Bistrot La Minette is the realization of Chef Peter Woolsey's dream that began a decade ago during his earliest days studying in France: to create a restaurant that would share his love of the authentic bistrot experience with his fellow Philadelphians.Chef Peter pays great respect to the traditional dishes that he creates and honors the classical French methods required to achieve unparalleled bistrot cuisine. Both savory and pastry menus are ever evolving to reflect the seasons, the availability of the best ingredients and the inspiration of the chef. They are drawn from the various regions of France and the multitude of delicacies that each has to offer. The service is both efficient and warm, rooted in a foundation of hospitality and caring for our guests.
Our goal is for Bistrot La Minette to be accessible to all guests that enjoy superb food and wine, and the company of their companions: hoping to evoke their best memories-or dreams-of traditional French bistrot dining.

We went for Valentines Day and the restaurant rose to the occasion. Our server was very helpful and the room was lovely. I chose this restaurant because they have cassoulet, a favorite dish of my husband, and he really liked it. So, lovely evening.

The overall review score dropped significantly over the course of the evening. Even though we made our reservation several days in advance, we were in a table right next to the front door, where a long line of queued diners stood waiting for their seats for most of out meal. The service attended to us as soon as we sat down to get drinks and appetizers, but dropped off almost immediately after. We had to ask the bus staff or hostess to get our server for almost all service after the appetizers : to order dinner, order dessert, get the check, and pick up our payment after getting the check.

With how frustrating the service was, almost all of the food was excellent. I forget everything we had - definitely the rabbit, scallops, soup, and escargot. The only thing that was subpar was the tarte, which was both small and the pastry tasted mass produced.

Truly authentic French food. Don’t be fooled by anyone else... The owner incorporates every dish and wine from France through multiple trips to and from a year. From the crockery the snails are in, to each wine... everything is from France.

I was happy to return to this cozy bistro on a cold night. It was especially great with the service as attentive as one would hope for and the over all mean was delicious, as always. I love how consistent this restaurant is. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I've been to Bistrot la Minette a few times. The food is consistently fantastic. There was only one time when we had a waitress who seemed unhappy and was not attentive. Otherwise, service is usually very friendly and food comes at a relaxed pace, but not too relexed--I'm pretty impatient when waiting for food but it normally comes before I get annoyed, and is always worth whetever wait there was. I have some dietary restrictions, but the chef is very accommodating! I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything when I am presented with a beautifully prepared, delicious dish that doesn't feel like many components have been substituted. Also, never skip dessert here!

We had a delicious meal on a quiet Tuesday evening. The Boucher à la Reine, the beet salad, the trout meunière, and the raspberry mille-feuilles were all excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

I previewed other reviews before going, and they were all excellent. Upon going, we were NOT disappointed. My Oeuf de la Pecheur was the highlight with the tarragon cream sauce. I could have eaten three of these and died happy!! The interior noise was at a minimum since we dined early (6:30) on a Monday. Very happy - and plan to return!

Enjoyed our meal on Saturday night. Two guest at our table had the lapin and raved about it. The veal stew was also a hit. Don't pass on desserts. All choices were excellent.
