing. We couldn’t hear each other. My sparkling wine wasn’t cold enough. But the food was top.

    Hopped off the plane and the first restaurant I needed to go to was Bix. There’s a reason this place is so iconic: from the lively jazz music, dimly lit ambiance of the room, excellent service, and sultry drinks.     Bix never disappoints. The ambiance of this restaurant makes it a dining experience that is reminiscent of a NY night club. I love they still have a live jazz combo playing and the vocalist was wonderful. The food is always great with a very diverse menu.
